Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Mick is a handsome pup who is looking for a new home. Mick is currently with one of our sister rescues in Louisiana but is hoping to come to NJ soon.  We do offer a foster-to-adopt trail to approved adopters. Mick was found as a stray at a community college and he was in rough shape with a terrible case of demodex and heartworms.  He is putting this all behind him, his hair is now grown back, finished his heartworm treatment and is ready to find his forever family. Mick is a sweet happy boy who is now in foster home with other dogs and a cat and is thriving.  He loves to play fetch, playing with balls and even learned some basic commands. He is crate trained, leash trained and housebroken. This loving boy deserves a second chance with a family that will love him and take care of him. Mick is fixed, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. His    adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home. How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to wagoninn.rescuegroups.org. Click on the orange  Online Adoption Application  button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Loki is a gorgeous, loving 3 year old Border Collie who is looking for a family to match his enthusiasm and give him the structure he needs.  Loki is well-behaved and knows an impressive list of commands -- including sit, stay, down, speak, and even SPIN! He loves people and would be best in a home with bigger kids who can match his enthusiasm and perhaps play ball with him.  He loves to run with his current owner and also loves to run with him while he rollerblades.  True to breed, Loki thrives on structure, exercise, and mental stimulation.  He is reactive to other dogs on leash and although he is currently living with 2 other dogs, he does get into spats with them and is no longer friendly to dogs outside the home that he used to engage with.  He may be best as an only dog where he can be the center of attention.  He does need a 6 ft fence as he has jumped a 4 ft one.  He is crate trained and housebroken. He has never been with a cat and will chase if he sees one outside.  Loki is an intelligent dog and would thrive with someone who understands the mindset of the working breed.  Once he is tired he is calm! He is good for baths and in the car.  He is happy, friendly, and a well-loved boy who will be your best partner on the trails and on the couch! Loki is fixed, up to date on vaccines and microchipped. His adoption fee is $450.  Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training prior to adoption. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Adorable, fun loving Strudel is looking for his forever home. Strudel is a border collie mix. He’s just under a year old and about 50 pounds. Strudel is very friendly and very smart! He walks beautifully on a leash, knows many commands and is always happy to work for some treats! Strudel is full of personality and playful energy. He loves to play in the yard and is an expert at fetch. He’s also great at entertaining himself- just give him a few toys and he will show you what a happy playful boy he is. Our volunteers adore this young boy and try to give him a break from the shelter whenever they can. He’s great in the car, loves going for walks in the park, and is always ready for whatever adventure you’d like to take him on! It’s very hard for young dogs to live in a shelter. It’s even harder for smart, energetic ones like Strudel who need more stimulation than he’s getting in the shelter environment. Strudel would love a family (or person ) of his own to love! Strudel would do best with an active family that is willing to provide a little training, and plenty of exercise and love! A fenced yard would be a dream come true for him! Strudel is not reactive to other dogs and may be able to live with another playful pup. Strudel is neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccines. If you’d like to meet Strudel, please fill out an application on our website at rescueridge.com. If your application is a possible match, a volunteer will reach out to you to schedule a meet. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.June 22, 2025, 11:11 am

Story
Meet this goofy girl Gordy! She is about 6 to 8 months old and is about 25 to 45 lbs. She is a mix of what we believe is a border collie/bull terrier mix. She was dropped in the middle of a field and left there to starve to death. She was so scared of people and did not trust us at first. She was never wanting to bite, but was for sure scared of people. We got her more comfy with being around everyone, but will need a slow introduction. She is good with other dogs and kids, but with chase a cat when it runs, not to get it, but just to play. She is working on those manners. She is a great girl and deserves all the love she can get.
