Calico kittens & cats in Fountain Hills, Arizona

My grandmother adopted Gumby as a kitty about three years ago. Due to health issues she is moving into assisted living and will not be able to take her cat with her. I am unable to take care of Gumby due to severe cat allergies so we are looking for a new home for her. Gumby is a long-hair calico, about three years old. She can be a little shy around new faces but in no time at all she will become very loving and affectionate. Her favorite activities are sitting by the window and watching TV. There is no previous history of health issues. Because of how quickly her living situation is changing, I want to re-home her as quickly as possible. Cami is ready for her forever home. She’s a beautiful calico girl, born approximately 11/5/2021. Cami’s spine is damaged but she gets around just fine. She does need her bladder and bowels expressed. She’s on a good routine now and spends the day in a diaper and sleeps without a diaper in a kennel at night. She’s a little shy with new people and she loves other gentle kitties. Kalani is a dilute calico, tabby. She is very sweet and lovable. She has a lot of energy and loves to run and play with toys and loves interactive toys. She especially loves to bird watch out a window or bat balls across a room. She is shy at first but warms up to people quickly. She doesn't love to be picked up and held, but does love petting and attention and purrs while being petted and will roll onto her back for belly rubs. She gets along with most cats after a very slow introduction. She would do best in a quiet home. Kalani has had a full-mouth extraction due to Stomatitis. Sid has tested positive for Feline Leukemia Virus (FeLV), a virus that weakens the immune system and is primarily spread through saliva-such as during grooming or by sharing food, water, or litter boxes. It can also be passed from a mother cat to her kittens or through bites during fights. In this case, the virus was likely passed down from the mother. The prognosis for FeLV-positive kittens is often poor-many don't survive beyond their first year. That said, some do live several happy, love-filled years, especially when they receive regular veterinary care and enjoy a calm, low-stress home. In rare cases, young kittens may even clear the virus entirely. For that reason, retesting is recommended until they reach 6 months of age. If you're considering adopting a FeLV-positive kitty, we encourage you to do some research in advance to make sure it's the right fit for your household. Cats already in the household should be kept separate unless they've also tested positive for FeLV. Adoptions are by appointment only.
