Meet Samson! This 1 year old, ~50lb brindle Boxer mix is a happy spirit with a playful personality who is ready to find his forever home!  Samson is joyful, friendly, loves people, and has an incredible zest for life. He approaches each day with enthusiasm and believes every day should include a little fun. He loves sprinting around the yard, showing off his impressive jumping skills, tossing toys around, and spending time with his favorite people. He’s the kind of dog who can make you laugh just by being himself. After a good play session, Samson is happy to chill in the grass outside. If inside, he will settle in his crate or on the couch with a toy, bone, or chew. He loves being with his people and is slowly becoming an expert couch companion - he has yet to master personal space! Samson is crate trained, a great eater, and mostly potty trained. He may have an occasional accident if he isn't taken outside regularly, but he's doing very well with his house manners. A fenced yard would be his dream, giving him plenty of room to run, explore, play fetch, and enjoy his zoomie sessions. Samson loves other dogs, although his exuberant play style can sometimes be a little much for dogs who prefer a quieter approach. We think he could happily live as the only dog or with canine companions who enjoy an energetic playmate. Perhaps you have a dogs in your neighborhood. Samson would love to be the only dog in the home yet have play dates with neighbor dogs. Note he has not been living with cats, and we believe a cat-free home would be best. Kids 5 and up would likely be a wonderful match for Samson. He has met several children and has been fantastic with them. He loves giving kisses, making kids giggle, and soaking up attention. A home where he can run around the yard and play fetch with a small human of his own would be pretty close to his idea of heaven. For disclosure purposes, we want to be transparent that Samson had a leg injury when he was a puppy. The injury healed, but his one back leg is slightly shorter than the other legs. Multiple veterinarians have evaluated him and recommend leaving the leg as-is because he uses it well and shows no signs of pain. It doesn't stop this energetic boy from running, playing, jumping, or enjoying life!  He does not have any activity restrictions or leg-related medications. If you're looking for a loving, spirited, goofy companion who will keep life active and full of laughter, Samson is ready to meet you!  He can go home today to an approved adopter. My name is Albie. I’m 8 years young, 53 pounds, and full of charm. I’m a handsome black-and-white Boxer/Bulldog/Terrier mix with the cutest bouncy walk that will make you smile every time I head your way. Fun fact about me: "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain was originally written with me in mind. "The strands in your eyes that color them wonderful stop me and steal my breath...I'll be your crying shoulder.... I"ll be the greatest fan of your life."  Think about it...my eyes are beautiful and unique.I'll Be = ALBIE = your crying shoulderI'll Be = ALBIE = the greatest fan of your life You should know that I happen to be partially blind. My eyesight isn't perfect, but don’t let that fool you. I get around great and love running and playing in the yard with my medium-sized dog friends. I’m proof that a little visual impairment doesn’t have to slow down a happy guy like me! I do need daily eyedrops to keep my eyes cared for, so my forever family should be comfortable with that part of my routine. I’m a big fan of stuffies, too. My favorite thing is carrying my toys around in my mouth like my own little treasures. You know what else I treasure?  A cozy spot on the couch or on your lap. Quality snuggle time is the greatest - I love to lay next to you with my head in your lap.   I'm partway potty trained - I go outside a lot, but sometimes I go inside if you don't take me out often enough.  I’m looking for a family who will appreciate my adorable bounce, celebrate my happy spirit, and make sure I have a soft place to land at the end of the day. I'd prefer a fenced in yard and another medium sized dog in the home. If you don't have a fenced in yard, please be willing to use a stake and long lead with me. Transports run every few weeks and we will have the dog on the next available transport once approved. If you are not able to accept a dog until a specific time period, please apply at that time************ We are a volunteer run rescue and donate our time to these dogs. IF you are not serious about moving forward in our adoption process, please do not apply. If someone other than yourself is part of the decision making process, please make sure you have spoken with them and they are on board. We really do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Teeka, a 1 year 7 month old spayed female, Boxer mix, 42lbs. She is in a foster home in Houston, TX and can transport out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! The amazing Teeka is on the hunt for her forever home. She specializes in best friending with an emphasis on playing! She currently lives with several larger dogs and is learning to respect their boundaries. She LOVES to play with them, but does need some help realizing when her foster siblings are ready to stop. She has not met any cats, so we’re not sure how she’d react to a feline sibling. Her foster mom says she’s done well meeting new human friends and is learning not to jump on them. Because of this and her high energy levels, we do recommend a home with older dog savvy kids. This smartie is house and crate trained! She sleeps quietly in her crate and is kenneled whenever her foster family is out of the house. We don’t recommend leaving her out unsupervised as she may help herself to whatever she finds in the kitchen. Teeka’s love for food is next level and she will try to sneak a bite from you or the other dog’s bowls, but has shown no signs of resource guarding. She is still working on her leash manners, but is getting better every day! She gets a little too excited when she sees other dogs, but is learning to calm down and continue on her walk. This happy girl absolutely loves toys! She knows where the toy basket is and will get one so you can join in the fun. She’s a huge fan of fetch and tug of war! Teeka is learning the joys of relaxing too. She loves to lay on your legs and get some pets and give some kisses. She’s happy just to be near her humans. Teeka is a young pup with boundless energy that will thrive in a home with a yard, daily exercise, training and patience. She’s a goofy, happy, loving girl and with just one look into those pretty doe eyes, your heart will melt! ***Listed BREED and AGE - We are taking our best guess & recommendations from our veterinarian on age, breed and size when fully grown. Yeti! Meet Yeti!  Yeti was a local stray, that was saved by some our amazing  volunteers , from a local kennel.  It was love at first sight when his foster saw his pic, and she knew she wanted to save him. Yeti is about a year old , and full of puppy energy. His foster says he is the sweetest boy,  and loves cuddles. He walks very well on a leash , and is currently working on basic manners, including jumping. Yeti is a current medical case, and will be undergoing entropia surgery for both eyes and neutering soon.  Yeti gets along great with people, dogs, and cats. He would make a wonderful addition to a home that wants an active dog,  and also wants a dog who loves to snuggle on the couch.
