Story
Emmi joined Rescue Row in November 2020 after a breeder decided they no longer had a use for her. Just two months later, she was adopted and began life with her family.
Sadly, Emmi was returned to Rescue Row three weeks ago after the circumstances within her previous home changed, and her family was no longer able to care for her.
Over the past three weeks, we have been getting to know Emmi again, and her foster mom reports that she is a wonderful girl! She is calm, quiet, affectionate, house trained, and incredibly well-mannered. She walks beautifully on a leash, rides well in the car, loves her toys and treats, and is happiest snuggled up next to her people.
Emmi would be great as an only dog. She was dog friendly when initially with RR six years ago, but she has not been around other dogs since then and is currently in a foster home as an only dog. We are unsure of how she is with other dogs at this time, but she would likely do well with another calm and easygoing canine friend. Now 11 years old, Emmi is looking for a quiet home without children where she can enjoy her golden years. Dogs 12 weeks-6 months old: $300 adoption fee
Dogs 7 months and older: $275 adoption fee
Rescue Row is a 501(c)3 (non-profit) all volunteer dog rescue organization serving the DFW Metroplex. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
