PLEASE READ: Thank you for your interest in one of our adoptable dogs! All dogs listed are still available. If interested, please complete our no obligation application. This can be found at www.waldosmuttleycrew.org. Select the Applications tab, then Adoption Application. THE APPLICATION MUST BE COMPLETED AND SUBMITTED BEFORE WE CAN START THE PROCESS. It can take up to a week to process an application. We are an all-volunteer rescue so please be patient. Our adoption area is limited to a 4 hour radius of Indianapolis. We try our best to provide all information in our bios. If you have any specific questions, feel free to ask during the interview process. Some of our dogs have special requirements such as needs another dog in the home or requires a physical and permanent fenced yard. These requirements are not negotiable. Unless otherwise noted, we do not cat test our adoptable dogs. We also require that all pets in your household be spayed/neutered, up-to-date on vaccines and on a monthly heartworm/flea preventative. E-MAILS: We do not respond to e-mail inquiries without an application. We regret that we cannot respond to every e-mail unless you fill out an application. All the dogs we offer for adoption have been spayed/neutered, wormed and microchipped, are up-to-date on immunizations, have been tested for heartworm and are currently receiving a monthly preventative. If the dog had additional medical issues, those have also been addressed. Visit our website www.waldosmuttleycrew.org for more information and to complete an application. BRANDY!!!! She's a fine girl!!!! What a good pet she will be!!! She's a 9 year old boxer/lab/pit bull mix, weighing about 65 lbs, who's Mom ended up in a nursing home. Brandy's mom had no friends or family so Brandy was her mom's only loving companion for 9 years. It was devastating for her Mom to be forced to relinquish Brandy, obviously. And traumatic for Brandy as well. Thankfully, Brandy, despite having never been around dogs, has shown that she absolutely loves playing chase and doing zoomies with her foster dogs. She can play a bit rough because she sure doesn't her age! Brandy still has quite a bit of energy and acts more like a 5 year old dog. She does have some separation anxiety due to the trauma of being taken from her Mom and also due to the fact that her Mom was with her 24/7 . She doesn't tear anything up when her foster mom leaves but wouldn't be happy left alone 9-10 hours a day. Brandy deserves the MOST PERFECT HOME!! Don't you agree?? The ideal home for BRANDY will be one with a large 5 foot tall or greater fenced in yard, a 40 lb or great playful dog, and where is someone is home the majority of the time. Brandy is a HUGE talker and expresses her opinion quite often! It's so often! She vocalizes when she wants attention, when she wants to go outside and when she wants to play. And she is so loving & affectionate! What a fabulous personality this sweetheart has!!! Brandy's adoption fee is $225; she is spayed, current on vaccinations, microchipped as well as kept on monthly heartworm/flea preventative.

Meet Scrappy! This boy is absolute cuteness with short legs! Scrappy is a happy, playful, friendly boy who loves to be with his people and is all around a total sweetheart. Scrappy has done well with other dogs and children, and is all around happy to see everyone he meets. He is a total mixed breed(maybe boxer/basset hound?), but we anticipate he will be medium size. Hi! I'm Mr. Congeniality - Slinky! The whole shelter just adores me for my wiggly and fun personality! I love to do little hops, play with stuffies and be goofy! I'm always up for a walk and human attention! I would likely fit into most homes as long as I have some daily exercise and love. I'm way past the puppy phase and am a mature gentleman! I walk wonderfully on a leash, but I also enjoy a good cuddle session. I might even pair well with an easy going dog. An intro is required to make sure we're pals!Come in and say hi! I bet I'll make you laugh! Love, Slinky boySlinky's adoption fee has been sponsored by Hensley Legal Group to help him find his Fur-Ever home.

Story
Beasley was born in July 2017. He is a very nice dog to his people and would love to be in your company. He is good with people you introduce him to but he will get really excited at first. Once the excitement is over for the initial meeting he is back to normal. He is getting better with this but for the first few years he was only around my wife and I and our son. Beasley likes to protect his people and doesn't like pests in the area he can get to. So snakes, moles, skunks, opossums, etc need to beware. As long as he is introduced and monitored he has befriended a Chihuahua we owned as well as a cat. He is up to date on shots but has not been fixed. He is house trained, crate trained but also likes to go outside. He will come with a petsafe wireless fence which will keep him restrained but also give him room to roam your yard. We are sad to see him go but will not be able to bring him with us. We know that you will love this great dog as much as we have..
