Story
We adopted Sampson from the humane society when he was 12 weeks old. He has lived with us his whole life (9 years) and has been a great dog. He is very affectionate and gentle with our two young boys. He is energetic and excited to meet new people. He is great with other dogs but prefers dogs that are smaller than him. Sampson loves to go on walks, lay in the sun, lick toes, and chase birds/bugs/squirrels. Over a year ago Sampson partially ruptured his cranial cruciate ligaments in both rear legs. He was under restricted movement for several months and has made a great recovery, though his knees still crack/pop when climbing the stairs and he gets sore if he runs around too vigorously. Sampson does not like being crated. He stays out when we leave the house and rarely causes any issues. However, he has strong anxiety around thunderstorms, which can be challenging.

Story
We are looking to rehome my elderly aunt’s pit bull terrier named Ripley. A recent decline in health has meant my aunt can no longer give Ripley the care she deserves. We are looking for a home that will love and take care of her, and preferably familiar with the breed. She is a smart, sweet, and very loyal dog that has only known one home since coming from the breeder as a puppy. My aunt loves her and would not let her go if she had a choice. We live in another state, already have two cats and cannot take her home with us. Name-“Ripley” (or “Rippy”/“Rip”) Spayed female, 7½ years old, up to date on all shots, regular vet checkups & given preventative trifexis Lots of dog supplies will come with her (training collar, treats, leashes, dog bed, carrier, etc.) Very smart, sweet and non-aggressive around people, even when paramedics, plumbers, etc. have come into the home. She hasn’t been around kids very much, although she’s been fine with those that she has

Meesha is a loving beautiful dog that loves people and behaves well. We’ve had her for three years and spoiled her so she needs the same type of treatment. Life is happening and we don’t have the capacity to care for her like we need to.

Story
Thor is a cutie, and super sweet and playful. He arrived at the shelter as a hungry lost boy with ID on July 28. His family decided not to come for him. We don't know how long Thor had been on his own, but he has missed more than a few meals and at just 36 pounds, needs to put on a little weight. He's happy to oblige and is treat motivated, but even in his deprived state, he'll sit and take the treat gently. Thor is about 3 years old. He is current on vaccines and neutered and will be heartworm tested upon adoption. Come meet this boy and fall in love. He's waiting in Run 411; use ID#660666. Thor looks so much better than when he arrived, see video: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/6MB6U3j2amE Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. This smiley girl is Lacey! She arrived at the shelter as a lost girl on 8/15, and no one has come to reclaim her. We're surprised no one is missing her; she is super sweet and smart! Someone along the way took the time to teach her a few commands including sit, lay down, and stay. Lacey is still quite young so she'll need an active family who can keep up with her! Lacey is approximately 1.5 years old, and she weighs 35 lbs. She is UTD on vaccines and spayed; she will be microchipped, and heartworm tested upon adoption. Please come meet Lacey in run 403; her ID # is 661148. Note - all the listings on Friends of Shelter Animals for Cobb are done by volunteers. Story
What's not to love about me? I'm cute, petite, a super snuggler and I heard some guy named Rick wrote a song about me!!! I'm Jessie Girl. They say I'm a boxer mix, but I'm not even 40 pounds. Fommy thinks I might have some Boston terrier in me, which might explain my high prey drive. I love my 4 legged family members in my foster home, but they should probably not be in a farm setting. Also, no cats or rabbits, please. I'm a super snuggler who loves to be under the covers - and that's any covers; I'm not picky, but I especially love to be under yours so I can be all warm and cozy. I'm house-trained and crate-trained. What I don't do well is walk on a leash. I would need lots of patience and training. I can act very crazy and unruly while on walks, and even scream a bit because I'm over-excited, so teaching me how to redirect/refocus would be my number one priority. I would rather have a home that has a nice, secure,  tall fence. That way I won't get the crazies.   I'm just a simple family girl out here looking for her forever life. If that might be you, let's meet to see!     For inquiries, email inquiry@angelsrescue.org     An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online.   http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms   Please be sure to like our Facebook page https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.   Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions. Story
So many famous Admirals in history, but first and foremost is me - I'm a famous Admiral! Meet Admiral, a neutered 8-year-old (12/13/2013) super energetic Boxer/Mountain Cur mix. He is lean and athletic and loves running and could probably command a naval fleet if needed.  Admiral will make the perfect companion for an active family.    Admiral is house and crate-trained and comes with a special escape-proof crate.  As a famous Admiral, he does need a fenced yard to run off his excess energy.  And a dog companion who likes to play and is around Admiral's size makes it easy to help this energetic guy settle down Admiral loves other dogs, playing, wrestling, chasing, and being chased. This handsome senior guy is ready for his own home where he gets lots of attention, play, and just being active! Just look at that goofy smile. Story
Hi, I’m Pistol Pete, my fosters call me Petey, I’m a strong, healthy, playful, boy that likes to play, run, fetch and am full of energy. I am just one years old, and hoping to find my forever home. I would love a fenced in yard, so I can play and sometimes just enjoy laying in the sunshine. I get along with other dogs, children, and I do well out and about on the town meeting new people and friends.    I might be a tripod, but I don’t know it, I have no problems with stairs or jumping into your lap if you’d like me to. I’m a loving, cuddly boy and I’m a fast learner, as you can see, I’m quite the handsome boy as well! Oh, and I absolutely love care rides.    Please consider adopting  me as I would be a loyal, fun and loving companion. I won’t let you down!    An Adoption Application for this dog can be found and submitted online. http://www.angelsrescue.org/adopt/adoption-forms  Please be sure to like our Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/angelsrescue.  Email inquiry@angelsrescue.org  Note: Some apartments and neighborhoods have breed restrictions.
