Story
Meet Popstar Your Bright, Sweet Little Headliner Hi, I’m Popstar and yes, I live up to my name. I may not be on stage, but I shine in my own quiet, sweet way. I’m a friendly, loving girl who really enjoys being around people. If you’re looking for a companion who will be happy to see you every single day, that’s me. I’m attentive, alert, and I pick up on things quickly. I like to learn, I like to connect, and I really like being told I’m a good girl. I think I’d do best in a home where I can continue to grow, feel safe, and build my confidence with someone patient and kind. Once I know I’m okay, my sweet personality really shines through. If I have a committed adopter or foster, I can be transported on April 16th to the Shelter Pet Adoption Center inside Petco in Huntersville, NC (10017 Biddick Lane, Huntersville, NC 28078). If you’re looking for a smart, loving, and gentle companion to share your days with, I’d love to meet you. Please reach out to NCTeam@austinpetsalive.org or call (704) 266-3647. I’m ready for my next chapter, maybe it’s with you.

NOTE: “Good with” selections reflect general temperament, not confirmed exposure or guaranteed compatibility. Young puppies are not typically placed in homes with very young children. Little Linus-- Big personality! 🐾 Age: 8 weeks (born around Christmas) ⚖️ Adult size: Medium 🧩 Breed: Lab/border collie/chow? 🎉 Energy level: Medium-high 🎓 Smart, playful, cheeky Linus is a funny little guy! He has border collie traits already-- herding and heel nipping is just the way he's made, so a home with experience with high-drive herding breeds will be the best fit. He redirects well and is learning quickly! Good progress potty training and sleeping in his crate. His adoption fee is $400 and includes worming, puppy vaccines, microchip and neuter when he's old enough. Visit our website to apply: www.northmeckanimalrescue.org

Story
Rolo is a very obedient and well trained dog. He loves most all people (except he's scared of the delivery men and runs away after he barks a couple times to let you know they are coming.) and loves being loved by people. Rolo is content spending lots of time indoors and does not pee or poop in the house even when he is inside for long periods of time. We usually keep Rolo outside most of the day as he seems to enjoy that as well. Rolo loves sleeping in his crate and likes spending time in the crate as well. Rolo is a young 13 years old and still enjoys being somewhat active with light running around and taking walks. We feel he has several more good somewhat active years left in him. We are needing to rehome Rolo as we do lots of traveling for long periods of time and Rolo gets anxious and does not like it when we are gone for many days on end and it has become unfair to him. He would love a home where he gets lots of attention.

Story
Cassava—“Sava” to those who love her—is the kind of dog who quietly steals your heart and then never lets it go. This lovely 3-year-old Border Collie/Basset mix, weighing 34 pounds, is the perfect blend of charm, intelligence, and easygoing companionship.   Sava’s story is one of love and doing the right thing. She was adopted from a local humane society by a young man who adored her, but as life settled in, his long workdays—often 10 to 12 hours at a time—left Sava spending too much time alone. Wanting more for her than he could provide, he searched for help and never gave up until Critter Cavalry Rescue stepped in to change the course of her life. Now Sava is ready for her true forever home—and what a gem she is.   She has a beautifully balanced personality: playful when it’s time for fun, but just as happy to relax and cuddle when the day winds down. She enjoys being active and would love regular exercise, but she’s not high-strung or overwhelming. While she’d certainly enjoy having a yard to run in, she’s proven she can adapt to apartment living as long as her physical and mental needs are met. Sava is housebroken and crate trained, and she settles well when crated during longer absences. She’s still polishing her leash skills, but with a little consistency, she’ll be a wonderful walking companion. Like many clever dogs, she has a playful streak—especially when it comes to paper products—so a dog-savvy home setup is always a plus.   When it comes to companionship, Sava checks every box. She’s gentle and loving with children, social and playful with other dogs, and even respectful of cats. Her temperament makes her an easy addition to many types of households.   Sava isn’t just a beautiful dog—she’s the kind of loyal, loving companion who will be by your side through it all, whether you’re out exploring or simply enjoying a quiet evening at home.    If you’ve been searching for a dog who brings together personality, adaptability, and heart, Sava is ready to meet you.   To learn more or request an application, please email: ccrnewengland@gmail.com       PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comApril 5, 2026, 9:29 pm

Story
Remy is a 6 year old almost 7 year old border collie lab mix. I am looking for a new home for him that has more time for him and a fenced in yard where he can go outside and play more. He is energetic, loving, sweet dog. He can be stubborn at times but he is a good dog. He isn’t a fan of other dogs. Only met 1 or two dogs he liked. He has gone thru training class and obedience class as well. Also loves to cuddle at night
