Story
Hi my name is Bailee. I’ll be 2 years old in January. I love running and love good rubs. I love taking baths, but will probably try to play a bit! I hate car rides and will probably try to crawl onto your lap, which I KNOW is not safe, but can you blame me? The road is a scary place! My current owner loves me a lot and if she didn’t think that traveling to Florida to be an educator was a good idea, she’d keep me in a heart beat…..I mean there is also the fact the apartment only takes cats, *insert puppy face here. Hope to hear from you soon!

Story
Name: Harriet DOB: 9/25/25Breed: Aussie/Collie MixSpayed/Neutered: Not YetLocation: Buffalo  A little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’s ALL IN. When she gets nervous, she politely puts herself to bed in her crate like a tiny, emotionally mature adult Zero aggression, only sweetness. She’s so playful and SO sweet, super smart, already learning tricks, and well on her way to potty training. She’s great with other dogs, and while she’s (likely) got some herding-dog instincts, she’s doing AMAZING with cats and kittens. Heads up: she’s a puppy who’ll probably need room to run—playing tag with other dogs is her favorite sport and she’d happily do it all day   And yes… she has a slight baby possum look—mostly because of those big soulful eyes and that little pink nose—and somehow it just makes her impossible not to love image  If you are interested in adopting Harriet, please apply at www.716paws.org/adoot or message the page is already pre-approved! ##2608227##

Story
Meet White Sox! 12–14 months • 35–40 lbs • Female‍ Border Collie Mix • Short Hair Spayed • Microchipped • UTD on shots & Simparica This stunning Texas girl is the total package — brains, beauty, AND the sweetest personality! What Makes White Sox Amazing: • Potty trained queen• Strong foundation in general training• Well-socialized with dogs + people of all ages• Doing great with cats from her initial “window test”• Awesome on a leash & working hard every day• No barking, loves baths, and can stay loose in a room with zero issues• Lives with 3 resident dogs and shows no aggression — ever! A Smart, Silly, Super Trainable Girl White Sox is toy & food motivated, eager to learn, and full of that classic Border Collie energy. She has her basics down (sit, come, down, touch, stay, leave it)…AND she’s learning fun tricks like spin, paw, sit pretty, and roll over — with a required pit stop for belly rubs. ‍ She’s a superstar at barn hunt class and loves fetch (though she’ll make you earn the ball sometimes ). Ideal Home White Sox needs: A fenced yard An active family who loves walks, training, and mental games Someone who appreciates a smart girl with a goofy, happy heart Car Notes She does amazing in the car if crated. If not, she’d prefer the floor until the ride stops — just needs a little practice! She also gives a LOT of kisses, so more four-on-the-floor work is ongoing. Personality White Sox is positive, joyful, steady around loud noises, vacuum-approved, and ready for her forever adventure buddy. (85)   ##2598844##

Story
We have a tale of 2 sisters and we want to share their story. Gracie and Katie came to us due to their owner no longer being able to care for them. Sadly, most shelters, rescues and humane societies have been running at full or over capacity, us included. What made placement difficult for these girls is that they are both special needs as they are both BLIND and unfortunately because they had no where to go euthanasia was an option their owner was faced with, due to a few rescue options falling through at the last minute. We were contacted by a local vet clinic who was desperately seeking placement for these sweet souls as they were running out of time. Luckily, we had 2 dogs that were adopted over the weekend which helped free up space to take these girls in. The girls have been with us a few weeks and they have their own private peaceful room to relax in together. We knew their transition to a shelter environment with new people would be difficult for them since they are unable to see. We have been taking baby steps & have worked with them slowly as they were very confused as to where they were and if they could talk we are sure they were wondering `who are all these new people, scents, sounds and voices`? We are happy to report Gracie & Katie have made great progress...they have now made the transition to feeling much more comfortable with us, enjoying their walks, exploring our play yard and loving all of the attention they receive from our staff. They love chin scratches, they get excited when they recognize our voices and they seek us out for affection. They have become more confident & playful and we now receive doggy kisses from them! It is absolutely wonderful to see how far they have come from being scared, shut down & unsure of their new surroundings. We are searching for a special home willing to adopt both Gracie & Katie together, as they are a definitely a bonded pair. Although they are unable to see what their future holds, They hear us tell them everyday how a loving home is coming, They enjoy smelling and tasting all the treats they receive. Most importantly they can feel the loving touch of someone who cares each and everyday. Still young and so full of personality at just 3 yrs old all these girls need is a home. If interested in offering these loving pups a second chance please submit an application for consideration to SPCAallegany@gmail,com - for more info call 585-593-2200 ext 2. Applicatio
