Story
Diez once had a home with a person who loved him enough to look for him for a long time before giving up. Diez arrived at the shelter as a lost boy with ID, but his person, when contacted, was no longer in a position to care of him, though he said he had tried to find Diez for a year. He needs to find another person or family who would love him as much and more. Diez is well-trained - he knows sit, stay and lay down. Diez weighs 72 pounds, so he's a big boy, and he is about 4 years old. He is current on vaccines and neutered; he will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Come meet him in Run 46 using ID#662217. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. If this cat or dog came in as a lost animal, we do not know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When inquiring about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER. This pet is available for adoption from Cobb County Animal Services, 1060 Al Bishop Dr. Marietta, GA 30008, (770) 499-4136. Shelter hours: Tues. - Sun. 10:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., closed Mondays & Holidays. The adoption includes shots, altering, a heart worm or combo test and a microchip.

Story
Monty is a tri color stunner of a dog, who we think is a Bull Terrier / Smooth Coat Collie mix! He has a trim, athletic build, and the domed forehead so characteristic of the bull terrier breed. He is a medium sized dog, weighing in at only 38 pounds. He has laser focus, and is so very, very smart! He's going to make his handler look like the best dog trainer in the room - lol! We think think boy would be an amazing candidate for dog sports! If you've ever wanted to stick your toes in the waters of dog sports, like disc or dock diving, or agility, this boy would be thrilled to learn with you. He loves all humans, and absolutely LOVES other dogs! This boy is sure to be popular, and we could not be happier to have him in our program! Welcome, Monty!November 1, 2024, 6:01 pm

Story
Phoenix was found with bloody legions all over her from a really bad skin infection. She was wandering in the heat and ready to collapse. Her foster mama found her and had nursed this pretty girl back to health. She was shy in the beginning but her personality is really coming out. She was initially not fond of men, but now is foster dad's shadow and likes to hang out with him while he works in his shed. She enjoys being outside and playing with her doggie siblings. Phoenix will be ready towards the end of August when her skin is clear and she is spayed. She is a big girl who seems to take everything in stride. Is Phoenix the love you have been looking for?

Story
Rio is a sweet black tri bully. He was recently homed for a year. But due to the owner changing apartments. He had to come back with me. The previous owners new complex doesn't allow dogs and he didn't have too many options. Rio loves treats and long walks. As well as a very affectionate dog. Loves cuddles and belly rubs. One of the sweetest dogs I have met honestly. He had a healthy appetite and balance. I just want him to get ot a good home

Story
We adopted Sampson from the humane society when he was 12 weeks old. He has lived with us his whole life (9 years) and has been a great dog. He is very affectionate and gentle with our two young boys. He is energetic and excited to meet new people. He is great with other dogs but prefers dogs that are smaller than him. Sampson loves to go on walks, lay in the sun, lick toes, and chase birds/bugs/squirrels. Over a year ago Sampson partially ruptured his cranial cruciate ligaments in both rear legs. He was under restricted movement for several months and has made a great recovery, though his knees still crack/pop when climbing the stairs and he gets sore if he runs around too vigorously. Sampson does not like being crated. He stays out when we leave the house and rarely causes any issues. However, he has strong anxiety around thunderstorms, which can be challenging.

Story
Ollie is a 4-year-old handsome boy. Weighing 66 pounds, Ollie is a kind-hearted dog who is currently overwhelmed by shelter life. He was surrendered together with Ella on 11/27/24. He’s very scared and nervous, not quite ready to sit on command, but his love for treats shows that he’s eager to trust and connect with the right family. He is UTD on vaccines and microchipped. He will be neutered before adoption. Ollie tested positive for heart worms and will need some extra care to regain his full health. Despite this, his sweet demeanor shines through, and he’s ready to give all his love to someone who will give him the chance he deserves. He’s searching for a forever home that will provide him with the security and love he needs to thrive. Visit him at RUN #857, ID 6539. Please note, all of the pet listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers, not shelter staff. If this pet came in as lost (not an owner surrender), we don't know how they might be with children, other pets, or if house trained. You can bring your pet to the shelter for a meet & greet with your potential new best friend. When calling the shelter about a cat or dog, please use THE ID NUMBER, names are oftentimes made up by volunteers.
