Story
Benjamin is a 2-year-old, 30-pound sweetheart whose quiet strength and loving heart shine through everything he’s been through. He was found alone in a home beside his beloved human, who had passed away over a week earlier. By the time help arrived, Benjamin was extremely thin and dehydrated — yet still gentle, still trusting, still wagging his tail. We don’t know exactly what happened to his paw. Our veterinarian believes it may be from a puppy fracture that healed improperly or a congenital malformation he was born with. What we do know is that it doesn’t slow him down one bit. Benjamin runs, plays, explores, and enjoys life just like any other dog. He keeps up with his canine friends, chases toys, and happily zooms around the yard — proof that his spirit is far bigger than any physical limitation. This noble boy is deeply affectionate and incredibly grateful for kindness. He forms strong bonds with his people and has a calm, loving presence that makes you want to hug him close. Benjamin gets along beautifully with everyone he meets and has the kind of soft, soulful eyes that tell you he understands more than words ever could. After everything he’s endured, Benjamin deserves a home filled with comfort, patience, and unconditional love — a place where he will never feel alone again. In return, he will give you unwavering loyalty, joyful companionship, and a heart that is truly one of a kind. Gentle • Loyal • Resilient • Playful • Ready to love and be loved! If you believe in second chances and forever homes, Benjamin is waiting to meet you. Benjamin will arrive in Albion, NY in mid March and we would love to have a family waiting for him! * Please note: All dogs are rescues so we often do not know the actual breeds but use an educated guess to tell you what they most look like. Our adoption fee is $400 and unless otherwise stated all dogs and puppies have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, 4DX tested(if age appropriate), Put on heartworm/flea/tick prevention, age appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, vet checked and flown from Puerto Rico. For more information on adopting please email madrescueofwny@aol.com and fill out our online application at https://form.jotform.us/70927213338153
