Story
Their owner passed away January. There are 2 dogs. No family/friends to take them. They are a mans dog. Was a single older man that raised them. They are good dogs. Will take food from my hand (female) but will not let me pet them. Will allow my husband to pet them, they love on him. My son sometimes. Again, a man's dog. Skittish of others. They are an indoor /outdoor dog. Since owner's passing they have been outdoors. They are due for their vaccines but were up to date prior. Do not believe they are fixed-seen them try to hump a smaller female dog. Really need to find them a loving home. Both dogs are 5 yrs in age and brothers. The owner raised them since birth. They are not trained other than basic commands - sit, lay, ect but will only adhere to a man. They listen to me as far as telling them to go to their resting area. Very quiet dogs. They do not jump on you or get in your face. Be nice to keep them together. But if you h ave to separate then you just do. (Male Dogs) Thank you

Story
Rachel - Border Collie/Lab mix - Female - 4.5 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Rachel: this beautiful, sweet and careful 4.5-year-old Border Collie Lab has returned to us as her needs and her families availability simply grew apart, like it happens sometimes. Rather than fitting a square peg into a round hole, it was determined that Rachel would be happier in a home that can more closely fit her needs. Rachel likes to have something to do, either playing with a toy or one of her dog friends or going for a walk. She seems to have a permanent smile on her face, and loves attention. She can be a little sneaky and will find unsecured garbage cans and unattended food - as she is very smart. She fine with relaxing with her pack after some playtime. Rachel is fine with other dogs and wants to please her humans and loves to cuddle. Rachel does not like to be left alone, and is looking for a home where someone is home a lot and can devote time and energy to her exercise, training and give her the attention and affection she craves. Some dogs handle changes easily, Rachel is not one of them, so an experienced and patience handler is preferred. Rachel would do best in a home with another dog or more than one, she loves kids, is house trained, but does not like to be alone and is not a fan of the crate. She is highly food motivated, which is great for training, is fine in the car, her leash training could use some fine tuning. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets***

Story
Suki was a family member dog, she and her sister had to be separated. We brought her to our large home that has 2-1yr old German shepherds. They tower over her and it's unsettling to Suki. GSD are huge! Lol we love Suki, who is very gentle and lovable. she deserves a loving home free of furry giants. She loves a bath, and blow dry her beautiful fur. She loves to take walks. Her puppy crate will go with her.

Story
My name is Dallas, and I love to run and play!! I enjoy chewing toys and deer antlers. I get along well with my foster mom’s three other dogs. I'm very grateful to my foster mom and I'm very protective of her. I don’t remember who my parents are or where I placed my birth certificate but she found me and who we believe to be my brother Austin together on the side of a road on December 23, 2022. Both of us had obvious signs of abuse, but thanks to my foster mom that part of our life is over now. We play outside in the yard and love to run and burn all that energy we have. My foster mom feeds us a healthy diet that includes raw bones, meats an chicken combined with veggies like sweet potatoes, squash string beans, etc. She said this is good for my coat and overall health. My potential adopters should know I would still benefit from basic training and I will need space to run around and play.May 10, 2024, 1:46 am
