Story
Winnie is an almost 2 year old border collie and Australian shepherd mix weighing ~30 lbs. She currently lives in a home with another dog, cat, and a 5 year old child - all of which she has done wonderful with. She has gone through professional training and is very smart, active and aims to please. She’s great to walk, loves to play with her flirt pole and tug toys, and play with her animal and human siblings! Winnie would do best with an active person, couple or family who likes to be outside and can spend time with her “working” and playing into her natural instincts. She has never once shown signs of aggression towards another animal, adult or child. Winnie does have some anxiety specifically in the car. She needs someone who can be calm to help her work through this. Although she has a lot of energy, she does have an “off button”. She can be very sweet and cuddly and hop right in your lap. Our family is unexpectedly growing, and we have make the difficult decision to rehome her.

This is 11 year old Stella. Her mom adopted her as a puppy from us in 2014. Stella's mom is having some health issues that require her to go to a nursing home. At this point her family is not sure if it will be temporary or long term. Her main concern is Stella, which she considers her 3rd child. Since Stella is an ABLAR alumni, we want to step up for Stella and her mom. WE NEED A FOSTER FOR STELLA ASAP !! She is house, leash and crate trained. Super sweet and loving. Stella weighs approx 50 lbs. She is still very active and loves squeaky toys. She has been the only furbaby but does get along with other dog friendly dogs. Cats unfortunately are not a good mix for Stella. She is also used to a fenced in yard but that would not be necessary since she is leash trained. Please contact 828-612-2951 if you can foster Stella for us. We try to limit our travel time for home visits to a two-hour driving range (about 75 miles) from Morganton, NC. Story
Rolo is a very obedient and well trained dog. He loves most all people (except he's scared of the delivery men and runs away after he barks a couple times to let you know they are coming.) and loves being loved by people. Rolo is content spending lots of time indoors and does not pee or poop in the house even when he is inside for long periods of time. We usually keep Rolo outside most of the day as he seems to enjoy that as well. Rolo loves sleeping in his crate and likes spending time in the crate as well. Rolo is a young 13 years old and still enjoys being somewhat active with light running around and taking walks. We feel he has several more good somewhat active years left in him. We are needing to rehome Rolo as we do lots of traveling for long periods of time and Rolo gets anxious and does not like it when we are gone for many days on end and it has become unfair to him. He would love a home where he gets lots of attention.
