Story
Rachel - Border Collie/Lab mix - Female - 5.5 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Rachel: this gorgeous 5.5-year-old Border Collie Lab has returned to us as her needs and her families availability simply grew apart, like it happens sometimes. Rather than fitting a square peg into a round hole, it was determined that Rachel would be happier in a home that can more closely fit her needs. Rachel likes to have something to do, either playing with a toy or one of her dog friends or going for a walk. She seems to have a permanent smile on her face, and loves attention. She can be a little sneaky and will find unsecured garbage cans and unattended food - as she is very smart. She fine with relaxing with her pack after some playtime. Rachel is fine with most other dogs - she can be a little slow on picking up subtle social cues form other dogs ("I don't want to play right now" - "OK, how about now" 5 seconds later...) so tolerant dogs are the easiest fit, and while she is pretty easily corrected and redirect, you may have to repeat yourself a few times for her to believe you. She does want to please her humans and loves to cuddle. Rachel does not like to be left alone, and is looking for a home where someone is home a lot and can devote time and energy to her exercise, training and give her the attention and affection she craves. Some dogs handle changes easily, Rachel is not one of them, so an experienced and patience handler is preferred. Rachel would do best in a home with another dog or more than one, she loves kids, is house trained, but does not like to be alone and is not a fan of the crate. She can be crated and is currently crated, albeit in a rather high security crate. She is highly food motivated, which is great for training, is fine in the car, her leash training could use some fine tuning, but she is making great progress and has attended numerous group classes with her trainer with great success. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets***

Story
Hi, I'm Bronze ! I'm a happy go-lucky pup with lots of joyful energy to share. I have 3 legs, but that does not slow be down one bit! I get the zoomies just like any other pup and I can be just as fast as them! I love giving kisses and getting my pets. On the nice sunny days I'm all about laying out in the sun to soak in some Vitamin D. I’m currently hanging out with my friends while getting basic training at our offsite partner boarding facility. Submit an adoption survey to set up an appointment to meet me! To learn more about me, fill out our adoption survey: https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/BHOU/Dog

Story
Monkey is a fun and spunky border collie mix puppy who would make a great addition to any active family looking for a fun-loving companion. Monkey loves to play and he will keep you laughing with his antics! He is a graduate of the Believe in Dog Training Puppy Class Part One and Puppy Day School program and knows all of his basic skills. He plays well with other dogs and loves meeting new people! He is fully potty-trained and crate-trained and is able to co-habitate with cats. His current favorite activity is going on "sniffaris" and then snuggling on the couch with his foster family at night. He is wonderfully socialized and takes any new experience in stride. He is great with kids (10+), especially those old enough to learn all of his life skills and practice with him. He is an incredibly smart boy and loves puzzles and enrichment toys. Monkey continues to attend Puppy Day School at Believe in Dog so that he can be the best dog he can be for his new family. Monkey is up to date on his vaccines & will be getting neutered soon. He has always been in a loving home and is up for adoption through no fault of his own. His original family was faced with life-threatening medical issues and they could no longer put Monkey first, so he is currently thriving with his foster family until his forever home is found. Monkey is eager to start his next chapter through local adoption in the Greater Houston area.

Story
Hey there! My name is Sadie, and I am an adorable female puppy with a lot of energy and love to give. I'm athletic and curious, and I love to play, explore, and make new friends. I'm also vocal and independent, so I'm happy to entertain myself with my favorite toy but also enjoy a snuggle on the couch. I'm very friendly and love meeting new humans, but I'm not sure about other dogs just yet, so I'm looking for a home where I can be the center of attention. I'm a baby, so I am looking for a family that can teach me how to be the best dog I can be. If you're looking for a playful, loving, and adorable companion, apply to adopt me today! CAN WE MEET TODAY PLEASE CONTACT CELESTINE 832-659-2576.

Story
Oakley was recently returned to us after being rehomed. Based on their experience with him, he is a great companion but would thrive more in a home with a single individual or couple with no kids or other animals at their home. If you do have visitors, he would just need to be isolated from them. We have a toddler, and two more babies on the way, and do not feel comfortable with Oakley being around them based on past incidents with children in our family. He may have experienced undisclosed trauma before we adopted him. Other than that, he is great when getting groomed and he has received great reviews from local Doggie Day Cares. No biting or dog fighting with either. He loves playing fetch, cuddling, and running through the yard. He is also house and kennel trained.
