Story
Introducing, Rooster! Rooster is 3 years old and 15 lbs. He was found as a stray and sadly no one came looking for him. Rooster has been spending time in an awesome foster home. His foster mom reports: "Rooster (who we lovingly call Roo or RooRoo- he is picking up on his name) is a chi-mix through and through. Roo completely bonds with his owner and is ready for his forever person to cuddle with, play with, and protect. He is a feisty little guy with other dogs out and about and takes a while to warm up to new people, but once he decides you are his person, he will be by your side (or on your lap) as often as possible. I’ve had the privilege of being his temporary chosen person and he has given me so much love in return. He sits on my lap all day while I work, with some potty and play breaks of course. Roo is house-trained, and benefits from a consistent walk schedule. He would love to come with you to work or work from home with you! He does well with my dog and cats, even when his jealousy comes out and he places himself right in between me and them. He takes a bit to warm up and trust other creatures/humans, but if you give him the time, you will have a forever best friend." Interested in learning more about Rooster? Otey is such a deserving little guy. He lost his human and is very sad. He is thriving though in his foster home but he keeps looking up at you saying when can I have a family of my own. This sweetheart is affectionate, intelligent, extremely loyal and would make the best family pet ever. He's very healthy, and ready to go to a new home text 276494-6718

Story
Gigi is a loving, affectionate, and often cuddly dog who wants nothing more than to snuggle next to you all curled up in a ball and to be where you are at all times. She will thrive with a person or family who can give her a bit of room to roam, regular long walks, and attention. Gigi is so calm in her snuggly state that she has even sat in a ball up on someone’s desk, and a recliner or couch or bed or floor are all equally fine to her. Gigi does well with older children, say 6 and older. She has allowed herself to be dressed up to play with them. When around other dogs or outside she is an active explorer and can be very enthusiastic about where she wants to go (note: this translates to pulling that can be quite sudden or hard, so she should only be walked be someone experienced who can manage a sudden strong jerk on the leash.) Gigi has only occasionally made a play for food around the house, mostly when bored, though be aware that she is very capable of thrusting so strongly with her tiny legs that she can make it up to a dining room table! This only happened 1-2 times but I have to share so no one loses their dinner unaware! She can also be an excellent guard dog as she is alert to noises outside and will bark back accordingly; as a result she would probably do better in a neighborhood or community with some space for quiet. We're still evaluating her around cats. Gender: Spayed Female Approx. DOB:  8/9/2017 Weight: about 20 poundsPLEASE NOTE:  we only adopt to residents of the DC metro area, which includes DC, Prince Georges and Montgomery Counties in MD, and Arlington, Fairfax, Prince William, and Loudoun Counties in VA. Story
• Rescue Story: Meet Moana👋🏻 She was found wandering the streets of Paju, South Korea in 2022. She ended up at a high-kill shelter but was thankfully rescued just in time. For 4 years, she lived in a private shelter with many other dogs, and was recently moved into her foster home in July 2026. Thanks to her awesome personality, she's beautifully settled in and learned how to live with humans! Moana is now ready to find a forever family of her own! • Personality: Affectionate, Friendly, Goofy Moana is truly one of a kind. She quickly won the hearts of volunteers with her gentle, loving nature. She follows people around like a little shadow, happily greeting everyone—even strangers—with tail wags and affection. Moana thrives on human interaction and loves tug-of-war, belly rubs, and being the center of attention. Her energy level is moderate, making her a great balance of playful and calm. • Affinity with - Dogs: Moana is incredibly social—not just with people, but with dogs, too. She’s often the first to welcome new arrivals at the shelter, helping them feel safe and at ease. While she would thrive as the only dog in the home, Moana also does best with calm dog companions. - Cats: Not tested with cats - Adults/Kids: Great with adults / She hasn’t been tested with cats or kids, but based on her gentle demeanor, we believe she’d do well with respectful children. • Walking Manners: Moana has also started practicing her leash skills and is doing great! She may pull a little at times, but overall, she walks well and is eager to please. • Housetrained: Since she moved to her foster home, Moana's started going potty outdoors with no accidents! Fully housebroken! • Bathing/Brushing: She’s tolerant of baths and grooming. • Car Sickness: She’s curious and alert during car rides, taking in the world around her. • Separation Anxiety: Zero. • Barks/Howls: Very quiet • Appetite/Food Allergies: Eats well. No food allergies found so far. • Shedding level (1~10): 5 • Likes/Dislikes: She loves affection and treats! • Health: Moana finished her heartworm treatment in Oct 2024 and is in great health. 💙 Adoption Fee Information The adoption fee already includes all major expenses, such as: International transportation, Customs and export documentation, Medical care (spay surgery, vaccinations, health certificate, deworming, etc.) For this reason, we kindly ask that you refrain from requesting a breakdown or negotiation of the adoption fee. Story
Meet Baby Baby is a lovable, 5-year-old dog with a gentle spirit and a heart full of love to give. Sadly, her owner recently passed away, and she is now looking for a new family to give her the love and security she deserves. Baby is a little overweight, but that only adds to her adorable charm. She’s easy to care for and enjoys a relaxed lifestyle. Instead of long walks, she prefers to waddle around the backyard, exploring at her own pace. She’s a quiet, well-mannered companion who is happiest simply being near the people she loves. Her favorite thing in the world? Belly rubs! A few gentle scratches and plenty of affection will quickly win her heart.
