Story

Robin was originally adopted from Rover Rescue after being there a short time. He is around 6 years old. He likes to be close to his humans when possible. He naps most of the time and can be playful here and there. He likes long walks and a nap after. He was adopted in 2021 while both of us worked from home. We have since switched and are required in office more and that has lead to some separation anxiety. We’d like to see Robin thrive in a home that is more suited for his needs at this point. He would do great with a family where someone is home with him or a retired couple. He has some anxiety medications to help for his general anxiety.

Meet Audie! He was guessed to have been born in December 2023. He hasn't had the best start in life, but you would never know. This resilient soul was found on the side of the road in Texas- severely injured at only a few weeks old. Alone and in pain. It is suspected Audie was hit by a car and sustained multiple fractures to his pelvis and his femurs. Audie had a severe right femur fracture surgically repaired and a subsequent tibia fracture and he is getting around wonderfully! There is a possibility down the line that he may need a FHO surgery on his left side, but the orthopedic vet says it all depends on if he seems to be in discomfort - and so far you wouldn't know anything was every wrong with him. Potential adopters will need to understand and agree to take on that responsibility. We did a DNA test on him and he is 51% Boston Terrier, 43% Schnauzer, and 6% Poodle. He is estimated to be about 20 lbs full grown. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids, but due to his previous injuries he needs to be in a relatively quiet and calm household to prevent re-injury. He will need training from scratch, but he has a good handle on crate training. Audie's adoption donation of $495 helps to cover the cost of his medical care (well in excess of $2500). SPECIAL NEEDS: Partially blind due to Glaucoma . This special girl is Ellie, a senior Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix, who weighs around 9-10 pounds. Ellis is around 10 years old; she is very loving and is an absolute sweetheart. Ellie lives in a foster home with a couple smaller dogs and two large dogs. Her foster mom considers Ellie to be a “low maintenance” dog. She is a homebody because she does not like going for walks or going on adventures. She enjoys the opportunity to be in the yard so she can walk around and sniff out the critters. Ellie really loves her foster mom and the young teen kids in the home so she will seek out time for some belly rubs and pets. Because Ellie is frightened of most adult men we are seeking to place her into a female household. Ellie is comfortable living with other small to medium sized dogs but isn’t into playing with them; she prefers napping and hanging out. While in foster care, Ellie was diagnosed with Glaucoma and lost sight in one of her eyes; she receives daily eye drops for the condition. The medication has worked well and the eye pressure has been in the normal range for over three months now. Ellie has been examined by licensed veterinarians, been provided vaccines, been dewormed, tested for diseases, spayed, and microchipped. Despite her small size, her personality is larger than life! She is incredibly lovable.She's faced challenges in life that have made her a bit cautious around new people and places. But once she gets to know you, her affection and enthusiasm know no bounds! This girl is worth cracking that shy exterior and she will bring your home so much joy. On walks, Bailey is a little timid, but with patience and routine, she's busting out of her shell! She now is a little too focused on squirrels, but is not having any issues passing other dogs.Bailey has a former fracture in her rear hind leg, likely from being struck by a vehicle. The fracture is old, and the leg has healed around the injury in a way that prevents full extension of her rear limb. On occasion, she will favor the leg and limp. Her mobility is not significantly restricted by the old injury. Her current fosters and CCR are supporting her long term mobility with physical therapy sessions at MedVet and Librela injections.Bailey attends the senior group of a doggy daycare once a week! The staff there says she is very sweet. She likes to coexist and play a bit, but she prefers some space when she's resting and sleeping. In her current foster home, she spends some alone time in a puppy pen to get the space she needs from the second dog in the home. She is also potty trained and can be left out alone without chewing or soiling! Bailey is content to lay by your feet while you work from home, and she can entertain herself.
