Story
One month ago we found this lost or escaped super cute dog that showed up at our back door on a very cold night and we currently keep him in our apartment. He is a young, well behaved and groomed black dog (pug or chug) and has no microchip (confirmed at vet clinic). We tried to find the owner via social media and posters - no results. We tried the animal control, they told us that this kind of dog will likely be adopted but no guarantees that he won't be killed, so we did not want to take the risk. We decided to foster until he finds a more suitable home (our apartment is small and we have small kids). He is always extremely calm and cuddly with us at home, but sometimes barks at other dogs on the street. There are no health issues that we observed. We regularly give him baths and external parasite drops, but we could not find help from the city organisations yet with vet controls/shots. He was toilet trained when we found him and very quickly adapted to a 3 times/day schedule.

Winston is living in a foster home fill out a quick adoption survey to learn more and schedule an intro. Winston is: Neutered: Yes! Up to date on vaccines: Yes! Microchipped: Yes! Our microchips will automatically register when an adoption is finalized Housebroken: yes Leash walking: will sometimes bark at other dogs if they get too close! Dog social: Yes, but would prefer to be an only pup for now. Cat social: Unknown Kid friendly: likely not a match for little ones. Winston is the goofiest guy in town! He is a velcro pup who loves to play fetch and then settle down for a good nap on the couch. He can get a little nervous around young kids, so we'd recommend older children and adults for him. Winston has had some success with visits from other dog friends, but would like to be the only dog in his home. He loves to speak his mind on walks, and can be vocal when he sees other dogs on the street. He is a lover with people, and gives out kisses to anyone who will let him! Winston's adoption fee is $300, and this lovely pup is so excited to join a family!

Story
Sam is a sweet pug looking for an experienced patient family that speaks 'dog'. Sam is a breeder release from a commercial facility. He hasn't had the benefit a dog his age might have who was born in a home. That being said, while he is scared and timid, once he feels safe he is longing to bond with a family. He will likely always be timid. He needs family who will help him slowly decompress and adjust in his own time. Sam s a friendly gentle guy He needs a fenced in yard for his potty place. He doesn't understand leash walking. Pugs tend to be Velcro dogs. They want to be close to a human, Sam is friendly, wags his tail and then retreats, He wants to be cared for, He needs to relax enough to know he can move forward without fear, He needs a patient adopter without expectations he will change but will give him the time to allow him to if he chooses, Like all dogs, he will need structure and a patient, loving home. We recommend training for all dogs, not only to give Sam important learning skills, but because you and your dog will create a stronger bond just by going through the training together. Sam is fully vetted. She has been neutered, received age-appropriate vaccines, and is microchipped. Subsequent vaccines will be at the expense of his adopter. His adoption fee is $800..00. He is on the hunt for his own completely committed family. Little dogs can live to be 20+ years old, so Sam wants to be sure his family is all in for better or for worse! IF INTERESTED IN A PUPPY (UNDER 12 MONTHS): You must have a flexible work schedule or someone home all day. Puppies need to be let out to potty often. They need socialization, bonding, and training (housetraining and behavioral training). If you work long hours, have a busy social schedule, or are not financially secure, then a puppy is not for you. We adopt in the local Chicago metro area. We require home visits.
