Story
Meet Rocky this lovely Boxer/Pit Mix who was found in the desert emaciated beyond belief. His current Foster mommy has been Gr8 & all vaccines, bloodwork, and neutering has been done. He is gentle, loves his walks, loves to talk, house trained & a good eater. He is protective of his home & foster mommy & is super smart. Pulls a teeny bit on walks as he gets drawn towards other dogs. Preferred home would be with someone who knows the breed; he tends to get nervous when his personal space is invaded & tends to resource guard/protect his human. Story
Not every dog is high-energy, needy, or nonstop chaos. Some dogs are sunshine naps, quiet companionship, and a warm little body curled up next to you. This is one of those dogs. ‘Annie’ is an amazing companion for someone looking for a calm, affectionate, loyal little sidekick. This sweet girl is the definition of easygoing. She's gentle, quiet, loving, and grateful for every bit of kindness she receives and is a total snuggle bug. At approximately 25–30 pounds and around 3 years old, this Boston Terrier/Boxer mix is the perfect size. She gets along beautifully with people and other dogs, has lovely manners, and carries herself with a soft, peaceful, slow energy. One of her favorite things to do is take herself outside to sit in the sunshine and enjoy the day. She is now spayed, fully vaccinated, microchipped, crate trained, and sleeps quietly through the night. Truly, she's the perfect low-key companion. After being abandoned and left chained to a park bench with her puppies, it's finally her turn to be cared for, spoiled, and cherished. If you've been looking for a loyal companion who asks for very little but gives so much love in return - she’s your girl.

Photo of Daisy

Daisy

American Pit Bull Terrier Terrier (Unknown Type, Medium)

Female, Young
Santee, CA
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Daisy is almost 2 years old and is a very happy and energetic girl. She loves people and is very curious. She hasn't had a lot of time around kids, but she has been fine with them when she was with them. She loves the dog park, but would rather be with the humans than the other dogs. She is not aggressive; she just loves attention from people. We got Daisy from the Humane Society of San Diego when she was about 8 weeks old. She had a severe head injury when she was only about 2 weeks old, and she has some neurological effects from that injury. Her front legs are a little uncoordinated and not as strong as her back legs, so jumping up onto things can be difficult for her. She goes upstairs just fine, but she needs to take her time going back down. Her condition does not slow her down or impede her at all; she loves to play and run around! She does stumble a lot, but she has adapted wonderfully. Daisy needs a home where she can get a lot of time and attention from her humans.
