Meet Audie! He was guessed to have been born in December 2023. He hasn't had the best start in life, but you would never know. This resilient soul was found on the side of the road in Texas- severely injured at only a few weeks old. Alone and in pain. It is suspected Audie was hit by a car and sustained multiple fractures to his pelvis and his femurs. Audie had a severe right femur fracture surgically repaired and a subsequent tibia fracture and he is getting around wonderfully! There is a possibility down the line that he may need a FHO surgery on his left side, but the orthopedic vet says it all depends on if he seems to be in discomfort - and so far you wouldn't know anything was every wrong with him. Potential adopters will need to understand and agree to take on that responsibility. We did a DNA test on him and he is 51% Boston Terrier, 43% Schnauzer, and 6% Poodle. He is estimated to be about 20 lbs full grown. He gets along with other dogs, cats, and kids, but due to his previous injuries he needs to be in a relatively quiet and calm household to prevent re-injury. He will need training from scratch, but he has a good handle on crate training. Audie's adoption donation of $495 helps to cover the cost of his medical care (well in excess of $2500). SPECIAL NEEDS: Partially blind due to Glaucoma . This special girl is Ellie, a senior Boston Terrier/Chihuahua mix, who weighs around 9-10 pounds. Ellis is around 10 years old; she is very loving and is an absolute sweetheart. Ellie lives in a foster home with a couple smaller dogs and two large dogs. Her foster mom considers Ellie to be a “low maintenance” dog. She is a homebody because she does not like going for walks or going on adventures. She enjoys the opportunity to be in the yard so she can walk around and sniff out the critters. Ellie really loves her foster mom and the young teen kids in the home so she will seek out time for some belly rubs and pets. Because Ellie is frightened of most adult men we are seeking to place her into a female household. Ellie is comfortable living with other small to medium sized dogs but isn’t into playing with them; she prefers napping and hanging out. While in foster care, Ellie was diagnosed with Glaucoma and lost sight in one of her eyes; she receives daily eye drops for the condition. The medication has worked well and the eye pressure has been in the normal range for over three months now. Ellie has been examined by licensed veterinarians, been provided vaccines, been dewormed, tested for diseases, spayed, and microchipped. Robin was originally adopted from Rover Rescue after being there a short time. He is around 6 years old. He likes to be close to his humans when possible. He naps most of the time and can be playful here and there. He likes long walks and a nap after. He was adopted in 2021 while both of us worked from home. We have since switched and are required in office more and that has lead to some separation anxiety. We’d like to see Robin thrive in a home that is more suited for his needs at this point. He would do great with a family where someone is home with him or a retired couple. He has some anxiety medications to help for his general anxiety.

This mature guy still gets the zoomies while playing with his foster sister or while playing catch with his ball. Fred's sweet face matches his sweet natured demeanor. He would do well in home with children. Fred is a gentle soul who loves to cuddle and snuggle and just be close to you. Fred's foster family said they are working on teaching Fred how to be in a family. He is currently learning how to go potty outside 100% of the time and taking walks on a leash. Both of which are challenges for Fred. Because of this, Fred will need a family who has lots of patience with him as he learns the ropes is life on the outside. He is crate trained and is very comfortable in a crate sleeping at night as well as while his foster family is away from home. Schedule a meet with Fred today!

Charlotte came to the rescue with a broken leg and was pregnant. She was likely hit by a car as her uterus had ruptured and had to be spayed immediately. She has come very far with me in the short time she has been here so I know she will only gain more trust as time goes on. Zelda’s littermate had a DNA test run and guess what they came back as? Pug/Malinois! She’s tall and thin, easy to train, does not have the typical Pug breathing issues - instead the cutesy underbite and unique eyes. She’s doing good with house training but yes needs a little more work. She loves toys, dogs and if a kid is playing with a ball she want to join in.
