Story
💎 Ruby 💎 Let’s start with the good stuff! Ruby is 5 year oldish American Bully! She is an extremely sweet and loving girl. She loves her people so deeply and isn’t biased on who gets her love! A giant bucket of pure joy! She loves to chew her toys and chase them when thrown for her (she’s just working on bringing them back). With proper training and introductions- she happily lives with two other large dogs! She also loves her kitten friends! She is crate trained, potty trained and knows basic commands. The parts we know of her past is heartbreaking! She was rescued from the kill list at Devour Animal Shelter. She was obviously used as a breeder dog who had many litters with the c section scars to prove it! Her back leg muscles were weak and she had urine burns which means she didn’t get time out of a crate besides being bred. Due to her past, she takes time to adjust to new dogs! Ruby is still learning how to walk on a leash properly and is currently working with a high level trainer. She is looking for a home that will continue her training and treat her like the princess she is! Ruby has been vaccinated, microchipped and fixed! She is ready for her new home!

Story
Looks like: Boxer, German Shepherd, Golden Retriever Mix Male, 8 years old (estimated), 64 pounds Meet the dog with the world's biggest heart! Hank has tons of love to share in the form of cuddles, snuggles, and adoration for his family. Hank refuses to pick favorites-in fact, he's a fan of yours already! He has excellent manners-no jumping up when saying hello, never begging, and asking permission before getting onto a bed or couch. Hank would be happiest in a house where folks have deep reserves of affection ready to share with him. This energetic boy will need people who welcome a dog with spirit, strength, and passions: car rides, long walks, hikes, and fetch (only the best game in the world). He has shown some dog reactivity while on leash, but with reminders and training he's already showing signs of improvement. He has successfully lived with cats in the past, but would require a gradual introduction with any new kitty friends. He admits that his natural inclination is to chase cats (squirrels are also kind of irresistible). Hank sometimes protects his resources when he settles into a home. He would be best in a home as a solo dog or with a pup who is happy to share toys and chews and won't be bothered by Hank's miserly tendencies at times! We don't know yet how Hank would do with children. Hank's dream situation would include humans of his very own to love, squeaky toys, and a yard. Hank's DNA results show that he's a Super Mutt Mix! He's 50% Boxer mixed with German Shepherd, Golden Retriever and Border Collie. Hank was surrendered to us because his senior guardian was no longer able to care for him.

Story
Looks like: Boxer mix Male, 10 years old (estimated), 62 pounds Franklin is a sweet boy with the most soulful eyes you are bound to meet! Franklin has tail wags for everyone, human or canine. At the shelter, even the dogs who barked at him from their kennels got a happy wag from Franklin as he moved along. Franklin is just a nice guy! He gets along beautifully with all dogs both big and small, but we don't know how this sweet guy gets along with kitties or children yet. This handsome boy joined us from Hitchcock Road Animal Services after being found as a stray.

Our adoption fees vary. Each biography will specifically list the adoption fee. This dog will be at a meet and greet event on Saturday, September 9th unless he/she is adopted prior to the event with a set up home. The event is from 12 pm to 3 pm at Palo Alto's Pet Food Express. Those interested in meeting the dog can come out to our meet and greet event. We no longer do application approval onsite. Anyone adopting has been previously approved and set up to meet prior to the event. Adoption Fee: $500   Mrs Maisel is a 2 year old Boxer mix who was surrendered to our rescue when her prior home was no longer able to care for her and give her the time she needed. She has been an absolutely lovely pup around kids of all sizes and ages, dogs, and cats as well! She will make her future forever home so lucky. Below is a report from her foster. 'Mrs Maisel is a terrific dog! She adapted right away to our routine. We get up around 6:30 and let the dogs out to do their business. She gets breakfast around 7:30 AM and is a great eater. She then plays in the yard for a few hours before taking a long nap on the couch. She has dinner around 6:30 PM and then goes outside one more time before bed. She has not had an accident in our home since we have had her. Mrs Maisel loves to play but is respectful when other dogs need a break from go go go energy. She is calm when meeting members of the household and when on walks and responds very well to a no command. She would love to go to a home who has a medium-large dog who wants a playful companion because she could truly play 24/7 and still want to play more! She also LOVES a good belly rub. She would also do well in a home with runners and hikers, her tongue hangs out of her mouth after a good long play or activity session. Mrs Maisel is an option for a home who has had prior experience with dogs, especially those who have prior experience with larger breed dogs. If there are children in the home, they should be over the age of 8 and knock-over proof as Mrs Maisel can get excited and play bowling alley with little ones.    October 3, 2023, 11:47 pm
