Snickers came to us through Animal Control. She was wearing a collar but wasn’t chipped or spayed—she is now. She’s a sweet young girl looking for a family to call her own. With plenty of energy, she’d love a yard to play in or even a job to keep her busy. She’s absolutely beautiful, and as always, a meet-and-greet with any other dog in the home will be required. Apply to meet Snickers today!

Story
Cassava—“Sava” to those who love her—is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart and then never lets it go. This lovely 3-year-old Border Collie/Basset mix, weighing 34 pounds, is the perfect blend of charm, intelligence, and easygoing companionship.   Sava’s story is one of love and doing the right thing. She was adopted from a local humane society by a young man who adored her, but as life settled in, his long workdays—often 10 to 12 hours at a time—left Sava spending too much time alone. Wanting more for her than he could provide, he searched for help and never gave up until Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in to change the course of her life. Now Sava is ready for her true forever home—and what a gem she is.   She has a beautifully balanced personality: playful when it’s time for fun, but just as happy to relax and cuddle when the day winds down. She enjoys being active and would love regular exercise, but she’s not high-strung or overwhelming. While she’d certainly enjoy having a yard to run in, she’s proven she can adapt to apartment living as long as her physical and mental needs are met. Sava is housebroken and crate trained, and she settles well when crated during longer absences. She’s still polishing her leash skills, but with a little consistency, she’ll be a wonderful walking companion. Like many clever dogs, she has a playful streak—especially when it comes to paper products—so a dog-savvy home setup is always a plus.   When it comes to companionship, Sava checks every box. She’s gentle and loving with children, social and playful with other dogs, and even respectful of cats. Her temperament makes her an easy addition to many types of households.   Sava isn’t just a beautiful dog—she’s the kind of loyal, loving companion who will be by your side through it all, whether you’re out exploring or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home.    If you’ve been searching for a dog who brings together personality, adaptability, and heart, Sava is ready to meet you.   To learn more or request an application, please email: ccrnewengland@gmail.com       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 24, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Meet Eliza! This young adult petite border collie mix is looking for a special person to continue her training and socialization. She is very fearful and distrustful of people until she bonds, but once she trusts is a fun high energy walking, hiking and jogging companion with her chosen buddy. She's fearful and avoids other dogs and is looking for a calmer experienced adult home with just one person she can bond to and protect. She loves to catch frisbees and play fetch and is a dog who needs a "job" to keep her mind busy and give her an appropriate outlet for her energy... no couch potatoes for this dog! Eliza is about 35lbs full grown and has the intelligence and energy of a border collie, with a bit more of the independent attitude of a shiba or spitz type breed. *Multiple meets required* Please submit an application for an appointment to meet her Primary Color: Black Secondary Color: White Age: 6yrs 7mths 0wks
