Meet Andy, an 11-month-old male Boston Terrier mix who is on the hunt for his forever family. Andy is a young pup with a big personality and an even bigger heart. While we are still getting to know him, he has already shown us that he is incredibly sweet, loving, and playful. He enjoys spending time with his people and has the happy, energetic spirit you’d expect from a young dog. Andy is currently doing well with both potty training and crate training and continues to make great progress each day. He weighs about 20 lbs and isn’t expected to grow much more, making him a great medium-sized companion. Andy is ready to find a family that will continue helping him learn, grow, and be the wonderful dog we know he will be. Sweet, gentle 35-lb young dog learning how wonderful family life can be. Mariah is just over a year old and was found with her siblings on a farm in rural Virginia. Because she grew up as a rural stray, everyday household life is still new to her—stairs, vacuum cleaners, and busy homes are things she’s only beginning to experience. The lovely thing about Mariah is that she isn’t fearful—she just hasn’t learned about these things yet. She’s an incredibly sweet, gentle, affectionate girl who truly loves people. Petting is still a little new to her, but she’s quickly learning that human attention is pretty wonderful. In foster care she’s already gaining confidence and relaxing more every day. Mariah is great with other dogs, has been around cats, and has been gentle with children thanks to her soft, submissive personality. A calm dog friend could help her continue building confidence. Before rescue, Mariah raised three puppies in a hay barn. All of her babies survived and have already found wonderful homes—now it’s Mariah’s turn. She doesn’t need a perfect home—just a kind one willing to show her how loved dogs live.
