Story
Meet Sweet Mama Moosh! For years, Sweet Mama Moosh has known what it means to survive—but not what it feels like to truly belong. This beautiful 4-5 year old girl spent her life on the streets, where neighbors watched her lovingly raise at least two litters of puppies. While she made sure her babies were safe, no one was there to make sure she was. She endured hunger, uncertainty, and even an injured paw, yet somehow never lost her gentle, loving heart. When we trapped her, the plan was simply to spay her and return her to the streets. But after spending time with her, we knew we couldn't do it. Sweet Mama Moosh is far too affectionate, trusting, and deserving of love to spend another day wondering where she'll sleep or if she'll have enough to eat. She has fought to survive long enough. Now it's her turn to be cared for. Today, her paw has completely healed, and she has blossomed into a happy, healthy, beautiful girl who is finally ready for the life she's always deserved. She is currently being fostered in Puerto Rico and is now spayed, vaccinated, up to date on preventatives, potty trained and crate trained! Such an amazing girl!! She adores gentle pets, leisurely walks, and never says no to a tasty snack. 🥹 She has lived alongside other dogs on the streets. While she'll politely correct a dog that gets too pushy, she has otherwise done well around other dogs. Right now, Sweet Mama Moosh needs someone willing to open their heart and home—whether that's through fostering, foster-to-adopt, or giving her the forever family she's never had. If you've ever thought about changing a dog's life, this is your chance. Sweet Mama Moosh has spent years giving everything she had to survive and to care for others. Now she's simply asking for someone to choose her. Please help us give this sweet girl the ending she's waited her whole life for. ❤️

Story
Our boy Charlie is ready to find his forever home.. And boy is amazing. Born on May 15th 2025 - he is the perfect age - full of life, love and personality. He is your typical young boxer (though I say they never grow up) He is 66 pounds and such a handsome boy Charlie does well with other dogs of all sizes - he was a little intimidated by the bigger dogs at first, but has learned that they can be fun as well. He loves his toys. He has been around cats and wants to chase and play with them , not in an aggressive way at all, just playful moves. He is crate trained and housebroken and is going to make an amazing addition to some very lucky family. Boxers are amazing family dogs and Charlie is no different and is going to be a huge blessing to some very lucky family. As most remember , Charlie came to us with a severe blockage that required major surgery and a week of being hospitalized - he of course has made a full recovery from that and blossomed under his amazing fosters care (thank you Donna and Michael). We do feel Charlie would do better with a fenced in yard as well as sometimes noises can spook him a little He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, dewormed, has been 4DX Heartworm tested and is current on prevention, microchipped and he comes with a face that you can't help but fall in love with. Charlie's adoption fee is a $250.00 donation to the Anna's Hope Veterinary Clinic Community Fund . If you are interested in adopting Charlie - please go to our website www.annashopevetclinic.com and fill out the adoption application. We do not set up meet and greets until the adoption application has been filled out and reviewed. And all of our dogs are in private foster homes throughout Western North Carolina and Upstate South Carolina.

She is extremely people-friendly, loves attention and does great with children. She greets life (and her humans) with enthusiasm, full-body wiggles and a level of excitement she is very happy to talk to you about with an enthusiastic “arrrooooo!”She's a high-energy dog who thrives with daily activity, playtime and mental stimulation. Walks, games, training sessions, adventures - she wants to be involved in it all. She does best when she has an outlet for her energy and a human to share it with. And once she’s had her fun? She happily transforms into a world-class cuddle bug.At night, Tula is a devoted spooner who prefers to sleep close to her person. She may also snore from time to time, which she considers a feature, not a flaw - think cozy white noise from a very contented dog.One of her standout traits is how eager she is to please. She’s smart, attentive and easy to train, making her a great option for a first-time dog owner who’s ready to provide basic structure and consistency. She genuinely wants to do the right thing and be part of her person’s world.Important to know:  Tula has a strong prey drive and is not safe with cats or small animals, so she needs to be the only pet in the home. This isn’t a behavior problem, it’s simply about finding the right environment where she can relax and thrive. Her ideal home:• No cats or small animals• Active individual or family• Someone who enjoys a high-energy dog with a big personalityWhy she’s being rehomed:  Tula is being rehomed due to incompatibility and hyper-fixation with my cats, not because of aggression toward people. She has no bite history, is fully vaccinated, and is ready for a fresh start with the right match. If you want a dog who will be your workout buddy, your couch companion, your nighttime spoon and your enthusiastic conversationalist Tula could be the perfect fit.Contact information:  Michelle 206-858-2525michelleopela@gmail.com All Mountain Pet Rescue (Asheville) animals are up-to-date on vaccinations, spayed/neutered and micro-chipped before adoption. Contact the foster parent or Mountain Pet Rescue at pets@mpravl.org for more information. Please note that visual breed identification of companion animals has been proven to be unreliable, so for most of our animals we provide a best guess at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each of our animals as an individual and do our best to describe and place pets based on personality not breed label. Ria🤎🐾🩷 Ria is a loving, gentle pup who’s ready to find a family to call her own. She has a medium energy level, which means she’s always up for a walk or a play session, but she’s just as happy to curl up beside you when it’s time to relax. Ria does well with kids and thrives in home where she can soak up all the affection. She does need to be the only dog in the household, she prefers having her humans all to herself and being the star of the show. She’s still learning her leash manners, but with a little patience and consistency, she’ll have it down in no time. Ria is eager to please and even more eager to love. If you’re looking for a sweet, loyal companion who will brighten your days, Ria might just be your perfect match. *54 lbs*

Story
Meet Layla! 🐾 Layla is a beautiful 49-pound Boxer mix with a playful personality and plenty of energy to share. She loves staying active and would thrive with a family that enjoys adventures, walks, and playtime. Layla enjoys having dog friends and tends to do best with compatible canine companions who match her play style and personality. She would be happiest in a home where she can be the only feline focus, as cats aren't really her thing. Layla is currently undergoing treatment for heartworm and will continue receiving care until she is heartworm-negative, but she remains happy, active, and full of life. With her fun-loving spirit, affectionate nature, and loyal heart, Layla is ready to find a family that will love her for the amazing dog she is.

Meet oNice🐾🧡 oNice is an older Boxer mix with a heart as big as his sweet, blocky head. He’s a low‑energy guy who’s happiest just hanging out near his people, soaking up calm moments and quiet company. No chaos, no drama — just a mellow buddy who appreciates the simple things. oNice is getting a good handle of the leash, he knows his basic commands, and he gets along well with other dogs. He’s ready for his next chapter, and he deserves one filled with comfort, kindness, and a family who sees how special he is.
