Current Location: Korea 🇰🇷 ♡ 🧡 Meet Ma-eum A gentle soul learning to love again Ma-eum spent his early years tied outside on a farm, living in fear. He was abused by a male owner and frightened by children who threw balls at him. Because of that, he is still afraid of men, loud playground sounds, and the sight of bouncing toys. But despite all this, Ma-eum has the gentlest heart. For the past two years, he has been living in a patient and loving foster home. He has made slow, steady progress — on his terms — and is now ready for the next chapter of his life. 🧬 Personality Ma-eum is a quiet, thoughtful boy with a soft energy. He feels safest around gentle women with warm voices, and he truly thrives in calm, peaceful homes. He may keep his distance from men indoors, but sometimes shows more courage when outdoors. He isn’t the kind of dog who will run into your arms — but with time and patience, he’ll follow you anywhere. He enjoys peaceful walks, nosework games, gentle pets, and long naps by your side. He doesn't bark much, and he waits quietly when left alone after a short adjustment. 🏡 At Home ✅ House-trained (prefers peeing on vertical surfaces — his foster can provide wall-to-floor pads) ✅ Good with calm dogs (interested and social but may growl at overly excited dogs) ✅ Neutral to cats (no strong prey drive) ✅ Tolerates children (nervous around fast movements but never aggressive) ✅ Excellent in the car ✅ Loves brushing and gentle touch 🚫 Afraid of balls and squeaky toys — he prefers games with treats instead 💛 Ma-eum is looking for… A family who will let him set the pace. Someone who doesn’t expect instant cuddles but understands how meaningful it is when a shy dog chooses to stay close. Ideally, a female adopter or a quiet household with gentle energy. 📦 Foster home can provide pee pad setup 📍 Adoption includes interview & home check 📩 If Ma-eum’s story touched your heart, we’d love to tell you more. He’s been waiting a long time for someone who sees past the fear — and into his true, beautiful heart

Story
Hi… my name is Olim 🐾 I’m 2 years old, 18kg, and people say I look like a Border Collie × Shetland Sheepdog mix. I have a balanced build, a full, beautiful coat, and something very special about my eyes. If you look closely, you’ll see it — I have parti-colored eyes. In my dark eyes, there are soft hints of brown mixed in, making them unique and hard to forget. My fur, my gaze, my overall presence… I’m told I’m not a dog you see every day. But what matters most about me isn’t how I look. I was rescued from a past that included abuse and neglect. I don’t talk about it much. I just carry it quietly behind me. And even after those painful times, I still chose to trust people. --- I like opening my heart. I like making eye contact. I like communicating without words. When I look at you, you might notice something thoughtful there. I’m very smart. I observe carefully. I learn quickly. I read your emotions and the atmosphere around me. I listen well and understand more than you might expect. Because of my past, it seems I may have never truly lived inside a stable home. Everyday routines, house rules, the rhythm of family life — these might feel new to me at first. That means I’ll need guidance, step by step, patiently. But here’s the beautiful part: I’m ready to learn. With consistent love and calm leadership, I can grow into an incredible companion. The intelligence and loyalty from my Border Collie and Sheltie roots are inside me — waiting to fully shine. --- I love to play. I enjoy being active. I truly value time spent with my person. I get along well with other dogs and have stable social skills. I would thrive in a home that enjoys walks, activities, and shared experiences. Most of all, I need a family who understands that healing and trust grow best without rushing. I’m not just a dog who needs rescue. I’m a dog you can grow with, bond with, and build something deep and lasting with. I’m waiting for my first real home — and my last. Will you be my forever family? 🤍🐶

Story
Hi… I’m Lulu. Not long ago, I was just another name on a list — a list that meant my story might end before it ever really began. I hadn’t felt what a home was like yet, and I hadn’t learned what it meant to truly belong to someone. But I was given a second chance, and now I’m standing at the door of a brand-new life… maybe with you. I’m a bright, happy girl with lots of energy and an even bigger curiosity about the world. I love to move, to learn, and to play — every day feels exciting to me. I make dog friends quickly and genuinely enjoy playing with them, and I tend to warm up to people pretty fast too. If you meet me, I’ll probably come say hello with a wagging tail and sparkling eyes. Since I’m a Border Collie mix, I’m a smart cookie. I pay close attention to your voice, your expressions, and your energy, always trying to understand what you’re asking of me. I’m still just 10 months old though — basically a big puppy! Sometimes my energy bubbles over and I might get a little silly, but I’m learning house rules and how to become the best companion I can be. And I promise you — I’m ready to learn. I’ve never truly had a home of my own. I don’t yet know what it feels like to curl up in “my” spot, to go on daily walks with “my” person, or to fall asleep each night knowing I am completely safe and loved. But if you choose me, I’ll learn all of that with you. I’ll learn that this is my home, that I am loved, and that I finally belong. If you’re a family who enjoys an active life and wants to spend time training, playing, and growing together… if you’re patient and excited to watch a young dog blossom into her best self… I will be your most loyal friend. I was once a dog waiting for my life to end. Now, I’m a dog waiting for my forever family. Could that be you? 🐾

I also had surgery on both of my hind knees in May 2025, and my vet said everything went perfectly. I’m walking and playing like a champ! I’m healthy, active, and ready for adventures with the right guidance.   My PersonalityI’m a sensitive and observant boy. New places and new faces make me cautious at first, but give me a little time and I’ll warm up quickly. I love people and, once I trust you, I’ll come right over for pets, cuddles, and a little attention. I have a gentle and affectionate side that shines once I feel safe.   My Social Life• With People: I take a moment to get comfortable with new humans, but I love showing affection to those I trust. I haven’t met young children yet, so I’d do best with older kids or adults who understand gentle communication and can give me time to adjust.• With Other Dogs: I enjoy meeting other dogs, especially those my size or a bit smaller. I feel more confident when other dog friends are around and love peaceful playtime.• With Cats: I haven’t met any cats yet, so I’m open to learning and meeting them slowly.   On My WalksWalks are exciting and full of discovery! I enjoy following my human’s lead and exploring at a calm, curious pace.   Life at HomeI’m a calm and easygoing housemate once I’ve settled in. I don’t guard my food with people, though I may give a gentle “hands-off” signal to other dogs at mealtime. I use both indoor pads and outdoor spaces for potty. I’m good at letting you know if I need something or if I spot a stranger. Hi! My name is Cookie 🍪🤍 I’m a 1-year-old female Border Collie mix, about 15kg — a lovable medium-sized girl with a bright spirit and an even brighter heart. When I was still very young, I was placed on a euthanasia list. But someone chose not to give up on me. I was rescued and spent a month at a training center for evaluation — and the result was summed up in one word: “Perfect.” ✨ Now I’m living safely in a foster home, waiting for my forever family. My biggest charm? My social skills! I get along beautifully with other dogs, especially smaller ones. I’m playful and energetic, but also thoughtful — I actually prefer playing with dogs smaller than me and adjust my energy to match theirs. I don’t just play… I play kindly. 🐶💕 I love running, playing, and burning off my energy with friends. I prefer pottying outdoors, and after a good play session, I’m happy and satisfied. If you already have a dog at home, I think we could be the perfect team! When I first meet new people, I might look a tiny bit shy. But don’t worry — it doesn’t take long for me to warm up. I’ll gently approach, open my heart, and show you my sweet, affectionate side. I have a quiet kind of charm that sneaks up on you. 🤍 Because I’m still young, I’m happiest when I’m not alone. I truly thrive when I have a dog friend to run and play with. A life where I can share my days — that’s the life that fits me best. My second chance at life saved me. Now I’m hoping for a life where I’m never alone again. A home filled with warmth, family, and maybe even a furry best friend. Will you be my forever family? 🐾💕

Story
ORRIEOrrie's story starts with a young woman with big dreams, who started a dog rescue full of promise, on a ranch she rented with her husband, in the middle of rural Nowheresville, Texas. They pulled dogs from the same high-kill shelter we do, and brought them to the property to wait to be adopted. For a while the pace of adoptions was brisk, and most dogs didn't spend more than a few weeks there. From the outside, they seemed to be a perfect couple fully immersed in rescue...until one day things fell apart, and the woman packed up and split, leaving her husband behind to look after and rehome over 30 newly rescued shelter dogs. Two of those dogs, a heeler female and a Great Pyrenees/lab mix male, both still intact, were accidentally put into the same dog run. Unsurprisingly, several weeks later, the number of dogs on the property grew by 11 blond, speckled puppies. One of them was Orrie (first dubbed Guinness). Soon after that, we were asked to take on the support all those dogs and find them homes. Of course we said yes.We wish we could say we immediately took that young family out of the yard and put them into a warm and loving foster home, but we didn't have one of those for 11 growing puppies. This is the reality of dog rescue. At the time, we already had over 40 dogs in our care. In one fell swoop, we instantly doubled our roster -- just as adoptions were grinding to a standstill all over the world as COVID lockdowns were ending and millions of people were going back into the office for workdays, many of them giving up the dogs they'd adopted during the pandemic. Thus this family of puppies spent the first few months of their lives playing by themselves in their quiet, rural yard, venturing out into the world only to go to the vet for their vaccines. They had no one to expose them to the sights and sounds of suburban life, no one to take them out on leash walks to learn to navigate busy sidewalks, no one to reassure them when they were scared. Orrie was one of the first of the litter to be adopted and went straight from the ranch in Texas to his new home in the middle a bustling Ontario town.We know now that this was not a good match for our little Orrie. His lovely new family gave him loads of time and space to settle in, letting him determine what boundaries he was ready to cross. He warmed up to the children and got comfortable in the home. They did research, learned his triggers, hired a trainer, changed their routine...for 2 years they did everything reasonable to help him overcome his deep-seated fearfulness. Recently Orrie made it clear that he's reached his limit and has had enough. He just hates living in town, hates it with every fibre of his being. He is BEGGING not to be forced to go on walks on streets full of things that terrify him. Every time he goes out the front door, he's ready to have a breakdown. He is timid, but a goofy guy nonetheless! He loves to be close to his people, playing tug or chasing a ball, or snuggling at the end of a day of fun. Hes leash trained and likes to hike in quiet places, away from city noises. Hes very food motivated and loves to learn new tricks and show off the ones he knows. He will thrive in a home in the country or quiet neighbourhood, away from busy roads and noisy parks or playgrounds.Name: OrrieWeight: ~ 50 LbsGender: Male, NeuteredBreed: Heeler XColour: CreamMedical (past and present) & HW Status: Healthy, Dewormed, UTD on vaccinesGood with adults: YesGood with kids: Yes, with a slow introductionGood with dogs: Yes, with a slow introductionGood with cats: Highly doubtfulHouse trained: YesCrate trained: YesCrate aggressive: NoFood aggressive: NoLeash trained: YesEnergy level: Medium to highSuitable for an apartment: NoCan be handled: YesBarker: Not really
