Looks like: Boxer Male, 4 years old (estimated), 60 pounds Meet Bruno, the sweetest and goofiest boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality! Bruno is a young, strong, energetic guy who is happiest when he's playing, exploring, and spending time with his people. He absolutely LOVES toys, especially the ones that squeak! He's sure to keep his future family entertained with his playful antics. Bruno can be a wonderful companion, but sharing a home with another dog, he's become increasingly uncomfortable sharing his space and meeting dogs when he's on leash. For this reason, we're looking for a solo-dog home where he can be his family's one and only pup. We think having his people all to himself will be a wonderful thing for this guy! Bruno is a strong and energetic dog who would love an active family ready to give him plenty of exercise, enrichment, and fun. He's the kind of dog who will happily join you for adventures and then settle in for some quality time with his favorite people afterward. Bruno has had a rough stretch recently, and we're so ready to see him get the fresh start he deserves. His ideal home will be one that understands his need for some space from other dogs and is willing to help him feel confident and successful on walks. In return, you'll get a goofy, affectionate, playful companion who will make you laugh, keep you moving, and love being your one-and-only. Bruno joined POMDR after his loving guardian sadly and unexpectedly passed away. He was adopted for a short while but he was living with another dog which did not go as hoped. My mother is in late stage Dementia and can no longer take care of Molly. She is a mixed breed Boxer 9 years old. She is good with most all dogs but on a rare occasion is a bit skittish. She is super sweet. I wish I could take her but the house that I rent does not except dogs so unfortunately we have to find a new home for Molly. She likes walks and being outside. Lovey Dovey lives up to her name and is looking for a forever home with a cozy lap to snuggle. She has been living happily in a foster home with a resident senior dog and two adult humans:“Dovey brings lots of joy and laughter into our home with her sweet nature and goofy personality. She starts each day giving our dog kisses and greets us with beautiful songs, hugs and more kisses. We work full time and shes fine being left alone to roam free in the house. At the end of the day she welcomes us back with more jubilance and at night becomes the dog equivalent of a weighted blanket cuddling on the couch. She does great on car rides and is potty trained via walks and yard breaks. She gets excited for walks and is very strong on leash with a drive towards squirrels. She gets amped about fetch and destroying stuffies so sometimes we need to help her set limits. Though she’s a lively 11, she does enjoy her senior moments too like an afternoon snooze in a dog bed or sun bathing in the yard. Dovey was restless in the shelter kennel and does not like to be contained in kennels, behind baby gates, or behind closed bedroom doors. Although clients can walk through and see any animals in their kennels during open hours, we end “meet and greets” (aka meeting an animal out of the kennel) at 4:30pm every day. If you’d like to meet an animal out of the kennel, please arrive before 4:00pm to allow for time to discuss individual animals and meet them.

Hank was adopted from the humane society of silicon valley as a 10-week puppy and is now 6 years old. Hank is goofy and playful and enjoys learning new tricks. He enjoys howling along with sirens as they pass by. However, he is reactive around other dogs (he was attacked by off leash dogs on two occasions) and has become increasingly guarding of his food against our cats (no issues with humans) and it's no longer safe to have him in our house. Ideally he would be an "only dog" in a cat- and child-free home.

Ghost was a gift from my husband about 8 years ago we pick him up from a family of 12 he was the first little puppy to catch my eye, from the beginning my husband and myself felt in love with him. About 4 years ago he got tetanus he almost died we took him to the vet and took care of him every single day he is a sweetheart loving and most importantly it’s really hard for him to share his owner he has always been the only pet of our family we love him deeply he represents a special period of our lives my husband and I would appreciate it if whoever decides to adopt him gives him time, love and cares for him like if it was us please take in mind he is potty trained he only does his needs outside and he eats three meals a day he loves walks and hanging out at the beach. We recommend that Ghost gets adopted by a family that does not have any other pets he gets jealous and does not like other animals around him we also suggest you don’t have small kids around him.
