Story
Meet the goodest boy around, Clyde!  This sweet young gentleman is bound to put a smile on your face. He’s one big goof ball that loves love. Clyde has excellent house manners - kennel trained, loves chewing on his toys, potty training is going great!  He is very respectful of other dogs and reads their  queues very well. He would love another playful dog and a fenced yard in his home or someone committed to giving him exercise daily. Once he’s worn out, we will sleep the day away! Growing big is exhausting work!  Does Clyde like food - why yes, yes he does! We haven’t found a treat that isn’t tasty to him. Training classes would be a blast with this guy! We also use toys for training because this guy loves his toys. The more toys the merrier!  Clyde would love to meet you so fill out an application!  If you would like to meet Clyde, please visit spotslaststop.org and fill out an application.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Saga has an estimated birthdate of October 2022 and currently weighs about 45 pounds. She is a tall and leggy dog with the appearance of a herding dog with a mix of some other mystery breeds. Saga is an absolute gem! If you love a dog with a zest for life and a knack for learning, she is your girl. No, she is not a couch potato and she isn't a dog you tire out with a short walk a day, but with someone who enjoys teaching, playing with, and taking dogs on their life adventures, Saga might just be your girl.  Saga absolutely loves toys! She has learned how to catch frisbees and if you want a dog to play fetch with or maybe try your hand at disc dog, she would be a great choice. She has also started to learn the game of canine scent work and is showing she could excel at that as well.  As smart and biddable as Saga is, she is equally as silly. She lives every day to the absolute fullest and will definitely make you laugh. Saga loves to bury herself under things and can often be found under our chairs and couch. It is also not unusual to find her tongue hanging just so slightly out the side of her mouth. Have toys? She will empty that toy bin and make sure to leave every last one in your lap. Life is short so have fun, she says.  Saga lives with other dogs, cats and kids (age 3 and 6) and does well. She can be a bit unsure of new people at first and may shy away if they immediately go to pet her, but she warms up quickly and has never been anything but sweet. Saga is house and crate trained and has done well for vet visits and nail trims - though she might win most wiggly dog award. Saga lives in the city and is learning how to fine tune her walking skills. Boy is she ever excited about those squirrels! Saga has gone to busy events, walked Lake Nokomis, and even tried out some patios and done pretty well. Saga is a great dog with a very sweet temperament looking for her forever home. Saga does tend to demand bark at times and while she absolutely loves playing with other dogs, does have some herding play tendencies. She would excel in a home that allows her access to doggy friends, but would not be the best choice for a dog park due to these herding and barking traits. She also would not do well in a shared wall setting.  NOTE: Saga was found to have some urinary incontinence issues that has since been resolved with an inexpensive medication called Proin given 2x per day. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Please go to our website www.wagsmn.org and fill out an Adoption Application.  Once the application is processed, a Wags representative will contact you, answer any questions you may have, and set up a time/location for a meet and greet!  A home visit is required prior to adoption.  Thank you for choosing to adopt! Breed and temperament determination:  Wags & Whiskers Animal Rescue attempts to determine breed and temperament using a combination of looks, information provided to us at intake, and our experience with the animal while in our Rescue.  We do not guarantee this determination. Story
Hi, my name is Homie. My mom got my about a year and a half ago from a lady who no longer wanted me. We did really well together at first. I got along with all of my fur siblings just fine. Until one day I went after my fur brother for being too close to my mom. She kept us separated for a while, but I’d still try to pick fights with him. Mom and I moved and I was doing pretty good. I have a great dane brother who lives with me here. I ran off when my dad let me out, and spent a month on the run. Mom looked for me everyday. She finally found me but I came back a different dog. I don’t trust other animals around me and really need to be in a place where I’m an only pet. I have to do what is fair to Homie, and find him a new home with someone who has experience with these types of dogs. He most definitely needs to be an ONLY pet or needs to be with someone who is very experienced.

Story
Hi! My name is Pickle and I am from a shelter in Kentucky. From the foster:Hi, people call me Pickle! I'm a 6mo neutered border collie mix. I am sweet, loyal and attentive. I walk really well on a leash with my harness and will follow behind you everywhere. I am still young and working on learning manners and basic commands. With that stated, I still put everything in my mouth so I can feel it and get to know the things around me. I love attention and affection from people and other dogs but my bonded person needs to show me who is safe and I'll feel safe. I have a strong sense of people's energy. I met my first cat friend. I hope they liked me. I am not fully potty trained YET. I am smart but my communication with my people is not quite clear. I chill out in my safe wire-create while my people work and sleep and can hold my potty business till they get home or get up. I don't fuss much. My people think I need more toys to stimulate my mind. When I'm bored in the backyard I like to dig to see what's there. What can I say... I just want to know everything!

Good with dogs,
Story
Meet Kage, the ultimate good boy who's just so darn cute! This gentleman is a pro at house living, fully potty trained, and a master at walking on a leash and harness. He's a social butterfly, getting along famously with other dogs and loving those backyard playdates with his pals. Kage is a stunning mix of Lab and Border Collie, the perfect blend of intelligence and family-friendliness. He's just the right size, like a mini Lab or a slightly larger Border Collie. When you find two fantastic things that go together like peanut butter and jelly, you celebrate! Kage is that winning combo, and now you can celebrate by making him a cherished member of your family. His temperament is pure gold - sweet as honey with everyone he meets. Now, here's the scoop: Kage is a special needs pup, and he's looking for someone who can be with him about 90 percent of the time. Storms, rain, and loud noises send him into severe panic attacks, and he's been known to chew through walls when anxiety strikes. Crates aren't his jam because of past storm-related trauma. He's also dealing with seizures, so he's on medication for that. Kage would thrive in a local adoption, and he's best as a single dog with no cats or small animals around. He's a wonderful companion for older kids, and he loves nothing more than cuddles and long walks. He's got the whole house training thing down too. His foster mom adores him and has prepared him for his forever family as best she can. Now, the ball is in your court. Remember, when you adopt Kage, you're not just bringing home a good boy; you're giving him the loving, understanding home he deserves. Don't shop, adopt, because Kage's life depends on it! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
