You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Meet Jack! Jack is a 2-year-old Australian Shepherd mix with a sweet personality and so much love to give! This handsome boy absolutely loves people, enjoys attention, and has never met a stranger. He does great with other dogs, and we think he would do well with kids, too! He loves playing fetch and tug-of-war and is always ready for some fun. Jack has already overcome quite a bit in his short life. When he first came to us, he was heartworm positive. He successfully completed treatment and is now heartworm-free! Shortly afterward, we discovered that Jack is diabetic and requires insulin twice a day. Thankfully, giving Jack his insulin is very easy, and he handles it like a champ! His future family will just need to understand how important it is to keep him on a consistent schedule with his insulin and meals. Because of his diabetes, Jack will occasionally have an accident in his kennel, but overall, he does very well. Jack is your typical Australian Shepherd: smart, active, and always ready to see what's going on! He loves to play and would enjoy a family who can give him plenty of attention and activity. He can also be a runner if given the opportunity, so a secure 6-foot fence is a must for his forever home. We are waiving Jack's adoption fee for an exceptional adopter! We hope this will give his new family a head start by allowing them to put the money they would have spent on his adoption fee toward his insulin and ongoing medical care. Jack doesn't need someone to feel sorry for him. He just needs someone willing to give him the little bit of extra care he requires. In return, you'll get one incredibly sweet boy who loves attention, gets along wonderfully with other dogs, and will be so happy to finally have a family of his own. We know there is a special family out there for Jack, and we can't wait for him to find them! Medical Notes Neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and microchipped. Successfully completed heartworm treatment and received a ProHeart 12 injection. Requires insulin injections twice daily to manage his diabetes. Vetsulin costs approximately $79.99 per vial through Chewy, with each vial lasting approximately 4–6 weeks at his current dosage. Will need a repeat glucose curve in December 2026 to monitor his diabetes and determine whether any adjustments to his insulin are needed. Will require ongoing veterinary care and consistent diabetes management throughout his life. Handsome and inquisitive Joshua is the epitome of a young pure bred Australian Shepherd with all the bells and whistles of the breed. If you like the curiosity, attention seeking and energy of an Aussie, you are going to love Joshua. This 1 year old is 38 compact pounds and he is immediately ready to love you and be your best sidekick in life. He is very personable and friendly, and will run circles around everyone in the room. Immediately you know this is one smart boy. In less than 2 hours from arriving at his foster home, he learned how to use the doggie door to get in and out, and has had zero accidents in the house. And talking about LOVE? He loves toys. At least twice a day, he empties out the dog toy box, and wants to play with each and every one of them. Joshua really enjoys being around people, and at any given moment, may pop onto your lap without you even knowing he’s nearby. On the occasions that he is still, he does like to be in the lap of, or nearby, his foster people. If you stop petting him, he’ll take your hand in his mouth to remind you what your main mission is at the moment.....to pet him. He loves to be talked to, and in true to Aussie form, will follow you wherever you go. Joshua also enjoys the company of other dogs and will always be the guy that tries to get playtime started. And did we mention how handsome he is? A gorgeous Chestnut Red and lighter red and white, this boy has all the charm and looks that will make the girls swoon! He’s been neutered, chipped, and fully vetted. Other important things to know about Joshua are: He is not a big barker. He usually just barks after his foster dog brother and sister start it up, and he will chime in. He currently spends the night in a crate. After some initial whimpering, stays quiet through the night. We’ve tried to give him free run of the house at night, but it usually ends up with him, jumping on someone’s face in the middle of the night, reminding us he wants some attention and loving pats on the head. Joshua is a really joyful little guy, and thrives on attention and action. It’s important that his adopters understand the personalities and needs of Australian Shepherds. This Aussie/Cattle Mix girl is 2.5 years and weighs 30-35 pounds and she is the definition of a Velcro dog—she loves cuddling, being held, getting pets, and following her favorite humans from room to room. If you’re looking for a dog who truly wants to be your best friend, Ghost is your girl! She has the cutest goofy side, too. Ghost loves running around the yard, playing chase, getting the zoomies, and doing her little spins when she gets excited. She’s also VERY treat motivated and will happily work for snacks! Ghost is house trained and crate trained and would absolutely love a home with a secure fenced yard. She’s much more of a backyard-zoomies girl than a long-walk girl—the busy outside world can sometimes be a little overwhelming for her, and she’s happiest running and playing somewhere familiar and secure. Ghost would love to be your one-and-only pet and soak up all the attention for herself. Other dogs can make her uncomfortable, so a home where she doesn’t have to share her space with other animals will allow her to relax and be her happiest self. Two girls and one boy named Benny are all looking for their forever homes. Sweet Tilly is just the nicest and easiest dog you could ever meet. She loves all other animals that she meets and in her foster home she is around cats, donkeys, horses, a pot belly pig, other dogs of all sizes and ages and also the sweet young grandchildren of her foster mom. This girl never has anything but love with every step she takes in life. When we tell the story of Mika, we have chosen to leave out the harsh details of the neglect and dirty conditions that she lived in. Suffice to say it was disturbing to view. She was rescued alongside her sister, Millicent who endured the same harsh living conditions. Despite a history of being mistreated and neglected, Mika the 18 month old, 52 pound Aussie/Hound mix girl has a heart of gold and has shown zero resentment. She has spent the last few weeks learning what it means to be safe, clean, and cared for, and she has taken to her new life with total grace. Personality: Calm, affectionate, and steady.
