ARE WE GOING OUTSIDE OR WHAT?`We may never solve the Great Duke Genetic Mystery.What we DO know is that I`m extremely cute, wonderfully sweet, very happy...and... HIGH. ENERGY. Please notice the period between those words.It is there for emphasis. I NEED TO MOVE. If your idea of owning a dog is opening the back door once in a while and then spending the remainder of the day together on the couch... I respect you. I wish you well. PLEASE SELECT ANOTHER DOG. I need real exercise. Walks. Adventures. Things to do. Places to go.Ways to use my brain AND my body. And just as importantly? I NEED STRUCTURE.Because I have opinions. Sometimes those opinions come out as:BARK BARK BARK BARK BARK.What am I barking at? Excellent question. Sometimes there is an obvious answer.Sometimes there is not. Perhaps I heard something. Perhaps I saw something.Perhaps the wind moved suspiciously. I WILL BE INVESTIGATING.Now, you could let me bark at whatever I want whenever I want.You could laugh and say: `Oh Duke! Someone who understands that dogs don`t magically arrive knowing how humans want them to behave. YOU HAVE TO TEACH US.I`m already a really nice dog. I`m sweet. I`m happy. I`m fun. I`ve got loads of personality. But being a nice dog and being a well-behaved dog aren`t automatically the same thing. That`s where you come in.Exercise me. Train me. Give me structure. Be consistent. Give this big mystery brain something productive to do. And THEN? Absolutely. Let`s collapse on the couch together. I WILL HAVE EARNED IT. Zoe is a sweet, smart, 4-year-old, 55-lb Border Collie/Great Pyrenees mix looking for her perfect forever home. ❤️ I adopted Zoe from Hearts & Bones Rescue when she was 8 months old, and she has been such a loving companion. She’s incredibly smart, affectionate, and happiest when she’s surrounded by her people (or her dog friends). She can be a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’ll happily soak up all the attention and love you can give her. Zoe gets along well with other dogs and kids (I’m unsure about cats) and absolutely loves swimming, hiking, and being outdoors. She would thrive in a home outside the city with a backyard and plenty of space to run, explore, and enjoy the outdoors. She is up to date on all her vaccinations and ready to find a home where she can have the space and lifestyle she deserves. I am looking to rehome Zoe at this stage because crowded/loud city life is not where she thrives. I want her to have he life she deserves.

This is a large Border Collie weighing approximately 100 pounds. He is fully vaccinated but has not been neutered. Like many Border Collies, he is intelligent, energetic, and needs both physical exercise and mental stimulation. He needs to be walked at least twice every day and requires an owner who has enough time and energy to interact with him consistently. If he becomes bored or is left alone without enough activity, he may occasionally chew or damage household items. He would do best with an experienced, responsible owner who understands active working breeds and is prepared to provide training, structure, exercise, and companionship. A home with sufficient space would be preferred. I am looking for a stable, long-term home where his needs will be taken seriously.
