Story
Aspen was has already experienced loss in her short six months- she was purchased from a breeder and then left alone for 14 hours so she was surrendered abour two months ago. She's asked that her next adopter please keep her furever. Luckily this sweet girl isn't taking it personally and is super friendly with everyone she meets including dogs and kids. She is decent on a leash- practice makes perfect. She is crate trained but prefers to be out, especially with you! As with a lot of white dogs, Aspen is deaf but it doesn't bother her and she doesn't know any different. Hand signals are great for hearing and deaf dogs, so we know she'll do just fine. Aspen is being fostered in San Antonio, Texas until you give her the signal to head on up to see the Aspens herself in Colorado. ##2380382##

Story
Name: Carmella Breed: Border Collie Sex: Female Age: 2 year old Weight: 45 lbs. Carmella has some behavioral needs, and she's available for adoption or through a foster-to-adopt arrangement. Good with dogs? Carmella will need a slow introduction to other dogs Good with cats? No Good with kids? Not tested but based on her behavior with meeting new people we would recommend she go to a kid free home. Energy level: High. Carmella is a driven Border Collie with a strong need for mental stimulation. She would thrive in a home where she has a job to do—bonus points if her adopter is interested in helping her learn how to herd! With her high energy and working-dog instincts, Carmella would love nothing more than a purpose-filled life where she can stay active and engaged. Animal Characteristics: Carmella is a beautiful, sensitive soul searching for someone special to help her shine. This shy girl hasn’t had the easiest start, and she’s still learning to trust the world around her. When meeting new people, Carmella can be fearful— but with patience, structure, and love, she begins to open up. Her ideal home will be with an experienced, compassionate adopter committed to continuing her training and providing slow, gentle introductions to new people and situations. Carmella isn’t the kind of dog who will greet you with tail wags and kisses on day one — but if you give her time and understanding, you’ll earn the love of a truly loyal companion. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. I look forward to meeting you!

Shelter visiting hours are 12 pm to 4 pm - Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays Please fill out an adoption application at mamcorescue.org or attend one of our Saturday adoption event. Events are held each Saturday from 12 pm to 5 pm at our office: 2721 W Oxford Ave., Suite 6 Englewood, CO 80110 *In order to protect our puppies, we do not allow puppies to attend open events until they have a minimum of two vaccinations. Puppies who are available, but not listed on our weekly Facebook event, are considered "deposit only" puppies. These puppies will only attend the event IF they are reserved through a deposit. You can check the list of puppies attending the open event by checking the event: https://www.facebook.com/MAMCORescue  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. Unless otherwise stated, all of our dogs are mixed breeds. We never guarantee the size, breed, or temperment of any of our puppies.  ##2214471##

Story
He knows basic commands, such as, sit, down, stay, paw, leave it. We are working on some anxiety training as he is very territorial of his home and his people, but not aggressively, just barks non-stop until he is comforted knowing his people and home are okay. He is the biggest cuddle bug. He gets along with other dogs, big and small. Just please be sure he is properly introduced, he has never been aggressive but we've never improperly introduced to give him the chance to be. I'm sure with his anxiety, he would be, if not properly introduced! He is used to livestock animals anywhere from chickens and pugs to horses! He loves to play tag with the horses but the chickens scare the daylights out of him!! He is not a good livestock protector though, as he hates being cold or left outdoors for too long! Lol. But he will wear out your goats! He deserves to be healthy in his home. We want him to go to a home with as much love and happiness as he has here! He does prefer the calmness of older children, although the crawling babies he adores too. He needs space to run or a family willing to take him on walks often, as it helps with his anxiety. He will not do well in apartments or townhomes.    He is up to date with rabies, but has no other vaccines, as we do not board him and he is only on our property. He is neutered. He has had one small surgery when he was a puppy for a cyst on his nose, but no further issues have transpired from that since. He is fed half kibble and half homemade/fresh food, or helps himself to the chicken eggs or pigs food! Lol. But he really will eat whatever! You will need a slow eat or puzzle bowl because he'll choke himself trying to eat! He's a good ball that loves to play, he will be the extra joy a family needs!! He is everything the pitbulls have to offer, for sure!! *Due to concerns surrounding COVID-19, we have reformatted the way that we do adoptions in order to follow social distancing protocols. We are thrilled that so many people want to adopt right now, but we are not equipped to handle the large number of calls, applications, and email inquiries we are receiving. We are no longer answering phone calls and are doing all communications with adopters via email. If you have a dog you are interested in adopting, please fill out an application before sending us emails. When your application has been processed, you will receive an email from us with further instructions on how to adopt. You do not need a new application for every dog that you are interested in adopting.  At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. Adoption fees vary, but all include spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccinations and deworming, rabies vaccine at the time of spay or neuter, and 30 days of pet insurance. We also cover hernia repair and cherry eye repair at the time of spay or neuter. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##885642##

Luna is an adult who still holds onto her puppy-like goofiness, making her the perfect companion for those who love a good laugh and a lively game of fetch. Story
My name is Kylie, and I’m a 6-year-old Australian Cattle Dog mix with a heart as big as my zoomies! I may look all cool and sophisticated with my black coat and silver fox accents, but deep down, I’m just a big ol’ lovebug who wants to be your number one sidekick. I’m a lady of many talents—like sniffing out the best smells on walks, rolling in the grass like it’s my personal spa day, and expressing myself with my adorable little grunts and groans (you’ll learn my language soon enough!). Oh, and if you need a mood booster, I specialize in emotional support cuddles! If I sense you’re feeling off, I’ll gently nudge you with my nose or give you a reassuring paw pat—because that’s just the kind of girl I am. I love my humans with all my heart and would be happiest as your one and only furry companion. Sharing love is great, but being the center of attention? Even better! I promise to be your most loyal, affectionate, and tail-waggingly happy friend if you give me the chance. I’m already house-trained, well-mannered, spayed, microchipped, and up to date on all my shots—basically, a total catch. If you’re looking for a best friend who will stick by your side through thick and thin, I think we might just be a perfect match. ##2348725##
