*Name: Gumbo *Age: 2.5 years old *Current Weight: 61 lbs *Adoption fee: $475 Meet Gumby! Gumby is a bright, athletic pup with all the best traits of his border collie roots—an active mind, a love for movement, and endless potential to be your ultimate adventure buddy. This handsome boy isn’t just energy—he’s smart, too. Gumby earns an A++ in training and already knows an impressive list of commands, including heel, sit, stay, down, touch, come, and even “go to bed.” He’s completed SNARR’s training program, so he’s coming to you with a strong foundation and ready to keep learning. Right now, Gumby spends his days at the Adoption Center, enjoying playgroups with his dog friends and occasional outings with volunteers. But what he really deserves is a home of his own—one where he can stretch his legs, engage his mind, and truly thrive. Gumby would do best in a quiet adult only home with a fenced yard, where he can safely burn off his energy and settle into a routine. He’s looking for a patient, supportive adopter who understands that young, intelligent dogs need both structure and love. In return, Gumby promises a lifetime of loyalty, affection, and happy tail wags. He’s the kind of dog who will be right by your side—whether you’re out on a hike or relaxing at home. If you’re ready for an active, devoted companion to share your life with, Gumby might just be your perfect match. Story
**I am located in Georgia, but I can be transported north to you!** Name: Clark aka Clark Griswold Breed: Pit Bull/Border Collie Mix Sex/Age/Weight: Male/estimated DOB 03-2025/50 lbs House trained/Crate trained: Yes/Yes Dogs/Cats/Children: He’s been very friendly with pets of all sizes. He hasn’t been around cats yet. He has been in the same room with our guinea pigs and doesn’t bat an eye. Energy level: He loves to play, but when he sees my dogs settle down and rest, he will too. He loves to sun bathe with my male dog, Clint Eastwood. Before FAR/My history: Clark was on the euthanasia list at Bibb County Animal Shelter when he was rescued by a new FAR foster. He was very beat up, had terrible skin, was constantly itching, had lots of wounds, and was very bloody around his ears. Luckily he healed very quickly after getting rescued. Training status/Commands I know: Still training of course but he’s starting to understand what’s going on when we’re working on basic obedience. He is starting to learn what “down” means, “go to bed” (kennel), and "outside". Things I don't like: So far there hasn’t really been anything he doesn’t like. Things I like: He loves the recliner, other dogs, tennis balls, and sticks. When you sit down, he loves to come prop his head on your legs while you rub him because he loves his head rubbed. Ideal family/Home: Clark would definitely love to live with other dogs in his forever home. He would love to have lots of attention and to have a recliner! If you are interested in giving Clark a forever home, please visit the link below to fill out an application! http://fureverafterrescue.org/adoption-application.html It is best to submit an application through a computer. Story
Charity is a very intelligent Border Collie/Jack Russel mix. She is about 4yrs old and weighs about 20lbs. Charity enjoys being outside playing ball, she enjoys walks and also enjoys down time after some exercise. She can be leery of new people but warms up once comfortable. Charity has lots of Border Collie quirks, she will herd you if not paying attention to her.....she LOVES to play. The most suitable home for Charity is one without children, cats and she would like to be the only dog in the home. A home with Border Collie or Jack Russel experience preferred.

Story
Shadow is a sweet, 4-month old pup that's ready for a home of his own. He LOVES people, gets along great with other dogs, and he is so much fun. If you'd like to learn more about Shadow, we'd love to hear from you. This puppy Is spayed/neutered, up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, treated for all of the intestinal parasites, and current on flea/tick and heartworm preventative. Because intestinal parasites are cyclical, your puppy may need additional treatment once you get him/her home. This is common and nothing to be alarmed about. Puppies and dogs need to be treated periodically for parasites throughout their entire lives. The adoption fee is $550 if your adoption is prepaid prior to your pup's arrival. An additional $50 will be charged on puppies that are adopted at an event, or foster home. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with CT HB 5368. WANT TO MEET OUR DOGS IN PERSON? Check the Events tab on cprdogs.com for all weekend adoption event info. The majority of the dogs marked as 'meet me' will be there to see you! More and more of our adopters are having fun with DNA tests on their pups. You might ask yourself why our breed guess is varying degrees of difference from the DNA tests. Most of our puppies are rescued from high kill shelters or other abandonment situations and we have no info on parents. When we rescue puppies that have no background info, we make our very best educated guess as to breed mix and age. Our guesstimate comes from years and years and years of animal welfare work and training, but our guesses won't always agree with your vet, your neighbor, your DNA test, etc. The most important thing to know about your puppy's breed mix is that most likely he/she is a Super Lovable Mutt made of many many many different breeds. If you are a MA resident, your new family member is required to go through a mandatory 48 hour quarantine period at the Woburn MA isolation facility. Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. An additional $100 fee will be added for any dogs picked up from the Woburn MA quarantine facility. This additional fee is necessary in order to comply with MA Order 405-CD-12 and Order 1-AHO-05. TO APPLY PLEASE GO TO www.cprdogs.com. If your application was successfully submitted you will get an automatically generated confirmation email. Please DO NOT USE the ADOPTAPET "CONTACT THIS RESCUE GROUP" form below or you may not hear from us as these often end up in spam or bouncing back. After receipt of your application, an adoption counselor will then be in touch to answer your questions about this pup, discuss the adoption process and get the ball rolling! If you have not heard from one of our volunteers within 5 days of submitting your application, please email mollibo@gmail.com.

Story
Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots. Lulu is a really sweet dog and wants a home of her own. please apply at www.krrtx.org/forms Please note Lulu is in San Antonio, TX and is available to be transported to your location with Your TX Rescue Connection transport. The fee includes adoption and transportation fee.

Story
Lexi was adopted through a rescue from a high kill shelter in Tennessee as a young puppy. I was told she got along with cats by the rescue. She became very aggressive towards my cat ( also a rescue) and over time has become so focused on hunting him down that it has become unhealthy for both pets. She treats this as if there is a wild animal loose in the house , panting, pacing and anxious. Aside from this , Lexi is a healthy, active, playful 2 year old. She loves other dogs once she gets to know them. She sleeps well in her own bed, and is house broken, loves to be outside ,has lots of energy, loves car rides and is a very loyal companion. It takes her s little while to get used to strangers. She needs a loving home without small animals ( other than dogs )due to her high prey instinct which is due to her breed. . She’s fawn colored with white markings and weighs 33lbs. She’s fine around older kids( over10) and will be a great pet in a home without cats or other small animals.
