Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out ! ****COURTESY POST**** ACE is a male Boxer Mix, rescued, trained and ready for adoption or foster today!&#226&#157&#164&#239&#184&#143 Ace is a 2-year-old dog who originally came from Next Door. His previous family decided to give him up because he is absolutely obsessed with his ball and tends to guard his toys. While this might sound a bit quirky, it’s just part of who he is! Ace has completed 4 weeks of training, which has helped him develop better manners, but due to his strong attachment to his ball, he would be best suited as the only dog in the home. When he gets his ball, he really gets “kookoo for cocoa puffs!” Despite his intense love for his toys, Ace is friendly with other dogs and enjoys being around people, especially kids who are respectful of his space. He still has a lot of puppy energy, so he loves to play, go on walks, and stay active. Ace was initially posted on Next Door before being surrendered to a shelter. Luckily, he was rescued just in time, saved from being euthanized on his scheduled date. Ace is an affectionate, happy little guy with a lot of love to give. He just needs someone who understands his quirks and is ready to give him the attention and care he deserves. If you’re looking for a fun, energetic, and loving companion, Ace could be the perfect fit! Around 1-2years old Ace is a medium energy level dog. He Will lay down and relax and chew on a bone or sleep peacefully in his crate. He loves walks, he’s toy and food motivated. He knows the following commands: sit, down, wait, stay and look pawetty. He is potty and crate trained. Ace can walk well on a leash. He can heel and halt! Trained by @valkyriesofvalor_k9s Ace is ready for adoption!!! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Check Me out ! Meet Duchess!  She has endured a challenging past, having spent her early years confined in a crate. At just 14, her family made the difficult decision to surrender her to our rescue, allowing her to receive the medical care she desperately needed. Now, she has reached a healthy weight and is enjoying the outdoors, which brings her immense joy. Although she experiences some vision and hearing loss, Duchess is a sweet dog who longs for a loving family to provide her with a warm and happy home in her golden years. Thought to be a boxer mix, she is house trained and walks well on a leash for her age. A home with a yard where she can explore freely would be ideal for her. She does well with other dogs (preferably docile females) and is great with kids and people. Could you be the one to offer this lovely senior girl the forever home she deserves? She is apart of our Amazing Gray program where her medical is covered for life, and has a reduced adoption fee.  If interested in meeting Duchess, please click HERE to apply!  If interested in being her forever foster, please click HERE to apply!  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.September 24, 2025, 12:36 pm

Story
How this pet arrived: This pet was brought in by a community member on July 20, 2025. Why this pet is the one for you:Meet Rufus, a gentle pup with a sweet-as-pie soul and a heart full of love! He can be a bit shy with new faces, but once he gets to know you, he will reward you with loyal companionship and wiggly affection. Rufus loves to go for walks and has wonderful leash manners! He enjoys taking things a little slower, stopping to smell the roses - and the rocks and the grass and anything else he finds. Rufus is one smart cookie and is more than happy to show you how he can "sit" and "shake" for a treat. Rufus doesn't seem to mind seeing other dogs on walks, but doesn't have a known history of living with other canines. He will however need to go to a home without cats or small pets. If you're ready to welcome a goofy, playful, loving friend into your home, look no further than sweet Rufus! At SDHS:This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home! Primary Color: Brown Secondary Color: White Weight: 76.5 Age: 6yrs 3mths 4wks

Story
Enzo is a tender, affectionate and friendly boy but also shy. Calm and submissive temperament. He gets along perfectly with other dogs, cats and even children of all ages. Enzo is a low-activity dog who prefers to spend his time sleeping or just lying down. It is the ideal companion to spend long moments of peace. It is not noisy; He barks little and does not howl. He may be shy at first but once he gains confidence you will meet a very sweet dog who will follow you everywhere. He loves eating treats, taking naps in the sun, taking quiet walks, and cuddling with each other. It is not destructive or bite things. You can put clothes on him or leave him with a harness without problem. He knows how to sit, wait for his food and walk on a leash. He has experience living with other dogs of different ages and sizes, both females and males, and with cats. The $350.00 adoption fee covers the following: Transport to San Diego, CA. Spay/Neuter. All vaccines up to date. Deworming (puppies 2 sets). Flea medication up to date. Tick control up to date. Microchip. Microchip registration to new owner paid for. Collar. Temporary leash.
