This gorgeous girl is Amara. She is a one-year-old border collie mix and weighs 48 lb. Amara is a super friendly dog and loves everyone! She will enjoy all kinds of outdoor adventures with her new family. Her personality is as adorable as her looks. She is fine with other dogs and we expect will be good with children of all ages. This pup is a winner and going to make someone a wonderful companion. She does need a cat-free home. Amara is spayed, microchipped, vaccinated and healthy. Her adoption fee is $400. Charity enjoys being outside playing ball, she enjoys walks and also enjoys down time after some exercise. She can be leery of new people but warms up once comfortable. Charity has lots of Border Collie quirks, she will herd you if not paying attention to her.....she LOVES to play. The most suitable home for Charity is one without children, cats and she would like to be the only dog in the home. A home with Border Collie or Jack Russel experience preferred.

Your new family member will be dropped off by our transport on Thursday and will be ready for you to pick him/her up on Saturday between 11 am-1 pm. Do you like a husky, but maybe not all of the husky traits? Rex is your boy. He is a year old husky/border collie mix (that's mom next to him) who needs a forever home. Rex had originally been adopted as a 3-month old puppy and was returned at a year when the family decided they no longer wanted him. Rex is a beautiful, medium sized boy who is housebroken, can be trusted not to be crated, is obedient and loyal. In fact, he may look like a husky, but his behavior is more border collie, and for that, he needs someone with breed experience. If you move, he moves. He will be at a heel next to your leg, on your lap if you're watching television, and at your feet when you're cooking dinner or eating or sleeping. His coat is silky like a border collie's. He will alert bark, or bark when playing, but is otherwise a quiet boy. He does have average-high energy and so needs an active home. He is non-reactive to cats and gets along well with other dogs. You wouldn't know it looking at this bouncy fetch-aholic now, but Jeffrey was nearly skin and bones when he was first brought into the shelter we pulled him from. With a healthy diet, steady wellness plan and some guidance from the vet Jeff grew into the healthy boy you see today! A border collie mix with incredible focus, a strong intellect and an active athleticism, there is no doubt Jeff is gifted with the traits of his working dog roots. At the same time, this boy has a silly side that will have you giggling in no time! When his work is done Jeffery engages with his people, letting them know just how happy he is to be with them with his wiggly behind and his cartoonishly long tongue. Jeff gets along well with his canine companions, though maybe not as much as his off-the-charts adoration of his people. He typically tends to like more playful lighthearted dogs, especially younger females! He can typically be found romping around in the heat of the action when in a group for play, but don't be mistaken, Jeffery is ready at a moment's notice to drop everything for a round of fetch or a chance to learn something new. After being given time and space to assess the situation, Jeff is more willing to engage in some "get to know" time with treat exchange or an offering of a ball toss particularly if it squeaks and will loosen up. He has proven to be able to quickly build trust with new people given the appropriate approach. Because of Jeff's insecurities, we recommend he goes to a home with children 14 and up and no cats please. He would be a perfect match for someone who loves to play fetch.. a lot and enjoys hikes. Ms Lulu is quite the character! She is happy and funny and Loves to run and run. When she stops, she stops! She took over the house and yard the first day protecting and keeping all threats away from the fence. She is a snuggler and will sit on the couch and sleep in the big person bed or an open crate. She does prowl and protect through the night. She is house trained and uses a doggy door. Lulu is okay with small dogs but maybe no dog under 20lbs until proper intros are made - otherwise male or female dogs are fine. No idea about cats. She is a cattle dog and seems as if she may have been trained to herd beyond what comes natural? She got out of the gate once and was fine with the goat and chickens. Cattle and horses would be safe. She is an active working dog who would love an active lifestyle if you can provide it. She loves the water too. She will herd children by nipping on their heels so maybe a bit older children who understand that's just what her breed does and won't cry. She does pretty well on a leash, rides in the car like a pro, loves puppies because she was a mom a time or two. Her tongue hangs out and her jaw is a bit off (maybe birth defect or an injury) but it does not affect her appetite! She is spayed, HW negative and up to date on shots.
