Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.wagoninn.rescuegroups.org Angelica is an sweet girl who is looking for a home. Angelica is in a foster home in NJ. We think she is a border collie mix. Her foster family sees some herding instinct in her. Angelica is friendly, affectionate and playful with her foster family but she is timid with new friends. It takes a little time and patience to befriend this sweet girl but once you do she is your friend forever. While she is in a foster home with kids, since she can be nervous with new friends we think a home with older kids or no kids is best.  Angelica came to us from a partner shelter in North Carolina. She and her siblings were left in a crate in front of the shelter on Thanksgiving Day. It is likely she and her siblings were the result of an "accidental litter" and Angelica didn't get proper attention and socialization for her first couple of months. Angelica is microchipped and up to date on vaccines. Angelica is scheduled to be fixed soon. Angelica's adoption fee is $550. Adopting a dog is a commitment that will require annual veterinary care at a minimum, training, exercise, enrichment, etc. Pet care is not cheap or easy and adopters should consider the costs, time and training   prior to adoption. After all these dogs have been through they deserve a loving, committed home.   How to Adopt Me! If you are interested in learning more about me, and possibly making me part of your family, please go to  wagoninn.rescuegroups.org . Click on the orange Online Adoption Application button to fill out an application. A Wag On Inn volunteer will be in touch soon! Story
Meet Knox! Knox is a deaf, 1-year-old, 55 lb, male Border Collie/Lab/Boxer mix who loves playing fetch and tug-of-war! His superpowers include being an adorable and playful pup, loving all people and kids, and getting along great with other dogs. He loves going to the dog park, hiking with his humans, running at the beach, or taking a swim in the pool. He is high-energy and loves to be the center of attention. He is a smarty-pants, who doesn't let being deaf stop him. He picked up many hand signals very quickly and loves to show off for treats. Knox is housebroken and crate-trained, but because he is deaf, he does have some separation anxiety when he is left alone. Knox takes medicine when going in the crate and only as needed, but it works like a charm. If you're looking for a buddy who enjoys outdoor activities, or someone to keep your kids busy, Knox might be your perfect match. Knox is currently being fostered in Staten Island, NY. His adoption fee is $425. To adopt this pet, please visit https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt All of our animals come spayed or neutered, fully up to date on vaccinations, including rabies (if age appropriate) and Bordetella, are microchipped, heartworm negative, current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, dewormed, and treated for any ailments found upon veterinary examination. The adoption fee covers a portion of these services, and makes it possible for us to continue rescuing animals. For more information on the adoption fees and the adoption process, please complete our adoption application here: https://www.louieslegacy.org/adopt - an application allows us to get to know your family better so we can assess whether the animal you are interested in is a good match for your home. An application does not obligate you to adopt. Please understand that due to the volume of applications some animals receive, we are unable to contact all applicants. If your application is considered a good fit for the animal you are interested in, or even a different pet, a volunteer will give you a call as soon as possible. We are a foster based rescue and do not have a shelter location where animals can be seen during the week. Please see our Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/LouiesLegacy for our weekly adoption album if you are interested in meeting an animal in person. Not all animals attend every adoption event, please check our Facebook page for animal event times and locations before you make a trip to meet a specific animal.

Story
George Bailey George Bailey is looking for a 'wonderful life.' Would you please give it to him? This handsome boy is a Border Collie mix. He is very sweet and friendly. He is an active boy, ~ 8 yrs. old, and is best in a home without young children. He needs an active but calmer home. He is best in a home that will give him plenty of exercise. George lived in a foster home with a Pit Bull Terrier, a Setter, and a Rat Terrier and did well with them. If you have an active but quiet home with older children, please apply to adopt this loving, people and dog-friendly, housebroken boy, at rescueridge.com and if your application is a possible match a volunteer will get back to you shortly. If you do not hear from us, your application might not match this dog's needs but may match another one of our dogs. Please see our website and let us know. Story
Meet this goofy girl Gordy! She is about 6 to 8 months old and is about 25 to 45 lbs. She is a mix of what we believe is a border collie/bull terrier mix. She was dropped in the middle of a field and left there to starve to death. She was so scared of people and did not trust us at first. She was never wanting to bite, but was for sure scared of people. We got her more comfy with being around everyone, but will need a slow introduction. She is good with other dogs and kids, but with chase a cat when it runs, not to get it, but just to play. She is working on those manners. She is a great girl and deserves all the love she can get.
