Hi! I'm Anabelle. I'm a 9 year old Border Collie Black Lab mix. She is a gentle and loving dog who likes to be around people. Anabelle loves to go on walks and be outside. She is afraid of storms and the sound of shooting guns and will want to be inside if either of those occur. She is great with kids and people and when properly and slowly introduced to dogs she is fine. She is looking for a loving home where she can get the attention she deserves! You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Tucker came to the shelter on 5/14/2026 as an urgent owner surrender. His owner had a big life change and had no choice but to surrender him. He looks to be a herding breed mix, which could at least include border collie and Australian shepherd. He has a unique brindle coat that is medium length, and he is about 4 years old. He is fully vetted and microchipped and his fee is $150.  Tucker is a little reserved but very nice. He does well with new people, although he might bark a bit at first. He loves attention! Tucker has had some basic training and is pretty well mannered. We do not think he would do well with cats or smaller dogs. He has not been around a lot of dogs similar to his size. He will need some consistent exercise and some good brushing to keep his coat looking good. NOTE:  Adoptions are done via private appointment once an application has been completed and approved. Applications must be submitted at our website, mchs.rescuegroups.org. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport.
