Rescued from the La Joya shelter with her puppies, she arrived skin and bones, but with care and love she has blossomed into the beautiful dog she was always meant to be. All of her puppies have found homes—now it’s mama’s turn. Playful, friendly, and full of affection, Jewel loves everyone she meets. She would be especially happy in a family with kids to play with and people to take her on long walks. After her adventures, she’s ready to snuggle up and soak in the love she’s been waiting for. Jewel is longing for her own forever home where she can finally be cherished. Meet Chris, a Boxer-Lab Mix who is 3 years old and weighs 68 pounds.  Taken in by a good Samaritan, Chris is chipped, neutered and current on all his vaccines.  Additionally he has been treated for heartworm and is doing great!    He likes to run, play and go for long walks. He is leash trained and walks good on a leash. Extremely well behaved and kennel trained, too. Chris is gentle with all. He is good with small dogs and a great playmate with dogs of all sizes.  Chris also likes cats. Such a loving dog who needs a furever home. He is fostered in a private home with other dogs and cats. My dog Stetson is a wonderful boy who has been an incredible member of our family. He is AMAZING with kids, very loyal to the family unit, silly/loves playing, is fully potty trained, great on walks, and fairly "chill" for his age (about 2). I am unsure if he likes other dogs.He has been getting territorial with new people entering our home. We have already gotten him a lot of great training (board and train). However, as a newly-single mother on active duty, I do not have the capacity or financial resources to do more intensive training required to resolve this behavior and feel he deserves a home that has the knowledge or resources to do so.
