Story
Meet Pumpernickel, a one-of-a-kind mix of brains, bounce, and snuggles wrapped up in a petite and impressive Bull Terrier x German Shepherd package. She’s an energetic, silly girl who greets life with enthusiasm and is looking for an active family ready to keep up with her adventurous spirit. Pumpernickel loves being on the move! Long walks, sniffing adventures, flirt pole games, tug sessions, and puzzle toys are all high on her list of favorite activities. She’s incredibly smart and learns quickly, especially when treats or games are involved! She’ll thrive in a home that enjoys training, enrichment, and keeping life engaging. With her sharp nose and love of problem-solving, she’d be a total star in activities like nose work. Whether she’s tossing her toys into the air to chase them herself or making a surprise appearance in a video meeting, she keeps her people laughing every day. After she’s burned off her energy, Pumpernickel’s snuggly side shines! When she’s tired, she turns into a total cuddlebug who just wants to curl up close and soak in affection. She loves her people deeply and is happiest when she’s included in daily life, whether that’s heading out for walks, exploring new places, or relaxing together on the couch. Pumpernickel enjoys other dogs and especially loves rough and tumble play with confident canine friends. She isn’t shy about sharing her excitement when she spots a potential new buddy, so her adopter should be ready to continue helping her practice polite greetings and manage her enthusiasm. She is also a big fan of meeting new people and has built quite the fan club on her neighborhood walks thanks to her expressive personality and joyful energy. Pumpernickel is estimated to have been born in December 2024 and weighs just under 40 lbs. This bright, active girl would do best with an experienced adopter who can give her plenty of exercise, structure, and opportunities to learn. A home with a yard and an active lifestyle would be ideal for helping her thrive. In return, Pumpernickel promises endless entertainment, loyal companionship, and the sweetest post-adventure snuggles you could ask for! Pumpernickel’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Pumpernickel at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##2579234##

Story
Meet Alexis, a sweetheart with a silly streak and a serious passion for birdwatching! Alexis is the kind of dog who believes the best relationships are worth taking your time with. She prefers to observe from a distance before deciding you're worthy of her friendship, but once you've earned her trust, prepare to lose all personal space forever! Alexis becomes a devoted cuddle bug who wants nothing more than to be close to her favorite people. This sensitive girl has a wonderfully expressive personality! She loves collecting squeaky toys and carefully arranging them in her bed, enjoys long naps, and can often be found following her foster brother around to see what exciting things he's doing. She also takes her backyard birdwatching duties very seriously and can spend impressive amounts of time supervising the local wildlife. Alexis has a hilarious snorting sound she pulls out whenever she's feeling annoyed or isn't getting her way, making her foster swear she's part cow, part moose, and part dog. She has a sweet, spunky side that emerges more and more as her confidence grows. Alexis does best with another calm, confident dog in the home who can help show her the ropes and provide reassurance when the world feels overwhelming. She thrives with patience, structure, and people who allow her to warm up at her own pace. Once Alexis loves you, she loves you completely. Alexis is estimated to have been born in June 2025 and weighs 46lbs. She is a mixed breed dog who is part Husky, Bull Terrier, German Shepherd, and Boxer!  If you're looking for a loyal companion, expert cuddler, toy collector, and birdwatching partner, Alexis may just be your perfect match. Alexis’s adoption fee is $450. She is spayed, up to date on vaccines, and microchipped. Per our rescue policy, unless specifically noted in a dog's bio, we will not consider adoption applications from families with children under 5 years old.  Fill out an adoption application for Alexis at: https://www.forgottendogsrescue.com/adoption-application ##2466306##

Story
🐾 Looking for a loving home 🐾 This is Tyberius (Nugget), an almost 6-year-old boxer/lab mix who weighs about 70 pounds. He is friendly, loyal, playful, and does well with kids/dogs/cats. He is house-trained, crate-trained, and knows basic commands. We’re rehoming due to moving, and we want to find the best possible home where Tyberius will be loved and cared for. Ideal home: yard, active family, other dogs Tyberius is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and in good health. He does have a chicken allergy so he gets lamb dog food. Please message me with a little about yourself and your home if you’re interested ❤️
