Story
Flaco is a rescue from Baja California. He was a street dog who suffered some head wounds in an apparent dog fight. He's been to the vet, had all his vaccines, got neutered, his cuts are healing and is looking for a family to love him. He's a big, beautiful, brindle. The vets guess his age is around three or four. He's 60 lbs now, but still adding on some weight. He looks like a boxer mixed with a lab, and has a calm, affectionate demeanor. He is a velcro dog. He wants to be with his human and will drop his big ol' head in your lap any chance he gets. He is very friendly with dogs and people, not tested with kids or cats. I have two smaller, hyper dogs and he has been completely tolerant of them. He will do well in either a home with other dogs or as an only dog where he gets all of the attention for himself. He walks slowly and loosely on a leash, but if he sees something he's interested in - hang on - he can pull like a freight train when he gets excited. Pick Flaco!

Story
Meet Selena Selena is a one-year-old female boxer–pug mix with a sweet, soulful face and a whole lot of love to give. She’s energetic and playful, can jump, and enjoys being active — but she’s also a total snuggler, who thrives on affection and closeness. Hugs are definitely her love language. Selena gets along well with other dogs and is used to being around them. She has been with the same family her entire life, so this transition is a big change for her, but she’s handling it with gentle curiosity and trust. She is up to date on all her shots and would do best in a home where she gets attention, companionship, and lots of cuddles. Selena is the kind of dog who bonds deeply and just wants to be someone’s constant little sidekick. If you’re looking for a loving, affectionate, people-oriented pup who will happily curl up next to you after playtime, Selena is your girl." *Selena will be spayed with her adoption. * Please copy & past the link below into your browser for our application: https://www.jotform.com/form/243374218477059 Questions? Story
How this pet arrived: Shay was brought in by a community member on October 28, 2025. Why Shay might be the one for you:Meet Shay Natalia Gee, a sweet and energetic dog in search of a loving new home! Shay keeps herself quietly occupied with toys and naps in her kennel. Outside her kennel, she can get excited and jumpy, but calms down with the help of some tasty treats and guidance. She will thrive with lots of exercise and enrichment to use up some of her natural energy before she settles in for pets and snuggles. Due to her excitable nature, Shay is looking for a home without young children (under 6) and where she can be the only pet. She is a smart cookie, making positive reinforcement training a breeze. A consistent routine and fun, engaging activities will help Shay get used to her new home and feel like part of her new family! Come ask about adopting her today. At SDHS: Shay has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed. Shay is now ready for her new home! Primary Color: Brindle Weight: 49 Age: 5yrs 2mths 2wks
