Story
I'm Bandit, and I'm on a journey to find a forever family that will appreciate my loyalty and dedication. While I've had my share of challenges, I'm working hard on becoming the best version of myself, and I'm ready for the next adventure in life. I was surrendered to Dog Tales because I was protective of my family. It takes me some time to warm up to new people, but I've been putting in the effort and making lots of progress in my training. I'm a smart pup who's eager to learn and please my humans. I need a family who is committed to continuing my training journey, and I promise to give it my all. With the right guidance, I know I can be the best companion you've ever had. I can be selective with dogs, so it's important that any potential canine companions are a good fit for my personality. Plenty of playtime and fetch sessions are a must—I absolutely love playing with my people. I'm a pup who's always ready for the next adventure. Whether it's a game of fetch, a hike in the woods, or simply enjoying quality time together, I'm up for it. I'm excited to share my love, loyalty, and intelligence with a family who will appreciate all that I have to offer. If you're willing to invest time and effort into helping me become the best dog I can be, then together, we can create a future filled with love, training successes, and exciting adventures.

Story
This energetic boy is looking for a confident and active owner. Bairn is high energy and loves to keep busy! He enjoys going for runs, long walks, swimming and cuddling with his people. Bairn thrives with constant training and loves to learn new things - he is such a smarty pants! He is reactive to new people, dogs and some vehicles; he will need to be walked on a muzzle as a precaution. Bairn’s reactivity is decreased greatly with a combination of: draining his energy, always keeping distance from triggers, positive reinforcement for good behaviour, and constant training on his walks to occupy his mind and keep him in control. Bairn will need a dedicated owner to continue this with him long term. Bairn is not friendly with new people and will need slow controlled interactions when introducing him to a new person. Once he can trust you, he is a lovable and goofy guy. Patience and understanding can go a long way with Bairn and, in time, he will prove he is the best boy! He is only suitable in a house with a fully fenced yard with no small children or other dogs.

Story
Cucho was rescued from the streets of Mexico. He is initially very nervous of new people but is the sweetest most affectionate boy once he warms up. He is quite skittish in new situations and would do great with a doggy sibling of similar size and energy to help with his confidence. He is around a year old and weighs about 35 lbs. Cucho is being fostered in Whitby. If you are interested in adopting Cucho, please fill out an application by clicking on the Apply to Adopt Cucho link below. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.BOUDICA hails from Kenora and was part of a litter of 10 however we just got her and her sister, Mulan. She’s had her first set of puppy vaccines and she’s microchipped. We have no knowledge on either parent so the breed we have her as and the size she’ll grow to be is just a guess. This happy little tail wagger is such a loving little girl who’s excitedly awaiting the arrival of her family to take her home. Her easy going nature will make her a great fit for any family especially seeing as she loves to give kisses and and be snuggled up beside you.  BOUDICA is crate trained and sleeps quietly in it all night but she’ll let you know when she wakes up in the morning as she needs to get outside for the bathroom. Housetraining is a work in progress but she will go outside when taken. She’s only just started to go outside on her leash and she enjoys going on little walks. She has lots of toys to play with and she enjoys the playing with the crinkly ones. She’s very well socialized with other dogs as there’s 2 small ones and another puppy in her foster home.  BOUDICA is looking for a family who will take her on lots of walks and hikes to help her burn off that puppy energy. She enjoys going in a vehicle and will also be up for being taken on an adventure or two. She requires a fenced yard to keep her safe. Children should be age 6 plus and be loving and kind towards a puppy. She has met a cat so as long as the cat in the home is dog savvy then they should get along.  Puppies are fun and cute but also require a lot of work, patience and dedication to training. We need her adopter to be in agreement to sign her up for obedience/puppy training in order to adopt her. Her spay is included in her adoption fee and will be performed by 6 months of age. We also need her adopter to be in agreement with this in order to adopt her her. If you would like to meet BOUDICA then please complete the adoption application to do so. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.May 4, 2024, 9:16 am

Story
Sammy is one of Shelby's 6 puppies. The little family was rescued from BARC in Houston on Feb 13, 2024. Soon after leaving the shelter, they came down with distemper, which was no fun! Luckily they're living with a wonderful foster who took great care of them and nursed them through it, and everyone is now robust and healthy. These puppies are just as bouncy and playful as you'd expect a puppy to be, and don't display any negative effects of their earlier illness, which was a pretty mild case.Sammy is an easy-going, chill little dude. He's happy to roll around in the grass or run after a ball or sit in your lap for a snuggle. Being still with his family, Sam is eager to break away and discover himself and all the things about him that make him special and unique, but in order to do that, he needs the companionship and guidance of a loving human! These bright and affectionate puppies are growing up fast! Born in early January, they're old enough now to join the big world out there. They really need and deserve their own homes. If you're interested in fostering or adopting this affectionate, happy little puppy, please complete an application right away! Story
Sally is the runt of Shelby's puppies, who along with their mom were rescued from BARC in Houston on Feb 13, 2024. In spite of being picked on by her siblings, she is bubbly, happy puppy who is not afraid of people and enjoys playing. Sally's so cute, she loves carrying toys around in her mouth and doesn't put them down even when she wants to bark, it's really funny! This beautiful little girl is not only adorable on the outside, but also has a heart of gold. Don't miss out on the opportunity to bring this special puppy into your loving home.
