Story
Luna is a funny and adorable 3-year-old boxer mix that is waiting for the right, patient owner to give her a caring new home. Unfortunately, when she was younger, Luna was attacked by other dogs, and as a result is not friendly towards them now. However, she is sweeter than ever with most people and would make a good companion for an adult household with no children or other animals. She loves to snuggle up under a blanket and can often be seen at Four Footed Friends with a blanket over her head. She has a lot of fun outside in our yard, playing fetch with a ball, and running around on her strong legs. If allowed to, she would play fetch 24 hours, 7 days a week, she loves it that much! She knows some basic commands such as “sit, come, down, shake, leave it.” However, she is not well house-trained and could definitely benefit from someone willing to be patient and teach her the basic manners of living indoors. She loves mealtime and is very food motivated. Do you think you can provide Luna with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. You can also visit https://www.fourfootedfriends.org/ for more information on our organization and other pets we have available for adoption. Story
Gonzo is a stunning, exuberant, lively young boxer mix who is ready for a new family to call his own. Unfortunately, he is in this position due to an unforeseen health issue with his previous owner. Gonzo is extremely friendly, loving, sweet, and extroverted. He thrives around people and loves to spend quality time with his human companions. As a 1-year-old dog, he is very energetic and excitable, and has high enthusiasm when he receives attention from people or other dogs. He is still learning how to control his body and reign in his excitement and would benefit from some training as well as lots of exercise! He loves being outside, playing outside, and getting multiple walks a day. In addition, Gonzo is quite strong and still needs quite a bit of leash walk training. However, he is coachable, very attentive, and listens well. He already knows several basic commands and is very responsive to vocal cues. Gonzo loves everyone, including other dogs and is compatible with kids as well. He also previously coexisted very successfully with an adult who had special needs. Gonzo is a ball of life, joy, and excitement and he is ready to bring a lot of fun to a new lucky family. Do you think you can provide Gonzo with a forever home? If so, please reach out and contact Four Footed Friends at (724) 349-1144 or dogmanager@fourfootedfriends.org. Story
Meet Martin, an adorable 7-month-old male Boxer-Shepherd mix, weighing about 40 pounds. Martin has a healthy dose of puppy energy but isn’t overly hyper. He loves going for walks and handles the leash well. This smart boy already knows some basic commands like sit, down, and come. While he can get a bit excited and jump up to greet you, his foster mom is working on curbing this behavior. His new family should be committed to continuing his training. Martin enjoys playing with other dogs and cats, as his foster home has both. He loves chewing on bones and squeaky toys, keeping himself entertained. Martin is doing great with potty training and will sit by the door to signal he needs to go out. He does experience some separation anxiety and isn’t a fan of the crate, but his foster mom is helping him with these issues. Martin loves his people so much that he gets upset when they’re out of sight. He would thrive in a home where someone is around most of the time to help him with his separation and crate anxiety. This sweet young pup would love to join you on walks or snuggle on the couch. Because he tends to jump when excited, he would do best in a home with older kids to prevent accidental knock-overs. Martin is neutered, up to date on all vaccinations, and microchipped. If you think your home would be a great fit for Martin, please fill out an application at www.pawsacrosspittsburgh.com/adopt. Martin will be available for adoption on or after June 16th, 2024, through Paws Across Pittsburgh, Springdale, PA 15144, KL#16182. ##1945855##

Story
WE ARE A TX BASED RESCUE. THIS DOG IS CURRENTLY LOCATED IN TX AND WILL BE TRANSPORTED UPON ADOPTION. Please fill out an adoption application found at haydudeequine.org Heidi - You are the bridge between what was and what will be, my pathway to a new life! My name is Heidi, full of youthful exuberance for life, innocence and curiosity. Ready to crawl right into your heart (won't take long either!!) and be a part of a family...YOUR family! I am still a youngster yet, a big puppy at heart! I have lots of energy and am quite agile. I could be a great candidate for obedience classes and maybe even some fun ones like agility classes. I'm a smart cookie (i know cuz my foster mom tell me so!) and catch on quickly. At 11 months and around 45lbs, I shouldn't get much bigger at my adult weight. What a perfect size for...everything! Neighborhood strolls, nature hikes(aaaah, all those wonderful tantalizing smells), camping, being a co-pilot for errand runs or trips to the park! You name it, I'm ready to give it a whirl and have a blast too (with whatever it is) just cuz we're doing it together!! And the bestest part is that I'm also small enough that I don't hog the whole couch for my cherished cuddle time!! My foster mom wanted you to know this about me - -she is housebroken -she wants to be a lap dog; -she would fit well with an adult home with older children; -with her high prey drive she should be in a home without small dogs or cats but will do well with her size or larger size breed of dogs; -she is a fast learner and will shine with an owner that will include her in their everyday life adventures; -she is crate trained; -she follows basic commands and walks well on leash; -she thrives on daily walks; -she’s a family dog and will make a fabulous family member; -she loves walks, hikes, exploring, tug of war and games using her nose and sparking her intelligence; -she’s quite agile and shows ability in figuring out how to jump over or crawl under set obstacles. She is happy, fun loving and eager to bring joy to her forever home! As my short sleek coat is low maintenance in the grooming department, making me more of a wash-n-to type of gal. And you do know what that means don't you?!! Oh yep yep, lots of extra time in the 'spoil me rotten' department. And you know that's what it's all about!! ;) Big on personality, smart and inquisitive, affectionate and sweet, my oh my I have a boatload of great traits going on, oh and don't forget my stunning good looks, to make me a great family addition, I just need the family...could it be YOUR family?

Story
Deacon spent 6 years of his life in a shelter!! We had to give him a chance. When Deacon came out of the shelter he wasn't quite ready for the outside world. Luckily All The Way Canine Academy stepped up by taking him in to help him adjust to a life outside of the shelter. Deacon is ready to find his forever family and be given a real chance at a life he deserves. Deacon can be shy at first, understandably, but once he opens up he will happily give you butt wiggles and his paw asking for affection. Deacon is loving but doesn't need constant affection and can relax on his own. Deacon will easily relax in the home. He would do well with a crate as the crate is his safe place.

He's smart, housebroken and has an active personality. Stanley can be independent at times but likes attention when he's ready for it. He is best with older kids because he doesn't like them to be in his face when he's sleeping. Stanley slept in the kids room or in the living room at his previous home. He came to the shelter because he was jealous of the other dog in the family. Stanley goes to a kennel for group play time and does very well! PA 1137
