Khal is brimming with personality and full of affection. Khal is truly the BEST companion! He has lots of energy and would do fantastic with an active family, but he’s content with backyard play, too. He is precious and incredibly loving. Gets along great with kids and dogs, big and small. He doesn’t love a crate, and he has not had an accident in the house yet. Khal can’t wait to meet you, so apply soon!! Applications can be filled out at www.piedmontanimalrescue.com/adopt!  Petfinder and Adopt-A-Pet does NOT send us Applications.   We receive many applications and many never respond after processing GREATLY delaying the pets forever home.  Please only apply if you are serious about adopting.  Please also make sure your pets are up to date on you species applicable Vaccines (rabies, Distemper/Parvo, FVRCP, Bordetella), spayed/neutered, and on Heartworm prevention if a canine.   The adoption fee includes their age appropriate vaccinations(DA2PP and Bordetella), Dewormer, spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test as well as the registration of their microchip information to you. Story
Hi my name is Chase. I am 9 year old Border Collie. I have been with the same family since I was adopted as a young puppy. I have lots of energy and love love love to play fetch. I am house trained and crate trained. I like to think that I am very smart and eager to learn. Unfortunately, there has been a few life changing events for my human family over the last couple of years that has made it more difficult to care for me. I am good with other dogs but cats are unknown. Good with older kids. I am looking for an experienced adopter who has lots of time and can manage a few habits. I am triggered by load noises and will bark. I am afraid of thunder and best to crate me if a storm is coming. I have some separation anxiety. I know that being rehomed is not a bad thing and I am excited to see what my future holds.

Story
This is London. She is a 1 year old Border Collie lab mix. Full of energy. She is UTD on all shots, I have her shot records. I just got her spayed and microchipped last month. She is well cared for. I need to rehome her. As much as that breaks my heart I don’t have the time she needs anymore. With work and school, since I picked up a summer semester as well. She’s loving and a bit shy but when she warms up to you she is a joy to be around. She love car rides. She has a bed tent she loves and a crate. That goes to say she’s crate trained, house trained, good with kids. Knows Sit, Lay, stay and up, which I changed to hug lol

Story
Our pretty girl is called Danvers and she is a highly intelligent and smart Border Collie girl that is looking for someone that understands how her brain works. She is a 3.5 year old female that is a little higher on the weight chart than she should be…..40 pounds now and should be more like 35 pounds. She is living in an apartment setting and needs a totally new environment.  She would thrive happily in a place with a fenced yard, a relaxed owner who knows how to be her alpha and who is a confident dog owner.  She does great on a leash and she is typically good with other dogs but she needs an owner who is not anxious on new meetings of dogs.  Danvers is picking up on some anxiety and she doesn’t need to, but Border Collies know what is happening all around them.   She is totally trained on all the commands that you want a dog to know.  She is with an owner who has gone through a big life transition and she cannot keep Danvers by herself as a single person in the home.   This girl is so smart and so willing to learn and absorb a good leader in her life.   Could that be you!?    If so please send us an email at ccrnewengland@gmail.com   PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.comJune 1, 2023, 9:29 am

Story
Our handsome young Border Collie mix boy is not a puppy but not yet a mature adult either.  His name is Quincy is only eight months old and weighing in at 40 pounds.  He is so good and wonderful with children and other dogs too.   He is thriving in his foster home after coming from a very neglectful situation as a younger dog. Now he feels the joy of being loved.  He’s affectionate, loyal and very smart with having mastered his housetraining and crate skills.  Quincy is not a needy boy nor is he demanding or pushy.  He certainly does enjoy having his ears stroked.  He is fully vetted and microchipped and neutered and oh so healthy. We think that Quincy would be an extremely fun dog to raise if you are looking for a smart, good energy for hiking, running, speed walks or just hanging out with you on the sofa.  He is going to be an ultimate 45 pound dog when fully grown.  He is not a dog for a no exercise family or person.  He  is not a Basset Hound. If you are interested please email us at ccrnewengland@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:   Our dogs and cats are fostered in Tennessee and can transport weekly up to the Northeast region.  Request an application and learn more about Critter Cavalry at https://www.crittercavalry.com/adoption.June 1, 2023, 9:29 am

Story
We adopted Ennis right after his amputation. He’s a sweet, kind, gentle dog who’s very afraid and skittish. He knows no commands and needs a calm environment so he has time to heal. Would be best in a home with no other dogs so he can gain confidence, needs someone to give him a ton of love, patience & training. Other dogs stress him out & scare him
