You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. What a beautiful girl!  We are learning more about this girl as she is new to our rescue.  She is housebroken, crate trained, good in the car, loves attention, extremely intelligent, needs to lose weight and is doing great with her leash work and manners since being in her foster home.  We also know that she needs to learn how to interact better with dogs (she is lacking in confidence), that she does not need to be with younger children, and does not need to be around cats.  She would be best in a home that is knowledgeable about herding breeds and what it takes to provide the right home for them. Think you may be the right home?  If interested, please complete our adoption applicaton at: https://lastchancepetrescueinc.rescuegroups.org/forms/form?formid=7215      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.April 24, 2026, 10:22 pm

Story
Tink’s story didn’t begin the way any young dog’s should — but we believe her best chapter is still waiting to be written very soon now that she is in the care of Critter Cavalry Rescue.  At just two years old, this striking blue-eyed Australian Shepherd girl has already experienced motherhood and heartbreak. She gave birth to a litter of puppies on Thanksgiving Day, nurturing them with devotion. But by Valentine’s weekend, her own world changed. When her owner suffered a stroke and was hospitalized in ICU, Tink was left confined inside a camper for four long days, alone and unsure. It would be understandable if that experience made her fearful or withdrawn. Instead, Tink emerged gentle, loving, and incredibly devoted to people. Currently weighing 38 pounds (and needing about five more to reach her ideal weight), Tink is a petite Aussie with a soft and gentle temperament and a playful streak. She absolutely adores children and has a naturally sweet, careful way about her. She loves playing fetch, going on walks, and burning off her energy in a securely fenced yard — which is a must for this active, intelligent breed.  Tink is mostly housebroken and simply needs the consistency of a routine. She does well in a crate and walks nicely on leash. We are currently evaluating her with other submissive dogs, as a recent attempt to pair her with a strong alpha female was not a good fit — which is understandable after all she’s been through. She may truly shine as the center of someone’s world. Tink has proven she is resilient. She has proven she is loving. Now she just needs someone who will prove to her that she will never be left behind again. If you feel your home might be the safe and steady future this beautiful girl deserves, please email Critter Cavalry at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and tell us your city and state. Tink is ready to begin again — this time, forever.  ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.March 7, 2026, 12:24 pm

Story
Kenny is the kind of dog who doesn’t need to demand attention—he simply earns your heart by being quietly, wonderfully present. This stunning 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, with his rich brown merle coat and soulful eyes, has a calm, steady spirit that feels like home from the moment you meet him. At 50 pounds, he’s the perfect size to be your constant companion—never far, always devoted.   After spending six long months waiting in a small New Mexico shelter, Kenny is more than ready to leave that chapter behind and embrace the love he’s always deserved. Despite a slight vision impairment, he moves through life with confidence and grace, never letting it slow him down. In fact, his resilience only makes him more remarkable.   Kenny is incredibly smart, beautifully mannered on a leash, and fully potty trained. He’s the kind of dog who finds joy in the simplest things—resting quietly at your feet, leaning gently against you, or soaking in every bit of affection you’re willing to give. He’s gentle with everyone he meets, wonderful with other dogs, and has a soft, kind nature that makes him truly special. Offer him a treat and he’ll happily sit… and if you’re lucky, he might even place his paw in your hand like a quiet promise of loyalty.   He would thrive in a peaceful home with a fenced yard where he can safely explore and enjoy the calm life he’s been waiting for. Kenny isn’t just looking for a home—he’s looking for his person. Someone to love, to follow, and to quietly adore every single day.   If you’re ready for a deeply loyal, affectionate companion who will bring a sense of peace and devotion into your life, Kenny is waiting for you. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and give this beautiful soul the forever home he’s been dreaming of.   version 2There is something truly special about Kenny—the kind of presence that instantly puts you at ease and makes you feel like you’ve known him forever. This beautiful 3-year-old Australian Shepherd, weighing 50 pounds and dressed in a striking brown merle coat, is the definition of gentle devotion.   Kenny’s past hasn’t been easy. He spent six long months in a small New Mexico shelter, quietly waiting and hoping for someone to see him. But what makes Kenny extraordinary is not where he’s been—it’s the love he still has to give. Despite a slight eyesight impairment, he navigates the world with quiet confidence, never missing a step when it comes to companionship.   He’s incredibly intelligent, fully house-trained, and walks like a dream on a leash. But what truly sets Kenny apart is his heart. His favorite place in the world is right beside you—whether that’s lying at your feet, resting his head nearby, or simply being your shadow. He doesn’t ask for much, just the comfort of knowing he belongs.   Kenny is wonderful with other dogs, kind with people of all ages, and has a calm, easygoing nature that makes him a perfect fit for a relaxed home. He’ll sit politely for treats and might gently offer you his paw, as if to say, “I’m yours.”   He would love a home with a fenced yard where he can safely enjoy the outdoors, but more than anything, he’s looking for a person to love with his whole heart. Kenny is the kind of dog who will quietly, faithfully, and completely change your life.   If you’re searching for a loyal companion who will bring warmth, peace, and unconditional love into your home, Kenny is ready to meet you. Email Critter Cavalry Rescue at ccrtennessee@gmail.com and let this incredible boy become your best friend.   ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED. Contact ccrtennessee@gmail.com.April 24, 2026, 11:27 pm

Story
Bandit is an only child the best, but when he does find a friend he bonds with, he is loyal to the end. He prefers small girl dogs. He can be dominant, and CANNOT be around livestock. He loves to find your socks and bring them to you. He is moderate energy, isn’t one to jump all over you but does like a consistent type of play.
