After losing her elderly owner, Pearl was transferred to American Boston Terrier Rescue & Rehabilitation (ABTRR) from another rescue due to significant behavioral challenges. She was anxious, aggressive toward other dogs, and obsessively hoarded toys—behaviors rooted in fear and uncertainty. But Pearl’s story didn’t end there. Thanks to the unwavering patience, training, and love of her ABTRR foster family, Pearl has blossomed into a completely different dog. She’s learned boundaries, built trust, and now enjoys the company of other dogs. Her anxiety has eased, and her playful spirit shines through—especially when she’s swimming, one of her favorite activities. Pearl also loves car rides and has become a joyful, loyal companion. Good with dog savvy children (recommended 8+), ok with cats, good with other dogs when introduced properly She’s currently being fostered in Tulsa, OK. He was heartworm positive when he arrived, but he has been treated and recently tested negative, so he's finally available for adoption! He can be a bit testy with other male dogs, so a meet & greet will be required. He is also a rough-and-tumble boy who plays hard, so if there are other dogs in the home, it's important that they be able to keep up. Because his excitement can get the best of him, he’s looking for a home without young children, as his rambunctious bursts of joy may be overwhelming for little ones. He’ll benefit from consistent, gentle boundary training to help him manage his low excitement threshold and occasional dominant tendencies. Leo & Other Dogs Leo needs time to decompress and settle into his new environment before meeting any resident pets. That adjustment period is critical for him. While he previously lived with other Bostons and Frenchies and reportedly did well, he has shown some dominant behaviors since coming into rescue. That said, with consistent training and clear direction, we believe he absolutely could adjust to living with other dogs. (He has done extremely well with the resident male and female Bostons in his foster home, which is a direct result of the slow, structured, intentional introductions mentioned above.) â¤ï¸ His Softer Side While Leo is full of energy and excitement, he also has a wonderfully sweet, affectionate side. Once he’s finally tired out and his brain has quieted, he loves nothing more than snuggling up for a good cuddle. Those cozy moments are where his gentle heart really shines. Winston is a 5 year old pug, who is one of the most loving and attention giving dogs I’ve ever known. He is full of energy and is always the center of attention. He’s been a joy to know and love for the past 4 years. He unfortunately has become extremely jealous of our new 15 month old, and has decided that it’s his job to pee on everything our 15 month old touches. He never has accidents in the house unless it’s that. He completely non-aggressive and just loves to play and lay around. He is healthy, loving, and ready to make your lives better just like he did ours.

This boy is such a sweetie pie. I found him starving and scared, much love and special feedings went into getting him healthy again. I have 2 dogs of my own and he is good with them. I have a ton of kids and he is great with them as well. He is spunky and really in need of attention. I can tell he has been hit a lot when I go to love on him and he cowers, it breaks my heart. He needs a patient and loving home. He is not neutered or potty trained, so someone who can either be home and train him or afford a trainer is NEEDED. I don't have the recourses as a single mom. PLEASE love this baby.
