Story
Meet Aesop – A Tiny Survivor with a Big Personality   Approximately 3 Months Old Female (Not yet) Border Collie Mix 5.5kg | 33cm shoulder height   Aesop’s story began in a shelter after her Border Collie mother was brought in while pregnant in February. Sadly, out of three puppies born at the shelter, only one survived — little Aesop. Despite such a difficult beginning, she has grown into a bright, affectionate, and confident puppy full of life and love.   ‍‍ Social with People Aesop is an incredibly social and people-loving puppy. She happily approaches both familiar people and strangers, enjoys affection from everyone, and easily allows handling. She loves both men and women, enjoys being picked up, and will even roll over to show her belly to people she has just met.   Social with Other Dogs She is equally friendly with other dogs and loves to greet and play with everyone she meets. Even large dogs don’t intimidate her — she confidently bounces right in to play! She may act fearless with other dogs, but when playing with her mom, she quickly rolls over belly-up like the sweetest little daughter.   Cats Her reaction to cats has not yet been observed, but cat testing can be arranged.   Energy Level Aesop has a typical puppy energy level. She enjoys running around and playing, but also sleeps a lot and settles down nicely after activity.   Walks She has not yet had formal walks outdoors due to her young age.   Other Notes No food guarding toward people or other dogs Calm and quiet inside a kennel/crate Currently uses both pee pads indoors and pottys outdoors   She does show some mild separation anxiety at first and may bark when initially left alone, though she typically begins adjusting after a few days. Continued training and gradual independence practice will help her build confidence.   Like many smart puppies, Aesop can also be a little vocal when she wants something!   Aesop is looking for a loving family ready to guide a smart, social, and affectionate puppy through all the adventures of growing up. With her confidence, sweetness, and resilient spirit, she is sure to become an amazing lifelong companion. Story
Hi, I’m Misty 💛 I’m a 3-year-old girl, a Border Collie–Samoyed mix, and I weigh about 17kg. People often notice my soft, fluffy coat first… but my favorite little charm? One of my ears folds slightly—it’s my special signature look 😊 I was rescued from a shelter where my time was almost up, but you wouldn’t know it if you met me. I’m bright, happy, and full of love. I really love people. Even if we’ve just met, I’ll come right up to you like we’ve known each other forever. I love attention, I love affection, and I love sharing little moments together. I’m also great with other dogs! I get along well with my furry friends and don’t like conflict—I’d much rather play and enjoy good company. If you like going on walks or playing together, I’ll be so happy. And after we’ve had our fun? I’m just as happy to rest quietly by your side. I have a nice balance of energy—I can be active, but I also know how to relax at home. I’m still learning what it means to live in a home. Things like potty habits and house rules might be new to me, but I’m a smart girl (that Border Collie side of me helps!), and I learn quickly when someone is patient and consistent with me. I don’t need perfection. I don’t need everything to be ready from the start. I just need someone who will understand me, teach me gently, and stay by my side as I learn. Because I’m already ready to love you. All I’m waiting for… is a family who will love me back, and give me a place to finally belong. Will you be family? 💛

QUICK FACTS Name: Colin Age: About 6 Years Old Gender: Female (Spayed) Breed: Border Collie – Sheltie Mix Color: White and Brown Weight: 19.7kg / 43.4lbs Microchipped, Fully Vaccinated Up to Date, Dewormed   MY RESCUE STORY I was rescued from an unlicensed breeding facility where life felt small and repetitive. I didn’t know much about the world outside of those walls, and everything around me felt unfamiliar. Then one day, I was finally brought somewhere safe. For the first time, I began to experience gentle care, quiet comfort, and freedom to simply be myself. Now I’m slowly discovering how nice life can be—soft beds, kind hands, and peaceful days. There’s still so much I’m learning, but I’m ready for a brighter chapter ahead.   MY HEALTH All vaccinations up-to-date Spayed & healthy with no known health issues   MY PERSONALITY Hi, I’m Colin. I may seem a little shy when we first meet, but it doesn’t take long before my affectionate side starts to show. Once I feel comfortable, I become incredibly loving and happily stay close, always hoping for a few more pets and gentle attention from my favorite people. People often notice my soft, elegant appearance and my sweet little habits—especially the way I gently place my paw into your hand when asking for affection. It’s my own quiet way of connecting and showing trust. Beneath my fluffy, charming looks is a warm-hearted dog who simply enjoys being loved and included. If you’re looking for a gentle companion who brings both comfort and joyful companionship into everyday life, I would be so happy to stay by your side.   MY SOCIAL SKILLS · With People: I can be a little shy at first, but it doesn’t take me long to warm up—especially if treats are involved. Once I feel comfortable, I happily accept gentle touch and quickly begin showing my affectionate side. When I truly trust someone, I’ll roll over to share my belly and enjoy those sweet, quiet moments together. I’m also comfortable being picked up, which helps me feel safe and close to my people. · With Dogs: I’m polite and calm when meeting unfamiliar dogs, usually greeting them briefly before going on my way rather than turning it into playtime. Very high-energy dogs can feel a little overwhelming to me, so I tend to prefer quieter, more relaxed company and even if another dog behaves rudely, I’d rather avoid conflict and simply move away. When I’m with my person, I’m often more focused on staying close to them than paying much attention to the dogs around me. · With Cats: My reaction to cats is unknown   ENERGY LEVEL & ACTIVITY I have moderate energy level – I enjoy spending time outdoors and exploring at a relaxed, comfortable pace, then settling down peacefully once I’ve had my fun. Walks are one of my strengths—I move calmly on leash, stay nicely connected to my person, and naturally follow along with ease, making me a lovely companion for everyday outings.   TRAINING & HABITS I have a calm, easygoing nature and feel comfortable sharing my space, even around food. I’m generally very quiet and rarely bark. I settle nicely in a kennel I usually prefer doing my bathroom breaks outdoors.   MY IDEAL HOME I’m searching for a patient, loving family who can help me become the best version of myself. I’ll thrive in a home with: A family that will provide me with a safe haven – where I can decompress, be myself in a stable environment A family that understands my past and is patient with me throughout A family that enjoys indoor and outdoor time together A family that will love and cherish me forever   SPECIAL NOTES    COLIN'S YOUTUBE PLAYLIST   Apply to foster or adopt: https://www.welcomedogkorea.org For Inquiries: info@welcomedogkorea.co ##2736166##

Hi! My name is Cookie 🍪🤍 I’m a 1-year-old female Border Collie mix, about 15kg — a lovable medium-sized girl with a bright spirit and an even brighter heart. When I was still very young, I was placed on a euthanasia list. But someone chose not to give up on me. I was rescued and spent a month at a training center for evaluation — and the result was summed up in one word: “Perfect.” ✨ Now I’m living safely in a foster home, waiting for my forever family. My biggest charm? My social skills! I get along beautifully with other dogs, especially smaller ones. I’m playful and energetic, but also thoughtful — I actually prefer playing with dogs smaller than me and adjust my energy to match theirs. I don’t just play… I play kindly. 🐶💕 I love running, playing, and burning off my energy with friends. I prefer pottying outdoors, and after a good play session, I’m happy and satisfied. If you already have a dog at home, I think we could be the perfect team! When I first meet new people, I might look a tiny bit shy. But don’t worry — it doesn’t take long for me to warm up. I’ll gently approach, open my heart, and show you my sweet, affectionate side. I have a quiet kind of charm that sneaks up on you. 🤍 Because I’m still young, I’m happiest when I’m not alone. I truly thrive when I have a dog friend to run and play with. A life where I can share my days — that’s the life that fits me best. My second chance at life saved me. Now I’m hoping for a life where I’m never alone again. A home filled with warmth, family, and maybe even a furry best friend. Will you be my forever family? 🐾💕

Hi, my name is McCall 🖤🤍 I’m a 2-year-old Border Collie boy weighing 18kg, and most people notice my eyes first. One shines bright blue, and the other is deep and dark — my special odd eyes make everyone look twice. But I hope one day, when you look at me, you’ll see more than just my appearance. I hope you’ll see my heart, too. Before rescue, my life was not very kind. I spent a long time tied to a short leash, without the freedom to run, play, or simply be a happy young dog. I didn’t receive the love and care every dog deserves. But somehow, even after everything, I still love people very much. Being with humans is my favorite thing in the world. I love when people play with me, talk to me, and spend time with me. Throw a ball for me, run around with me, or simply laugh with me, and you’ll see my whole face light up. I don’t just want toys or treats — I want connection. I watch people closely, respond to their emotions, and get so excited when someone gives me attention and love. I also enjoy making dog friends and playing with them. I’m naturally social, cheerful, and friendly, so I usually fit in well wherever I go. Because I’m a Border Collie, I’m a very smart boy. I learn quickly, notice patterns fast, and pay close attention to people and my surroundings. I’m happiest when I can use both my body and my brain. Training, games, learning routines, and communicating with my family are things that truly make me feel fulfilled. But I should be honest with you too — I have a lot of energy! I’m still young, and I love to run, explore, and stay active. A short walk alone probably won’t be enough for me. I dream of a family who enjoys adventures, outdoor time, play sessions, and teaching me new things. If you love spending time with your dog instead of simply having a dog beside you, we might be perfect for each other. There’s something important you should know: I’ve never really experienced normal family life before. Living inside a home, learning routines, waiting calmly alone, understanding house manners — these are all new things for me. Sometimes I may get excited, curious, or make little mistakes while I learn. But I promise I’m trying my best. I’m not a “difficult” dog. I’m simply a dog who is finally getting the chance to learn what love and family feel like. With patience, guidance, and kindness, I know I can become an incredible companion. Once, I could only watch the world from the end of a short chain. Now, I’m waiting for the chance to run freely, feel safe, and belong to someone forever. Maybe my odd eyes are special… but what I really hope you’ll love is my warm heart, my happy spirit, and how much I want to share my life with you. I’ll be waiting for my forever family. Maybe it’s you. 🖤🤍

Story
ORRIEOrrie's story starts with a young woman with big dreams, who started a dog rescue full of promise, on a ranch she rented with her husband, in the middle of rural Nowheresville, Texas. They pulled dogs from the same high-kill shelter we do, and brought them to the property to wait to be adopted. For a while the pace of adoptions was brisk, and most dogs didn't spend more than a few weeks there. From the outside, they seemed to be a perfect couple fully immersed in rescue...until one day things fell apart, and the woman packed up and split, leaving her husband behind to look after and rehome over 30 newly rescued shelter dogs. Two of those dogs, a heeler female and a Great Pyrenees/lab mix male, both still intact, were accidentally put into the same dog run. Unsurprisingly, several weeks later, the number of dogs on the property grew by 11 blond, speckled puppies. One of them was Orrie (first dubbed Guinness). Soon after that, we were asked to take on the support all those dogs and find them homes. Of course we said yes.We wish we could say we immediately took that young family out of the yard and put them into a warm and loving foster home, but we didn't have one of those for 11 growing puppies. This is the reality of dog rescue. At the time, we already had over 40 dogs in our care. In one fell swoop, we instantly doubled our roster -- just as adoptions were grinding to a standstill all over the world as COVID lockdowns were ending and millions of people were going back into the office for workdays, many of them giving up the dogs they'd adopted during the pandemic. Thus this family of puppies spent the first few months of their lives playing by themselves in their quiet, rural yard, venturing out into the world only to go to the vet for their vaccines. They had no one to expose them to the sights and sounds of suburban life, no one to take them out on leash walks to learn to navigate busy sidewalks, no one to reassure them when they were scared. Orrie was one of the first of the litter to be adopted and went straight from the ranch in Texas to his new home in the middle a bustling Ontario town.We know now that this was not a good match for our little Orrie. His lovely new family gave him loads of time and space to settle in, letting him determine what boundaries he was ready to cross. He warmed up to the children and got comfortable in the home. They did research, learned his triggers, hired a trainer, changed their routine...for 2 years they did everything reasonable to help him overcome his deep-seated fearfulness. Recently Orrie made it clear that he's reached his limit and has had enough. He just hates living in town, hates it with every fibre of his being. He is BEGGING not to be forced to go on walks on streets full of things that terrify him. Every time he goes out the front door, he's ready to have a breakdown. He is timid, but a goofy guy nonetheless! He loves to be close to his people, playing tug or chasing a ball, or snuggling at the end of a day of fun. Hes leash trained and likes to hike in quiet places, away from city noises. Hes very food motivated and loves to learn new tricks and show off the ones he knows. He will thrive in a home in the country or quiet neighbourhood, away from busy roads and noisy parks or playgrounds.Name: OrrieWeight: ~ 50 LbsGender: Male, NeuteredBreed: Heeler XColour: CreamMedical (past and present) & HW Status: Healthy, Dewormed, UTD on vaccinesGood with adults: YesGood with kids: Yes, with a slow introductionGood with dogs: Yes, with a slow introductionGood with cats: Highly doubtfulHouse trained: YesCrate trained: YesCrate aggressive: NoFood aggressive: NoLeash trained: YesEnergy level: Medium to highSuitable for an apartment: NoCan be handled: YesBarker: Not really

Story
With an incredibly heavy heart, I am looking to rehome my beloved dog, Sergeant.Due to a serious health condition that was discovered during complications surrounding the birth of my baby, my life and physical abilities have changed in ways I never could have anticipated. Between managing my health and caring for a newborn, I have been forced to face the heartbreaking reality that I can no longer provide Sergeant with the active, attentive lifestyle he deserves. This decision is absolutely devastating for me. Sergeant is not “just a dog” — he is my companion, my best friend, and a dog I have dedicated so much time, love, and focused training into raising. He is exceptionally well-trained, deeply loved, and accustomed to thoughtful, attentive care.He thrives with:
• Long daily walks and companionship
• Consistent grooming and regular brushing
• Ear cleaning and nail trims
• A healthy, carefully managed diet
• Love, structure, and engagement
• Regular outings and adventures
