Great semi energetic snuggly little boy!! Please contact us to submit an application directly at Kzyrnr17@yahoo.com or info@dogdiggityrescue.com or  https://www.shelterluv.com/matchme/adopt/HTX/Exotic/Other Rubble is a 6 mos old  (DOB 8 Feb 2023) 40 lb Boxer/Retriever mix.  He will be a medium to large dog as an adult.  Rubble, his mom (45 lb) and littermates were found running down access road of a highway when they were 5 weeks old.  Everyone in litter and mom died of Distemper (due to owner not giving them shots).  Rubble is the sole survivor.  He will be special needs throughout his life.  He is a very special puppy that has tons of love to give and loves all humans, children, playing with other polite /low energy dogs, playing with toys and visiting with volunteers/staff getting chicken /treats. Did we say he LOVES his humans?  When he plays and does his walk abouts you do not see any affects of distemper.  He is crate trained, walks on a leash and loves car rides.  He will benefit from some continued obediance training and public socialization with new environmental objects.  He will play, then will hang out on the couch or your lap.  He requires an owned home with a securely fenced yard in a colder climate as the hot TX temperature is not conducive to his health.   He is looking for a special needs mixed breed dog experienced family.  He will do best with another dog companion and someone that works from home or caregiver (female) is home.    No apartments.   Courtesay post for the Helotes Humane Society. Story
Meet Bloomin’ Onion, a Boxer who’s as irresistible as his name! This 2-year-old, 51-pound brindle-and-white hunk is a full order of fun, served with extra joy. When he’s not trotting politely on leash like the well-mannered gentleman he is, he’s bursting into glorious zoomies—this guy lives for a good run and isn’t shy about showing it. Bloomin’ Onion absolutely loves people and soaks up attention like his favorite dipping sauce. He plays enthusiastically and can be a bit rough-and-tumble in his excitement, so he’d do best in a home with no kids under 12 who can appreciate his bouncy Boxer energy. He’s been friendly with other dogs at the shelter and hasn’t shown any reactivity, making him an easygoing and social companion. Sweet, energetic, and endlessly adorable, Bloomin’ Onion is the kind of dog who makes every day better—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and guaranteed to make you smile. The dog adoption fee is $110. They come spayed/neutered, microchipped, first set of vaccines including DAPP (parvo combo), Bordatella (kennel cough), have been dewormed with Pyrantel, and have been treated with selamectin for fleas. Our website updates every hour, but some animals may be adopted faster than we can get them updated online. If you`d like to check on the status of an animal, please call us at 360-352-2510.
