Story
Prima is a volunteer favorite. She’s got the cutes underbite with her little tongue always sticking out just a little. She’s so affectionate. Always wanting to be pet and to give kisses. She’s just a perfect girl. She came in with another dog so she may be ok to go home with another dog. She’s great on her leash and great in her kennel. If you’d like to meet this all around good girl, email us at sableadoptions1681@gmail.com

Story
Is she not the most beautiful girl you've ever seen?! Meet Maeve! This 55lb wonder of a pup is the very definition of a strong woman! She originally came to us as a transfer from another shelter, where they discovered that this beautiful, sweet girl was shot 4 times. We don't know the full back story, but in typical fashion, Maeve recovered beautifully. Shelter vets have determined that 2 bullets are not removable, but they don't bother her at all! They DO make for a good story she can tell around the water dish at doggy daycare. But Maeve told us she wants to give up her life of mystery and intrigue and settle down to have an uneventful, happy life. All she wants is a soft bed, cuddles with her people, and maybe an occasional run in the park. Can you give Maeve the life she deserves? Come meet her today! Story
Meet Ray – A Brave Soul with a Heart Full of Love Ray is a 3-year-old Boxer with a gentle spirit and an unbreakable heart. Though he’s blind, Ray doesn’t let that stop him from living life with love and courage. His Story: Ray was found wandering the streets alone, starving and completely blind. We can only imagine how frightening it must have been for him to survive without being able to see. Despite being thin, anemic, and exhausted, Ray still greeted rescuers with kindness and trust — proof of his incredible spirit. Medical Notes: Thanks to many generous donors, Ray received a full eye evaluation and was diagnosed with Progressive Retinal Atrophy (PRA). This condition means he has lost nearly all of his vision and can only detect faint shadows or changes in light. While there’s no treatment to restore his sight, daily supplements can help preserve what little vision he has left. Personality; Ray has shown amazing resilience. In just a few short weeks, he’s learned the layout of the shelter and continues to grow more confident every day. His playful, silly side shines through as he learns to trust and navigate his world. Ray enjoys gentle affection, soft voices, and his favorite toys. Once he bonds with you, he’ll reward your patience with unwavering loyalty and love. Home Needs: Ray may do well with calm, friendly dogs (meet and greets are always required). We’re not sure how he feels about cats, but with slow introductions, it may be possible. He would thrive in a quieter, adult-only home with a patient family willing to guide him and give him the safe, stable life he’s been waiting for. Could You Be His Match? Ray has been through so much, yet his heart remains open. He’s ready for a soft place to land and a family who will see him for the brave, gentle boy he truly is.

Story
Hi everyone...My name is Rex and I am up for ADOPTION aka looking for my forever home through Cross Your Paws Rescue. I'm estimated to be a 3 y.o boxer coonhound mix. I arrived in PA on 10/19/25 weighing in at 47lbs... but I'm sure my weight increased by a pound or 2 since then. - No accidents in my foster home. I did try to mark two things in my house but my foster mom corrected me and I have not done it since.- I am super dog friendly and would love a permanent home with a puppy sibling to continue to show me the ropes. If thats not ideal then I would do great in a house where my family was home a lot with a fenced in yard. I do not require a lot of exercise but I am super happy to walk/explore as well.- My mom works night shift but so far I am happy to snuggle close and sleep without a peep during the day and night.- I do not like being in a crate away from my family so I'm happy to snuggle on the floor or bed if allowed. - I do not beg for food when you are eating but simply lay down at your feet.- I do not jump on anyone.- I do not bite.- I did great visiting with a 11 y.o boy in the house and outside while he was running around me. I am working on...- learning on my basic commands (including my name)- learning no one (especially the men) wants to hurt me. (UPDATE- im starting to love my foster dad and lay beside him but if he goes to pet my head I'm still scared)- learning car rides can be for fun things (UPDATE- I love going on rides but I require a seat belt at this time)- learning the feral cats/wildlife are not allowed to be chased We will continue to update Rex and all the good things he is learning... please SHARE to help him find his home! ##2546643##
