Story
WATCH MY VIDEO...Sandy is a beautiful 4-year-old tan Boxer mix with a calm, loving personality that makes her incredibly easy to adore. She was previously adopted from us, but sadly returned because she and the other dog in the home were not the right match. Sometimes personalities between dogs just don’t click, and through no fault of her own, Sandy found herself back at the shelter looking for a new beginning. Since being back with us, Sandy has impressed our staff and trainers with what a genuinely good and friendly dog she is. She’s not overly energetic or demanding. in fact, she’s happiest relaxing in the sunshine, soaking up belly rubs, and spending quiet time with her people. She walks wonderfully on leash, appears to be housetrained, comes when called, and has an affectionate, easygoing nature that would make her a fantastic companion for a first-time dog owner. Sandy enjoys treats, likes toys, and will play interactively with you, but she’s definitely more of a relaxed companion than a nonstop athlete. She’s confident without being pushy, affectionate without being clingy. She simply has a sweet, steady temperament that makes being around her feel easy. While Sandy seems to like other dogs, she may be selective about her canine friends, so a dog meet would be important if there is already another dog in the home. What she truly wants most, though, is a family who will love her for the wonderful dog she is and give her the stability she deserves. If you’re looking for a calm, affectionate, low-key companion who will happily join you for walks, cuddle sessions, and sunny afternoons, Sandy may be the perfect fit for your family.

Story
WATCH MY VIDEO...Meet Daniella, a beautiful 8 month old brindle Boxer puppy with a fun-loving personality and so much love to give. Daniella was bred at home, but her family realized they had too many dogs. Situations like this are always heartbreaking because they could often be prevented through spaying and neutering, but now our focus is making sure this sweet girl finds the amazing forever home she deserves. According to her former owner, Daniella is always happy, energetic, and ready for adventure. She enjoys chew toys, stuffed animals, playing fetch, walks, dog parks, and even trips to the beach where she can splash around in the water. She is socialized, leash trained, housebroken, very smart, and eager to learn, making her a wonderful candidate for continued training and fun activities with her future family. Daniella has reportedly done well with adults, young children, including kids as young as one year old, and other dogs. She has never been around cats, so a proper introduction would be important if there are feline friends in the home. One of her favorite special treats is cooked rice with chicken and potato, which somehow makes her even more lovable. Since arriving at our shelter, our staff has noticed that Daniella can be a little shy in the kennels, which is completely understandable after such a major life change. Once she’s outside and comfortable, though, her happy personality shines through. She loves attention, enjoys being petted, likes going on walks, and every once in a while gets the adorable puppy zoomies that are guaranteed to make you smile. While she will play with toys, she seems to care even more about spending time with people. Daniella is truly a sweet, friendly puppy who is ready to become someone’s loyal best friend. With her loving personality, intelligence, and joyful spirit, she is going to make a wonderful companion for one very lucky family.

Story
Rocky.Rocky is a 3-year-old neutered Boxer/American Bulldog mix who has been with me since he was only six weeks old. He is healthy, up to date on veterinary care, and deeply loved.Rocky is a very loyal, affectionate, and obedient dog with the people he knows and trusts. He enjoys playing fetch with his favorite ball, follows me around the house, and has been a cherished member of my family for his entire life.Unfortunately, Rocky struggles with fear-based reactivity. He can become reactive toward strangers, some dogs, and especially cats. Because of his size and strength, managing these behaviors has become increasingly difficult for me.I want to be completely honest about his behavioral challenges because my goal is to find the best possible outcome for him. Despite these issues, Rocky is not a dangerous dog living in constant aggression. He is a dog who needs an experienced handler, structure, management, and an environment.
