In Need of a Happy EndingZuki comes to us after she and another dog were left behind, with the other dog already in her forever home... now it is Zuki`s turn! Since she`s been with us, Zuki has been easy to leash and walks very well on her leash! This amazing gilr is currently our `greeter dog` meaning that she does SUCH a wonderful job with OTHER dogs, that she is their `friend` that they meet while here! She is such the best girl and truly IS ready for her forever home... one where she is NO longer in a kennel, which she HATES! This girl was made for couches and laps, not concrete floors and Kuranda beds!!! Please come and ask to meet Zuki in person and a staff person will gladly get her out of her kennel to meet you- as she is not housed in the regular adoption kennel, open to our guests. This is to help ease her stress of being here, by being in a more quiet area. We always recommend meet and greets with other dogs and children prior to adoption to ensure a great fit. We do not have information on how she does with cats and have no way to test for this. Please come and meet Zuki in person to learn all about her and see if she is meant to be part of your family at 430 Bristol Drive in Statesville. Please bring a collar and leash OR purchase a combo from us for only $15 to safely take your new family member home safely. This is 11 year old Stella. Her mom adopted her as a puppy from us in 2014. Stella's mom is having some health issues that require her to go to a nursing home. At this point her family is not sure if it will be temporary or long term. Her main concern is Stella, which she considers her 3rd child. Since Stella is an ABLAR alumni, we want to step up for Stella and her mom. WE NEED A FOSTER FOR STELLA ASAP !! She is house, leash and crate trained. Super sweet and loving. Stella weighs approx 50 lbs. She is still very active and loves squeaky toys. She has been the only furbaby but does get along with other dog friendly dogs. Cats unfortunately are not a good mix for Stella. She is also used to a fenced in yard but that would not be necessary since she is leash trained.
