Story
Are you one to stop and smell the roses? If so, Rosie is looking for a home with someone who enjoys the finer things in life too! Rosie is a 2 year old, cane corse/boxer mix who was brought to ARC when her previous owners could no longer care for her. We have helped Rosie settled in here at the shelter, but we know she would do so much better somewhere where she can run around and roll in the grass all day. Her zoomies are the best thing about her- and she’d LOVE to show them off for you! She has the biggest smile which means her choppers are perfect at catching things mid air and if its not a toy you`re throwing her way make sure it is a treat because she loves those just as much. Rosie enjoys going for walks and is learning to walk properly on a leash. She has been such a sweet girl to everyone she has met so far and would love to find a home where she can be loved and cared for. Rosie is open to meeting other dogs (a meet and greet would be required at our shelter for any canine siblings, *NO CATS*). Rosie is spayed, microchipped & up to date on all vaccinations. If interested in adopting Rosie, please go to our website: www.nokillarc.org to fill out a pre-approval form (it can be located under the ‘adoptable dogs’ section).

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Meet Bo! Bo is a handsome 1-year-old Boxer/Redbone Coonhound mix weighing about 50 pounds, and he's ready to find a family to call his own! This sweet, loyal boy loves being with his people and forms strong bonds with those he trusts. Whether you're heading out for a hike, taking a long walk, or just relaxing at home, Bo is happiest by your side. He walks well on a leash and would make an amazing adventure buddy for an active family committed to giving him the daily exercise he needs. Bo is house-trained and does well when left home alone, as long as he isn't crated. While crates aren't his favorite, he's non-destructive and settles in nicely outside of one. Because he loves his people so much, he can be a little anxious when separated, so he'll thrive in a home that can continue building his confidence and provide him with plenty of companionship. Bo enjoys other dogs a little too much! While he is dog-friendly, his enthusiasm can be overwhelming. At this time, he do best as the only dog in the home where he can soak up all the attention. He is not a good fit for a home with cats. Due to his energetic, bouncy personality, he'd also do best with older, dog-savvy children who can keep up with his playful spirit. If you're looking for a loyal best friend with a heart full of love, a zest for adventure, and endless devotion to his people, Bo just might be your perfect match. Bo's Highlights: Bo is ready to give his whole heart to the family willing to give him the love, exercise, and stability he deserves. Could that family be yours? 1 year old Boxer/Redbone Coonhound mix ⚖️ About 50 pounds ✅ House-trained Walks well on a leash Great hiking and adventure companion ❤️ Incredibly loyal and people-oriented Best with older children Dog-friendly but would do best as the only pet No cats Doesn't enjoy being crated but is trustworthy when left loose Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ Click here for the ADOPTION APPLICATION if you are interested in adopting this pet. Applications are the first step in the adoption process. Please do not call or email simply to express interest. We are all volunteers and receiving your application saves us time and helps to determine the best match for both people and dogs.  We provide as much information as we currently have on each dog in their description. For questions on the adoption process, including fees, please review the Adoption page. If you have additional questions or are interested in adopting, please fill out an adoption application. Once we receive your application someone will be in touch to answer your questions. We do not arrange visits to meet dogs without an application. If you'd like to meet a variety of dogs without filling out an application please attend one of our events, listed under the events link.  Thank you!August 23, 2026, 4:44 pm

Bureau of Dog Law Enforcement—Kennel License #2617Could he do well with kids? Yes, with children around 8 years on a kid-by-kid basis.Could he do well with other dogs? Yes, on a dog-by-dog basis.Has this dog lived with cats? Yes. [The Lycoming County SPCA does not “cat test” dogs per the Association of Shelter Veterinarian’s Guidelines for Standards of Care in Animal Shelters.]---What volunteers have to say about this animal:Meet Remmy – Treat Enthusiast, Professional Snuggler, Very Good BoyRemmy has a simple philosophy: if you`re offering a treat, he would like to participate. If you`re offering a lap, he`d like to participate in that, too. This handsome Boxer–Pug mix arrived at the shelter needing to put on some weight, so he`s understandably a big fan of snacks. But what really makes Remmy special is how incredibly sweet he is. He may be a little hesitant at first, but give him a moment and you`ll find a gentle, affectionate boy who would very much like to be your buddy. What Remmy Is Like:- Exceptionally sweet and affectionate- A dedicated treat connoisseur- Knows `sit,` `down,` and `paw`- Loves reassurance and human companionship- Curious about the world around himRemmy can be more interested in investigating his surroundings than playing, which feels very on-brand for a dog who seems to prefer life`s quieter pleasures. He was also impressively good at recovering when something startled him.And then there was the lap situation. Remmy might occasionally try to crawl right into yours for reassurance, apparently having decided that a person is both an excellent source of comfort and a perfectly reasonable piece of furniture. We do not have the heart to disagree. He was curious about meeting new people and frequently checked back in with his human, while his introduction to another dog was polite and reserved. He`s a thoughtful fellow who seems to like taking his time before deciding how he feels about things.Remmy`s Ideal Home Looks Like:- Kids around 8+, on a case-by-case basis- Other dogs, pending meet-and-greets- Cats are a possibility—he has lived with them before- A family that will keep the treats coming and make him feel safe and lovedRemmy is the sort of dog who makes you want to slow down. Give him a snack. Give him a little reassurance. Give him somewhere comfortable to curl up. And if he decides your
