She is extremely people-friendly, loves attention and does great with children. She greets life (and her humans) with enthusiasm, full-body wiggles and a level of excitement she is very happy to talk to you about with an enthusiastic “arrrooooo!”She's a high-energy dog who thrives with daily activity, playtime and mental stimulation. Walks, games, training sessions, adventures - she wants to be involved in it all. She does best when she has an outlet for her energy and a human to share it with. And once she’s had her fun? She happily transforms into a world-class cuddle bug.At night, Tula is a devoted spooner who prefers to sleep close to her person. She may also snore from time to time, which she considers a feature, not a flaw - think cozy white noise from a very contented dog.One of her standout traits is how eager she is to please. She’s smart, attentive and easy to train, making her a great option for a first-time dog owner who’s ready to provide basic structure and consistency. She genuinely wants to do the right thing and be part of her person’s world.Important to know:  Tula has a strong prey drive and is not safe with cats or small animals, so she needs to be the only pet in the home. This isn’t a behavior problem, it’s simply about finding the right environment where she can relax and thrive. Her ideal home:• No cats or small animals• Active individual or family• Someone who enjoys a high-energy dog with a big personalityWhy she’s being rehomed:  Tula is being rehomed due to incompatibility and hyper-fixation with my cats, not because of aggression toward people. She has no bite history, is fully vaccinated, and is ready for a fresh start with the right match. If you want a dog who will be your workout buddy, your couch companion, your nighttime spoon and your enthusiastic conversationalist Tula could be the perfect fit.Contact information:  Michelle 206-858-2525michelleopela@gmail.com All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Story
Rosie is a senior sweetheart with a heart full of love and a talent for making herself right at home. After being found as a stray near Cherokee, she’s traded life on the road for cozy beds, treats, and keeping a watchful eye on the Sarge’s staff as our self-appointed office dog. This gentle lady appears to be potty trained, loves treats (unless they’re fish-flavored), and can produce championship-level snores after a long day of supervising. Rosie is dog and cat friendly and seems to prefer the company of other calm, easygoing dogs who appreciate a slower pace of life. At 12 years old, Rosie has left the puppy chaos behind and is focused on the finer things in life: naps, snacks, companionship, and being wherever her people are.

Story
Kama Over 2 years.. 2 years Kama has been in the rescue... Kama is a beautiful 3 year old timid girl with a sad past we don't know much about apart from she was trapped in Memphis Tennessee on the streets, she may not have had an owner prior to us to be honest..we believe she was born to a stray mom and lived life on the streets until she was trapped around 7-8 months old & ended up in a kill shelter where we pulled her into the rescue last minute. Kama has been in the rescue 2 years now and does let people touch her in brief pets , but very limited and is still a huge work in progress..we're hoping to find a family who would be willing to help show her trust and put into the time she needs, she loves having another big dog around. It helps her feel safe, she will require a home with another dog friendly big dog. She can not be an only dog. You Must have a fenced in yard, no very young kids. She is NOT a beginner dog and will not go to just anyone. She is spayed, microchipped and fully vaccinated and on hw prevention. We will continue to work on Bringing her out of her shell while here. We think she is a boxer type mix . She's never been around cats. No kids, due to her timid behavior. She keeps a tidy kennel and I believe she could very well be housebroken quickly .Around 40lbs Located in Cosby Tennessee. Kamas adoption fee is waived to a perfect home. She needs another dog in the home and requies a fenced in secured yard. She's not comfortable with a leash/going outside of her yard/car rides etc ,she will need some major work with this. While kama is very timid, she's never had a mean moment Adoption fee is waived to a perfect home

Ivony 🩷 Photos & Profile updated: 4/8/2026 11/2/2022 Thats when Ivony first came to our rescue. 💔 Pulled from a Memphis shelter minutes from being euthanized, we never thought we'd have this girl so long in our care 🥺 Ivony is 45lbs and belived to be a mix of boxer /shepherd/pit? . Shes around 6 years of age and is very much a playful puppy still. She is an energetic girl who loves to play with her toys of any kind and absolutely loves people. Everyone thats visited has made friends with Ivony 🥰 Ivony is going to require a energetic home and she does have a few requirements that must be met in order to be considered to adopt her. Ivony ideally would have a fenced in yard✔️ No cats 🚫🐈‍⬛️ She'd be okay as an only dog , or with another dog or 2 her size ,not sure sure about smaller dogs or cats🤷‍♀️ Ivony will not be suitable for apartments Ivony appears to be mostly housebroken and only occasionally has an accident overnight Ivony loves to go for walks with her person and would love to be an adventure buddy. She could use some work with the pulling, but overall isn't bad on the leash, just excited. Iv's adoption fee is waived to a perfect home. She is currently being fostered in Cosby Tennessee and we do adopt out of state. 📍

Story
Introducing Rufus. This stray boy was never reclaimed ( shocker 💔) and he needs to start the hunt for his forever home. Around 50lb and thought to be a boxer mix he is putting on weight great with his foster family and his neuter will be scheduled asap. Rufus will leave us utd on vaccines, neutered, microchipped and hes already hw tested negative and atarted all his monthly preventionas. His hair is growing back nicely. Rufus: A Gentleman looking for his Person. Rufus is well behaved, sweet & unusually smart. He knows basic commands like sit, come, heel etc. He walks well on leash or off. Rufus badly wants to come inside and sit at your side. He isn't aggressive towards our male dog, but doesn't want to play. Rufus is on the older side probably 6-7, so he's ready to settle in for the quiet life. He doesn't require lots of active attention, he just enjoys being close. His ideal home would likely be with a woman who wants a companion by her side; a gentleman watchdog (all bark no bite). Rufus does not tolerate being left alone in a crate, he needs his person close by. He would be happiest with a doggy door, a large fenced yard, and a nice daily walk with his person. Location: Cosby Tennessee Adoption fee sponsored ❣️ Out of state adoptions ARE welcome
