Story
Hello, I'm KORA, and if you're on the lookout for a lovable, active, and super-smart gal who can be your workout partner and couch warmer all in one, then your search ends here! I had a ruff start – rescued from a kill shelter, emaciated and pregnant. But, that's all in the past now, and all I want is a bright future filled with love. As a young adult pup, I'm seeking a family to call my own. I've discovered the joy of running around and playing in my foster home, and I know that's what I want in my forever home. I dream of a life without pain and sadness, and I believe the perfect family is out there for me. Some of my absolute favorite things include tennis balls, rubber balls – basically any ball! I'm super eager to learn and get along well with other dogs. My foster brother Rumpus is bigger than me, but he's gentle and has welcomed me into his family while I search for my own forever family. I'm all about love, and cuddling up with Rumpus or my foster family is the best feeling ever – it makes me feel so special. I would really like another dog to live with, I love my foster brother! Just one small thing – I have a high prey drive, so please, no kitties. They're just too tempting to chase. If you think you could be my forever person or family, head over to www.aarflove.org and complete an application. I'm hoping you are, and I promise you won't be disappointed!

Story
Looks like: Boxer Male, 4 years old (estimated), 60 pounds Meet Bruno, the sweetest and goofiest boy with a big heart and an even bigger personality! Bruno is a young, strong, energetic guy who is happiest when he's playing, exploring, and spending time with his people. He absolutely LOVES toys, especially the ones that squeak! He's sure to keep his future family entertained with his playful antics. Bruno can be a wonderful companion, but sharing a home with another dog, he's become increasingly uncomfortable sharing his space and meeting dogs when he's on leash. For this reason, we're looking for a solo-dog home where he can be his family's one and only pup. We think having his people all to himself will be a wonderful thing for this guy! Bruno is a strong and energetic dog who would love an active family ready to give him plenty of exercise, enrichment, and fun. He's the kind of dog who will happily join you for adventures and then settle in for some quality time with his favorite people afterward. Bruno has had a rough stretch recently, and we're so ready to see him get the fresh start he deserves. His ideal home will be one that understands his need for some space from other dogs and is willing to help him feel confident and successful on walks. In return, you'll get a goofy, affectionate, playful companion who will make you laugh, keep you moving, and love being your one-and-only. Bruno joined POMDR after his loving guardian sadly and unexpectedly passed away. He was adopted for a short while but he was living with another dog which did not go as hoped. He now finds himself looking to be the apple of his adopter's eye!

Story
* To be considered for a meet/adoption, please read the full biography to see whether they may be a good fit for your home, then submit an online application at www.dpsrescue.org.* This dog will be at the Palo Alto Pet Food Express on Saturday, August 29th from 12–3 PM (unless adopted prior to the event). All DPS Rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, flea/tick treated, and microchipped prior to adoption.   Adoption fee: $650   Meet Hi-C — A Refreshing Reason to Fall in Love Born in the shelter but raised in the safety of our rescue to adorable Mama Sunny D, a petite, low-rider Pittie mix, Hi-C has spent his entire life surrounded by love, good care, and plenty of opportunities to grow into a confident, happy pup. Now, at 13 weeks old and weighing somewhere around 25 pounds, he's ready to trade the nursery for a forever home. His days begin bright and early around 7 a.m. with a potty break outside before digging into his favorite Nulo puppy breakfast. Since growing puppies work up quite an appetite, he enjoys meals every 3–4 hours throughout the day before spending his time doing what puppies do best: playing, wrestling, exploring, collecting toys, greeting visitors, and occasionally crashing for an adorable nap. He spends his days roaming the barn with plenty of enrichment and has been raised alongside adult dogs and cats, making him a respectful housemate in the making. By about 9 p.m., he's happily tucked into bed after another adventure-filled day. Hi-C: Big Heart, Big Paws, Big Personality Hi-C is a sturdy little guy with a playful spirit and endless confidence — and every pound of him is sweetness. Whether he's chasing toys, exploring the barn, or making new human friends, Hi-C approaches everything with joy. He's quick to say hello when visitors arrive and loves being right in the middle of the action. If you're looking for a puppy who's equal parts goofy playmate and loyal best friend, Hi-C is ready for the job. Looking for a Little Refreshment? Like all young puppies, Hi-C will need a family committed to positive training, socialization, patience, and lots of love as he grows into a wonderful adult dog. In return, you'll get years of laughter, loyal companionship, and a best friend who's guaranteed to brighten every season — not just summer. August 25, 2026, 2:17 pm

Story
Jojo is being fostered in Illinois. Has some vision.Hi. My name is Jojo. I am a 4-year-old boxer mix. I like to think of myself as a playful happy-go-lucky gal. I may not see you well because close objects are like shadows and a little blurry to me, but I know you are there. I get along well with all the cats and dogs in my foster home. I like cats (see https://youtu.be/t_3b0r0n9LY ). But I may need slow introductions with little feisty dogs. But I would love to go to a home that has many friendly 4-legged buddies.I like to be active and meet people and other dogs (see https://youtu.be/9LG4Cy9_kJI ). However, I am not too good with children because a lot of time kids either approach me too fast or gather around me, which makes me so scared that I have to give a warning snap. But I do love my walks. Even more, I love an open field that I can have all to myself so I can let out a lot of my energy (see https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8nWkm8OssZU ). At home, I like to relax and sit at my spot while my foster daddy is doing his work. Everyday, I get to be petted and it makes me feel loved (see https://youtu.be/Y_-7FDicj-M ).I am housebroken. However, every once in a while, I have accidents because anxiety gets the best of me when I realize my foster dad has not been home for a while. I will do well in a home where someone is present 90-95 percent of time, perhaps with someone who works out of home or is an active retired person.Blind Dog Rescue has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.

Story
Meet LOGAN I'm Logan, a handsome 4-month-old Pittie mix looking for my forever family. I'm your typical puppy—I love to play, explore, learn new things, and then curl up for some cuddles when the day is done. I absolutely LOVE other dogs! Whether they're tiny pups or big playmates, I'm happiest making new friends and having fun. Because of that, I'd love a home with another playful dog to keep me company, but it's not a requirement if my family is home often and won't leave me alone for long periods. I'm also a smart little guy! I already know sit and I'm learning stay and down. I enjoy learning new things, so I'd love a family who will continue my training and help me grow into the amazing dog I'm meant to be. My foster mom says I'll melt your heart with my sweet personality, and I have to admit...she's probably right! I'm equal parts playful, affectionate, curious, and eager to please. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a constantly wagging tail and lots of love to give, I might just be your perfect match. If you would like to be considered for Logan, our adoption process and application is on our website at www.aarflove.org. Please note: We receive many wonderful applications and unfortunately cannot respond to everyone. If we believe you're a potential match, we will reach out directly. Story
Meet Aspen Aspen is the kind of puppy who makes you smile without even trying. This adorable brindle girl is curious, playful, and always ready to see what adventure comes next. Whether she's investigating a new toy, romping around with her sister, or discovering something exciting in the backyard, Aspen approaches life with a happy spirit and a wagging tail. Like all puppies, she has two speeds—play hard and nap even harder! After a busy day of exploring, you'll often find her curled up for a well-earned snooze, recharging for her next adventure. We believe Aspen has a little Shepherd and Pitty in her family tree, but she's on the smaller side, making her the perfect blend of intelligence, charm, and cuteness. While we're still getting to know her unique personality, it's already clear she'll blossom into a loyal and loving companion with a family willing to invest the time to help her grow. Puppies thrive with patience, positive training, consistency, and lots of love. In return, Aspen promises a lifetime of laughter, muddy paw prints, happy tail wags, and unconditional love. A Few Things About Aspen Gorgeous brindle coat that's as unique as she is. Loves to explore and is curious about everything. Equal parts playful puppy and professional napper. Ready to become someone's very best friend. If you think Aspen might be the missing piece of your family, please visit www.aarflove.org to learn about our adoption process and submit an application. Please note: We receive many wonderful applications and, unfortunately, cannot respond to everyone. If we believe you're a potential match for Aspen, we'll reach out directly.
