Story
Meet Teddy Teddy is one of those pups who just needs a little time for his true personality to shine—and when it does, it’s absolutely heart-melting. He’s incredibly sweet, gentle, and already making amazing progress in a home environment. Teddy is very shy and sensitive with new people right now. He’s still learning that human interaction is safe, so he doesn’t seek out pets just yet and may need a little extra time to feel comfortable. He would do best in a patient, understanding home that will let him build trust at his own pace. As he settles in, he’s already showing how sweet and gentle he truly is, and he continues to make progress every day. Despite being a little unsure, Teddy is: * Highly food motivated – he takes treats gently and responds incredibly well to positive reinforcement * Making great progress with potty training – he goes outside most of the time * Loves his crate – it’s his safe space and he sleeps there comfortably (door open!) * Dog-friendly – doing great with his foster sibling * Cat-curious but respectful – easily redirected * Very gentle – no resource guarding and takes treats softly His foster has been taking things slow—letting Teddy come to her, rewarding brave choices, and never forcing interactions—and it’s paying off. In just a short time, he’s already started to: * Approach on his own * Relax and show playful energy * Even lay on his foster’s feet on the couch (!!) Teddy is still learning how to “dog”—how to play, interact, and feel safe—but you can see how badly he wants to connect. He’s curious, observant, and quietly brave. With time, patience, and continued positive reinforcement, he is absolutely going to blossom into an incredible companion. He would do best in a calm home with people who understand shy dogs and are committed to letting him move at his own pace. Teddy is a really, really good puppy—just a sensitive soul learning that the world is safe. Little Miss Coco is about four months old and has the cutest bat ears and underbite. She is an excellent cuddler, loves to be held, but is still independent. She loves to be rough and tumble with her foster siblings, but can be a little bit of a bully to smaller dogs. She is learning to walk on the leash. She knows her basic commands of sit and no. She's doing well with her potty training and will go into the crate without too much of a fuss. Coco is being fostered in Colorado Springs.  ##2646225##

Story
Bruce is a 1-year-old, sweet, goofy, high-energy dog who brings a lot of personality wherever he goes. He’s affectionate, curious, and still very much in that fun, playful stage of life.He would thrive in a home with a backyard and someone who enjoys an active lifestyle — long walks, hikes, or just getting outside regularly. He’s not a couch potato, he wants to be part of things. This isn’t a rushed decision. I care deeply about Bruce and want to find the right home for him — someone who has the time, space, and patience to give him the life he deserves. He has a lot of love to give, and I want to make sure it goes to the right person.

Story
Name: Carmella Breed: Border Collie Sex: Female Age: 2 year old Weight: 45 lbs. Carmella has some behavioral needs, and she's available for adoption or through a foster-to-adopt arrangement. Good with dogs? Carmella will need a slow introduction to other dogs Good with cats? No Good with kids? Not tested but based on her behavior with meeting new people we would recommend she go to a kid free home. Energy level: High. Carmella is a driven Border Collie with a strong need for mental stimulation. She would thrive in a home where she has a job to do—bonus points if her adopter is interested in helping her learn how to herd! With her high energy and working-dog instincts, Carmella would love nothing more than a purpose-filled life where she can stay active and engaged. Animal Characteristics: Carmella is a beautiful, sensitive soul searching for someone special to help her shine. This shy girl hasn’t had the easiest start, and she’s still learning to trust the world around her. When meeting new people, Carmella can be fearful— but with patience, structure, and love, she begins to open up. Her ideal home will be with an experienced, compassionate adopter committed to continuing her training and providing slow, gentle introductions to new people and situations. Carmella isn’t the kind of dog who will greet you with tail wags and kisses on day one — but if you give her time and understanding, you’ll earn the love of a truly loyal companion. Please learn more about the adoption process and fill out an application at www.pawsco.org/adopt/adoption-process. I look forward to meeting you!

Story
Dottie is officially turning one year old this month, and her biggest birthday wish is a patient heart and a playful pup in her forever home. At around 30 lbs, Dottie is the perfect "medium" size for adventures big and small. She is a sensitive soul who finds the big, loud world a little overwhelming at times, but her true personality shines brightest when she’s around other dogs and someone she trusts. Dottie requires a home with an established, confident, and playful dog sibling. She has a lot of puppy energy and loves to roughhouse; having a canine mentor will help her find her courage and gives her something to watch and follow. She still needs to learn how to be a confident girl! She is fully potty trained and goes in her kennel when told. She sleeps in her kennel and stays in there when we are gone. She does well on walks and is learning to be great on a leash. Shs has been trusted off leash before with a dependable, confident dog she trusts to follow. She is highly food motivated, which is the fastest way to win her trust and to teach her expectations. She’ll take treats gently from most people but enjoys being pet/ scratched only once she knows you’re safe. Dottie would be best in a "low-pressure" home. She needs a family that understands she won't be a lap-dog on day one or even day one hundred. She needs plenty of time to decompress and an understanding environment where she can learn alongside her dog sibling that new things aren't so scary.. If you would like to adopt/foster please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $250 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2518010##

Story
Rescue isn’t always soft ears and cute fluffy puppies. Sometimes rescue is a dog who has survived something she never should have had to.Meet Pepper. Pepper was very pregnant when she was found. A rancher roped her with a lariat, and when she panicked — because of course she did — the rope only tightened around her neck. The more she fought for air and safety, the worse it became. You can picture the fear. The confusion. The sheer desperation of a mother about to give birth, dragged and restrained. That memory didn’t just disappear when she was rescued. Pepper still has an aversion to leashes and hands reaching toward her collar. We’ve had her about a month, and only now is she beginning to be comfortable with a leash being clipped on. She is not yet walking on leash yet. Not because she’s stubborn. Because trauma leaves marks you can’t see. Pepper needs more than an adopter. She needs an angel. Despite everything, Pepper is gentle. She is tender. She is trying. She watches quietly from her cozy hideaway, taking it all in. She doesn’t rush. She doesn’t demand. But when she decides you are safe? It’s sacred. She comes when called. She tiptoes over for affection. She curls into you on the couch like she’s been waiting her whole life to exhale. Her love is not loud. It’s earned. And when you earn it, it feels like the greatest gift in the world. Crates are too much for her right now. Confinement reminds her of fear. She deserves space, softness, choice. With other dogs? She’s different. Light. Silly. Spunky. She currently lives with a male Hound mix and adores him — they nap together, play together, move through the house side by side. She previously lived peacefully with four adult dogs of all sizes. Other dogs bring out the version of Pepper that we know and love. She's relaxed, joyful, playful. With new people, she is still shy. Careful .Pepper is intelligent. She wants to learn. You can see her thinking through her fear. With patience, gentle encouragement, and especially a confident canine companion to show her the ropes, she will continue to blossom. Slowly. Beautifully. Pepper is looking for: A patient, deeply kind adopter A home with another friendly, confident dog Someone who understands that healing isn’t linear A family who sees the beauty in sensitive souls This is not a “plug and play” dog. Pepper will not march into your life on a leash with instant confidence. But if you have ever wanted to be someone’s safe place — the one they choose, the one they trust, the one who rewrites their story — Pepper is waiting. She survived. She protected her babies. She is still here. Now she just needs someone who will never tighten the rope again. About Pepper:• Approximately 2 years old• 37 pounds — the perfect in-between size• House mannered and respectful in the home• Dog-friendly and happiest with a canine companion Pepper needs someone to believe in her.   YOU CAN SEE MORE PICS & VIDEOS ON OUR WEBSITE: https://www.circle2rescue.com/available-pets/  Petfinder limits the number of pics & videos. Story
Meet Toast Just one look at that adorable little face and you know—this girl is something special. That sparkle in her eyes? It’s all love. And when you take her picture? She gives you the cutest little smile, like she’s trying to show you just how much she loves you At around 2 years old and a petite 30 lbs, Toast is the perfect “just right” size—big enough for adventures, small enough to fit perfectly curled up next to you on the couch. Being a rez dog, we think she’s got some Australian Cattle Dog in the mix (plus a little mystery ), which means she’s not just cute—she’s smart, loyal, and tuned into her people. Toast recently lost her home when her mom could not longer keep her, and while that could shake some dogs… not this girl. She’s taken it all in stride with quiet confidence and a gentle heart. At her temporary foster home, she’s living with four other dogs and handled introductions like a total pro—calm, respectful, and completely unbothered. She’s got lovely leash manners, sticks close to her humans, and has that “check-in with you” kind of personality that makes her such an easy, enjoyable companion. Basically? She’s the kind of dog who just gets it. Sweet and affectionate Dog-friendly and well-mannered Smart and attentive Your future little shadow Toast is currently with a temporary foster, but she’s hoping to find a Colorado foster (or better yet—her forever home!) very soon If you’ve been looking for a loyal little sidekick with a heart of gold… Toast might just be your girl If you would like to adopt please apply at https://www.circle2rescue.com/dog-adoption-application/  The adoption fee of $300 includes the spay/neuter, vaccinations, deworming and microchip.   ##2711672##
