Story
Meet Charlie – Your Fluffy Adventure Buddy! 1.5 Years Old 50 lbs Possible Border Collie Mix Male Looking for a high-energy sidekick who doesn’t let a little rain, snow, or Buffalo wind slow him down? Meet Charlie — a fluffy, outdoorsy free spirit with a big personality and an even bigger love for sticks Charlie was built for adventure. Long morning walks? Yes please. Evening strolls? Absolutely. Road trip? He’s already in the car. He rides beautifully and is always ready to be your co-pilot on hiking trails, nature getaways, or scenic drives. This boy thrives on movement and connection. He’s not a “just let him out in the yard” kind of pup — he needs structured walks, outdoor time, mental enrichment, and a human who enjoys staying active. When his body and brain are fulfilled, he happily curls up nearby for a well-earned nap. Charlie is still learning to navigate the world with confidence. He can be reactive to dogs and people on walks, so he’s looking for an experienced, patient adopter who understands reactivity and is committed to helping him continue building skills at his pace. With very slow, intentional introductions, he has shown he can coexist playfully and peacefully with other dogs. Because he can get overwhelmed, Charlie would do best in a quieter home with no young children (older, dog-savvy teens could be considered). He’s looking for structure, patience, and someone who will help him feel safe and secure. And let’s talk about that fluff — when his hair gets wet, it crimps into an 80s rockstar vibe that perfectly matches his wild-child spirit. Charlie’s Highlights: Active, sensitive, curious & hilarious Loves sticks, cool weather & outdoor adventures Excellent car rider Dog compatible with slow, proper introductions Best in an experienced, active home He’s not your dog-park social butterfly — he’s your loyal trail buddy, your walking partner, your “let’s get outside” motivator. If you’re ready for a devoted, goofy, adventure-loving companion and you understand that the best dogs are the ones you grow with… Charlie is ready to meet you. (73)Buddysrescue.org   ##2666766##

Story
Benjamin is a 2-year-old, 30-pound sweetheart whose quiet strength and loving heart shine through everything he’s been through. He was found alone in a home beside his beloved human, who had passed away over a week earlier. By the time help arrived, Benjamin was extremely thin and dehydrated — yet still gentle, still trusting, still wagging his tail. We don’t know exactly what happened to his paw. Our veterinarian believes it may be from a puppy fracture that healed improperly or a congenital malformation he was born with. What we do know is that it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Benjamin runs, plays, explores, and enjoys life just like any other dog. He keeps up with his canine friends, chases toys, and happily zooms around the yard — proof that his spirit is far bigger than any physical limitation. This noble boy is deeply affectionate and incredibly grateful for kindness. He forms strong bonds with his people and has a calm, loving presence that makes you want to hug him close. Benjamin gets along beautifully with everyone he meets and has the kind of soft, soulful eyes that tell you he understands more than words ever could. After everything he’s endured, Benjamin deserves a home filled with comfort, patience, and unconditional love — a place where he will never feel alone again. In return, he will give you unwavering loyalty, joyful companionship, and a heart that is truly one of a kind. Gentle • Loyal • Resilient • Playful • Ready to love and be loved! If you believe in second chances and forever homes, Benjamin is waiting to meet you. Benjamin will arrive in Albion, NY in mid March and we would love to have a family waiting for him! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Your New Shadow This sweet boy is a true couch potato at heart. He’s not high-energy and has no interest in a busy, action-packed life. His favorite things are simple: hanging out with his person, taking long naps, and curling up on the couch for snuggles. If you’re a single person or a couple living a quieter, slower lifestyle and dreaming of a loyal dog who wants to be your shadow, he may be exactly who you’re looking for. He thrives in calm, predictable homes where he can feel safe and understood. Once he bonds with you, he’s deeply affectionate and happiest just being near—content to rest, relax, and soak up love. It’s important to share that he does need thoughtful handling and ongoing support. In the past, he has bitten people, not because he’s a “bad dog,” but because he was misunderstood and people placed him in situations that felt overwhelming, where he believed he needed to stand up for himself. He is currently working with a professional trainer to rebuild trust in people again and learn how to feel safe. Because of this, he’ll need a patient, adopter who is committed to continuing his training and willing to learn his boundaries, and how to introduce new people slowly and intentionally. He does best in a quiet home who understands that trust is built over time—not rushed. This boy isn’t looking for a social butterfly life. He’s looking for a soft place to land, a steady routine, and someone who sees him for who he truly is: a gentle, low-key soul who just wants to hang out, nap on the couch, and finally feel safe and loved. If you can offer him calm, consistency, and compassion, you’ll gain a deeply loyal companion who will happily be by your side every step—and every nap—of the way.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet. &#226&#150&#186 We do not adopt to Canada  due to border restrictions and breed-specific legislation &#226&#150&#186 We adopt & foster locally only ; within an approximately 55 mile radius of Lockport, NY 14094 USA Adoption donation includes Spay/Neuter, Vaccinations, deworming & flea treatment.
