Meet Pumpernickel, a one-of-a-kind mix of brains, bounce, and snuggles wrapped up in a petite and impressive Bull Terrier x German Shepherd package. She’s an energetic, silly girl who greets life with enthusiasm and is looking for an active family ready to keep up with her adventurous spirit.
Pumpernickel loves being on the move! Long walks, sniffing adventures, flirt pole games, tug sessions, and puzzle toys are all high on her list of favorite activities. She’s incredibly smart and learns quickly, especially when treats or games are involved! She’ll thrive in a home that enjoys training, enrichment, and keeping life engaging. With her sharp nose and love of problem-solving, she’d be a total star in activities like nose work. Whether she’s tossing her toys into the air to chase them herself or making a surprise appearance in a video meeting, she keeps her people laughing every day.
After she’s burned off her energy, Pumpernickel’s snuggly side shines! When she’s tired, she turns into a total cuddlebug who just wants to curl up close and soak in affection. She loves her people deeply and is happiest when she’s included in daily life, whether that’s heading out for walks, exploring new places, or relaxing together on the couch.
Pumpernickel enjoys other dogs and especially loves rough and tumble play with confident canine friends. She isn’t shy about sharing her excitement when she spots a potential new buddy, so her adopter should be ready to continue helping her practice polite greetings and manage her enthusiasm. She is also a big fan of meeting new people and has built quite the fan club on her neighborhood walks thanks to her expressive personality and joyful energy.
Pumpernickel is estimated to have been born in December 2024 and weighs just under 40 lbs. This bright, active girl would do best with an experienced adopter who can give her plenty of exercise, structure, and opportunities to learn. A home with a yard and an active lifestyle would be ideal for helping her thrive. In return, Pumpernickel promises endless entertainment, loyal companionship, and the sweetest post-adventure snuggles you could ask for!
Pumpernickel’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.
