Story
Oliver is a very special dog. He is a very busy busy dog. He is great with kids. He is kennel trained. He sleeps in a kennel at night because he is so busy. If not, he would roam the house all night long. As far as I know, he is good with other animals like chickens. He is good with our male German Shepherd. I’m not sure if he should be rehomed with other new dogs. He is a little bit, afraid of men. He loves to spend most of his time outside but comes in in the evenings to cuddle/sleep and hang out with the family. He will make a great outside dog. He listens to commands. He is good about staying next to me and listens to my kids as well. We just don’t have enough land anymore for him.

Story
Rachel - Border Collie/Lab mix - Female - 6.5 yrs - www.twyla.org If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org Meet Rachel: this gorgeous 6.5-year-old Border Collie Lab has returned to us as her needs and her families availability simply grew apart, like it happens sometimes. Rather than fitting a square peg into a round hole, it was determined that Rachel would be happier in a home that can more closely fit her needs. Rachel likes to have something to do, either playing with a toy or one of her dog friends or going for a walk. She seems to have a permanent smile on her face, and loves attention. She can be a little sneaky and will find unsecured garbage cans and unattended food - as she is very smart. She fine with relaxing with her pack after some playtime. Rachel is fine with most other dogs - she can be a little slow on picking up subtle social cues form other dogs ("I don't want to play right now" - "OK, how about now" 5 seconds later...) so tolerant dogs are the easiest fit, and while she is pretty easily corrected and redirect, you may have to repeat yourself a few times for her to believe you. She does want to please her humans and loves to cuddle. Rachel does not like to be left alone, and is looking for a home where someone is home a lot and can devote time and energy to her exercise, training and give her the attention and affection she craves. Some dogs handle changes easily, Rachel is not one of them, so an experienced and patience handler is preferred. Rachel would do best in a home with another dog or more than one, she loves kids, is house trained, but does not like to be alone and is not a fan of the crate. She can be crated and is currently crated, albeit in a rather high security crate. She is highly food motivated, which is great for training, is fine in the car, her leash training could use some fine tuning, but she is making great progress and has attended numerous group classes with her trainer with great success. ***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet, as not all dogs come to all Meet and Greets***

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. This delightful puppy with those gorgeous ice blue eyes is named 'Chestnut' and we think he may be a 'Texas Heeler' (Australian cattle dog and Australian shepherd mix).  As you'd expect, he's a very intelligent and playful guy willing to cuddle with everyone!  He was rescued by one of our wonderful volunteers and was adopted out as a puppy but had to be returned when his owner could no longer work from home.  He is looking again for a new home to call his own and we think he would do best as an only dog. Chestnut is neutered and current on his vaccinations, worming, heartworm prevention and flea control.  His $125 adoption fee also includes a LIFETIME microchip registration with HomeAgain.  If you've fallen for this little 'nut' please click on the green arrow icon near the top of the page to submit an online application (no cost or obligation).  Once approved we'll gladly set up a time for you to meet  in person to see if it's a good match.  Thank you for thinking Rescue.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 10, 2026, 12:09 am

Story
He's cute, he's fun and he promises to bring lots of love to your life every single day. Jovi is a 8-year-old, approx. 56 lbs, Australian Shepherd mix. He’s smart, playful, friendly and good with dogs his size with proper introductions. Small dogs/animals and cats are, unfortunately, a no go for this fella. Jovi loves human companionship and he does well with kids, but his enthusiasm makes him a better fit for older ones. He is house and crate trained and his leash skills, well, they are a work in progress. Jovi's favorite activities include running, playing in the kiddie pool and snuggling after a long day of play. This guys ideal match would be an experienced, patient and committed home that can provide structure and boundaries. Jovi needs an area to expend his bursts of Aussie energy, so a fenced yard is required. Once those bursts are expended, he's ready to snuggle in for a good book or a movie. Jovi is looking for a home where he can stretch out, soak up attention and claim his rightful spot on the couch. If you’re searching for a playful, affectionate dog with a big personality and an even bigger heart, Jovi is ready to be your guy. ***IMPORTANT ADOPTION INFORMATION*** Adoption fee is $300 All dogs are fully vetted before leaving rescue (vaccinations, spay or neuter and microchip). Rock-A-Bully and Friends Rescue is based in Houston, TX. Transport is available to select cities in the Northeast, Midwest and Pacific Northwest for an additional fee. Thank you for considering adoption! ***TO SUBMIT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION: Adoption Application is linked towards the top and further down on this page (https://www.rockabullyaf.org/adoption-application.html) OR Visit our website: WWW.ROCKABULLYAF.ORG ⭐️ Please notify your VET & REFERENCES and authorize them to speak with us regarding your application. NOTE: Please practice the 3-3-3 Rule when bringing home a new furry family member. Adopted dogs need patience and understanding as they decompress in a new home with new people and a new schedule.
