Meet Spooky!  This sweet girl is ready to head to NJ, she just needs an adopter or foster to make the trip Meet Spooky  — a one-of-a-kind sweetheart with a story that will steal your heart. This beautiful two-year-old Border Collie–Terrier mix was found wandering the streets before finding her way into rescue, and now she’s safe and thriving in her foster home.   Spooky is house-trained and loves her kennel — it’s her cozy safe place. She’s gentle in everything she does, from her soft eyes to her slow, sweet tail wags. She loves other dogs and feels most comfortable when she has canine friends around. She does well with cats too and absolutely loves to run and play in the yard!    If you’re looking for a loving companion with a gentle spirit and a heart full of gratitude, Spooky might just be your perfect match.  Spooky is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped.  Her   adoption fee will be $450. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Lorelei — an elegant beauty with the best ears in the business and a heart of gold!    Lorelei was found as a stray with her brother Rory after being dumped, but you’d never know it from her loving, trusting personality. We think she is about 7 months old based on her teeth, and she currently weighs 24 lbs, so we are thinking she'll be about 35 lbs full-grown.  Lorelei is still a puppy, full of playfulness, wiggles, and affection, and she’s always ready to be your little shadow. She loves to play with toys and balls, and she really enjoyed playing with some neighborhood children.  She’s doing great with housebreaking in her foster home; we do take her out regularly. She hadn't walked on a leash before she came here, but she's learning quickly that walks are fun. She's played with some of the dogs in her foster home (the others couldn't be bothered!) If you’re looking for a fun, snuggly, adorable sidekick — Lorelei is your girl! Lorelei  is spayed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. She tested negative for heartworm disease. Her adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Story
Meet this goofy girl Gordy! She is about 6 to 8 months old and is about 25 to 45 lbs. She is a mix of what we believe is a border collie/bull terrier mix. She was dropped in the middle of a field and left there to starve to death. She was so scared of people and did not trust us at first. She was never wanting to bite, but was for sure scared of people. We got her more comfy with being around everyone, but will need a slow introduction. She is good with other dogs and kids, but with chase a cat when it runs, not to get it, but just to play. She is working on those manners. She is a great girl and deserves all the love she can get.

Story
Meet Whitney, a 7 month old border collie mix looking for a new home. Whitney has a lot of puppy energy and would thrive in a home with a fenced in yard where she can run and play. She is very friendly and cuddly and is good with other dogs and children. Whitney has not been cat tested so it is probably best to be in home without cats. She is crate trained and is on her way to being housebroken with continued attention to her training. If you are interested in making this beautiful girl a part of your family, please contact Alyson Shapses at 732-597-2203 or ashapses311@gmail.com directly. This is a courtesy post for the owner of this dog.  You will not be adopting from Castle of Dreams Animal Rescue. Please contact the owner directly through the contact info provided above.      March 7, 2026, 10:33 am

Story
Hi, I’m Crumbles ??I’m a 3-month-old Border Collie puppy who had a pretty wild start to life. I was found all alone out in the Georgia wilderness (yep, by myself), until a kind human scooped me up and got me safe. After that, I made my way all the way to NYC — which has been… a lot for a little guy like me.I want to be friends. Truly. I’m sweet, curious, and very smart — but the world is still a little scary to me. I need patience, calm guidance, and lots of positive exposure at a pace I can handle. When I feel overwhelmed, my big feelings come out before my confidence does.Being a Border Collie means my brain is always ON. I’m already showing strong instincts and opinions, and during a puppy playdate I had a hard time sharing toys and got a bit growly. I’m not trying to be mean — I just need structure, training, and someone who understands how to guide a smart, sensitive puppy like me.Because of that, I cannot be a first-dog. I need an experienced, confident owner who knows working breeds and is ready to invest time, training, and consistency. I also won’t be adopted to a home with children under 12, since I’m still learning how to navigate big emotions safely.I have so much potential. With the right person, I’m going to grow into an incredible dog — loyal, brilliant, and deeply bonded to my human. I just need someone who sees past the puppy nerves and knows how to help me succeed. If you’re experienced, patient, and ready to guide a little mind that’s learning fast… I might just be your Crumbles ???Crumbles is neutered, dewormed, microchipped and is up to date with vaccines. His adoption fee is $650.00, plus $8.50 for the dog license if you are a resident of NYC. Crumbles will also get one free exam with one of our participating veterinarians within 30 days of his adoption. If you`d like to meet him please visit, we`re conveniently located in Windsor Terrace, Brooklyn near the F train (Ft Hamilton Pkwy) and the B16 bus. We`re open daily for adoptions from 11am to 5:30pm.Crumbles can`t wait to meet you!Sean Casey Animal Rescue153 E. 3 St.between Ft Hamilton Pkwy & Caton AveBrooklyn, NY 11218adoptions@nyanimalrescue.orgNYS Department of Agriculture and Markets Registration No. RR160
