Story
My little 30 pound bestie is looking for a forever family. Millie is the sweetest, most playful dog once she is comfortable with you. She just needs someone who will give her time to warm up to you and your lifestyle! It will take a bit of time. At 6 months old she is doing great at potty training and doing very well in her actual training she is a very quick learner and very food motivated! You will have to be willing to put in the time and effort she deserves and needs. You will be required to continue and complete her training program!! Myself and her trainer think she would be great at agility we have started doing some agility activities while training aswell!! She prefers woman but warms up to men over time. She is the biggest snuggle bug, loves car rides, going on walks, playing with her dog and kitty friends, she loves treats and toys. Millie is the BIGGEST goofball ever with her floppy tounge and her feet that are just a bit too big for her body. Once she is comfortable she is an amazing dog. If you are interested in miss Millie May fill out an application through Orphans of the Storm (No Kill Animal Shelter) linked below! She would do best in a less chaotic household with no small children.

Story
Meet a playful, loving, and loyal sidekick: Samson Samson had a crappy start to life. He was not properly cared for - tied to a staircase. No vet care after he fell down the stairs. It has left him with an injury to his right back leg (you may notice the slight shortness of it). Multiple vets have evaluated the leg and recommend keeping it given his use of the leg and lack of pain. He gets around great and has managed to jump up on the kitchen counter of his foster's home. He has since learned than counters are not part of a fun parkour obstacle course. Point being: the leg works just fine!! Despite his neglectful background, this ~11 month old boxer mix is 48lb of joyful energy. With a beautiful brindle coat and a personality to match, he brings enthusiasm to everything he does!  Whether it’s sprinting laps around the yard, showing off his impressive jumping skills, or simply soaking up time with his favorite people. Samson is very friendly and playful, the kind of dog who greets each day like it’s the best one yet. His zest for life is contagious, making him a great match for an active or somewhat active home that appreciates a little (or a lot of) fun. When he gets his bursts of energy out, Samson loves to sit on the couch with a toy, bone, or chew.  He’s a loyal sidekick at heart who loves to stick by your side after a good play session. He’s a great eater, mostly potty trained (occasional accidents if not taken out regularly), crate trained, and thrives with space to run and explore. A fenced yard would be his dream setup, where he can stretch his legs, have a zoomie session, and then plop down in the grass with a toy. He loves other dogs, although some of them don't always appreciate his exuberant play styles. We think Samson would do fine as the only dog or in a house with multiple dogs. Samson is not currently living with cats, but we feel he would likely not do well with them. Kids 5 and up would likely be a wonderful part of Samson's forever life. He has met several kids and done so well with them. He loves giving kisses and making kids giggle!  Samson would be in heaven running around a yard or playing fetch with a small human of his own to grow up with. If you’re looking for a loving, spirited companion who will keep life light and full of laughter, this brindle boy is ready to meet you. Samson can go home today to an approved adopter. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, and negative for heartworm and lyme. Apply at pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. KL 16182 ##2726833##

WE ARE A TX-BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application at haydudeequine.org 🐾🥧 Well hello y'all — I’m Moon Pie! 🥧🐾 (2 Years • 70 lbs • Male • Big Goof Energy Included) Yep, Moon Pie — like the sweet treat and like Sheldon’s Meemaw calls him on The Big Bang Theory. Because when you’re this lovable, wiggly, and impossible not to adore, you deserve a name that sounds like a hug. And let me tell you… I am a hug in dog form. I’m a big, lanky, floppy, happy boy with a giant heart and zero shame about belly rubs. I will dramatically roll over, squirm, wiggle, and grin while you rub my belly like it’s my full-time job (spoiler: it is). My foster dad calls me a total goof — and honestly, I take that as a compliment. I’m fully house trained (very proud of this accomplishment) and I’m doggie-door certified. If the door is ever locked, I politely wait like the gentleman I am instead of panicking or causing chaos. On walks, I usually stroll along nicely on a loose leash… unless a squirrel appears, or a potential new friend crosses my path, in which case I briefly but only briefly, forget my professionalism 😅 🐾 Moon Pie’s Fun Facts & Credentials: ✔️ House trained & crate trained (I relax quietly when you leave) ✔️ Uses the dog door like a pro ✔️ Walks well on leash — excitement moments included ✔️ Quiet at home — not much of a barker ✔️ Loves toys and can entertain himself like a one-dog circus ✔️ Knows “sit” and “stay” and takes treats gently ✔️ Super smart, eager to learn, and very trainable I’ve lived with a senior dog and we got along great — though I’ll admit, sometimes I forget not everyone wants to play as much as I do. I’d love a dog buddy who enjoys some playtime or a human who’s happy to help me keep polishing my manners. I really want to be the best boy. Oh — and if you’re into running or biking? Congratulations, you’ve just found your new workout partner. I love keeping pace and cruising alongside you like it’s no big deal. At the end of the day, I’m sweet, affectionate, goofy, active, and full of potential. I’m the kind of dog who brings laughter to your yard, calm to your home, and loyalty to your heart. If you’re looking for a loving, slightly ridiculous, incredibly charming companion with sweetness galore and is Meemaw-level approval… I think we might be a perfect match. 👉 Apply today at haydudeequine.org and bring home Moon Pie — the snack-sized name with the full-sized heart. 🖤🤍🥧🐾

******Please note, once completing the initial screen you will be connected with the placement for a video chat. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. We rarely know a dog's exact age nor are we able to tell the true or full breed mix of dogs as our information is limited most of the time. *** Interested in applying to adopt her? Story
So I found this dog roaming around my street and I decided to take him in to feed him. I’ve had him for a couple months but ultimately I do not have the means or time to continue to take care of him. He seems to be young. He will follow you everywhere but not all the time when he wants to be curious. He can be clingy but I assume it’s because he is young. He likes to be outside. I hope that he finds a home that is willing to take care of him or has the time to. He is just learning the world so he needs extra attention.

Story
Hi everyone...My name is REX and I am up for ADOPTION aka looking for my forever home through Cross Your Paws Rescue. I'm estimated to be 3 y.o. but my foster mom thinks I am younger. My foster mom did a DNA test and the results are a Heinz 57 mix... I have 22% american pit bull terrier, 17% Treewalker Coonhound,14% Grest Pyrenees, 7% Boxer...I arrived in PA on 10/19/25 weighing in at 47lbs... but I now weigh a healthy 53 lbs. - No accidents in my foster home.- I am super dog friendly and would love a permanent home with a puppy sibling (probably a sibling my size or larger would be best) to continue to show me the ropes. If thats not ideal then I would do great in a house where my family was home a lot with a fenced in yard. I do not require a lot of exercise but I am super happy to walk/hike/explore as well. I have great stamina.- My mom works night shift but so far I am happy to snuggle close and sleep without a peep during the day and night.- I do not like being in a crate away from my family I prefer to snuggle on the bed if allowed.- I love to be as close to my person as I can- I do not beg for food when you are eating but simply lay down at your feet.- I do not jump on anyone but my foster mom when she comes home. She is trying to help me learn that's not ideal even though Im so excited to see her. (My foster sister does it, so I think I should.)- I do not bite.- I did great visiting with a 11 y.o boy in the house and outside while he was running around me.  I am working on...- learning on my basic commands - (UPDATE- for some reason I do not like to sit on command, it appears to make me nervous).- learning no one (especially the men) wants to hurt me. (UPDATE- I love my foster dad and lay/sleep beside him, when mom is not home, but if he goes to pet my head I'm still scared)- learning car rides can be for fun things (UPDATE- I love going on rides but I require a seat belt to keep me inside when the windows are open)- learning the feral cats/wildlife are not allowed to be chased (UPDATE- when my mom tells me to leave it - I do not chase the outside cats)- learning on my recall... but my tree walker coonhound nose makes me want to get on a trail and not use my ears the best.  (UPDATE- I am working on off leash in my yard and on hikes and doing well!) We will continue to update Rex and all the good things he is learning... please SHARE to help him find his home! ##2546643##

Story
Jacko is a Pitbull terrier mix. He came to us as a stray on March 3, 2022. No one ever came looking for him. Jacko is energetic and likes long walks and playing ball. He can be rough when playing. He would do best in an adult-only home with no children. Jacko needs a patient adopter with time to spend on training.
