Story
I adopted Smores about 9 months ago. I have 2 neutered male cats and she just doesn't get along with them. Her previous family declawed her which put her at a distinct disadvantage when trying to play with the boys. She is a sweet cat but I fear she is going to get hurt playing rough as she came from a single cat household and never learned how to play with other cats. She would be an ideal cat as a single pet and is very affectionate. She comes with a pet carrier and a large bag of food. I can also include a litter box and a new (1 month old) cat climber

Story
Approximate Date of Birth: 12/20/2011 | Pixie and Trixie are a gentle, sweet dynamic duo! After their beloved human passed away, they were heartbroken. With time, patience, and care, they learned to love again. Pixie is the playful, silly one; the day she found the courage to meow for attention again was truly heartwarming. She took her human's loss the hardest but now happily accepts pets, affection, and takes great pride in shredding cardboard scratchers and boxes. Trixie is the more timid sister who looks to Pixie for reassurance that new people are safe. Both adore gentle brushing and &#194&#147cat TV,&#194&#148 especially when they can pounce at the cartoon bugs on the screen. Though considered seniors, they deserve to spend their golden years basking in love and tenderness with a family to call their forever home. Could that be you? | Sociable with cats: Likes with proper introduction. | Sociable with dogs: Does not like dogs. | Sociable with kids: does not care for children. | Health information: All cats and kittens are spayed and neutered, preventatively dewormed, and microchipped. In addition, they are FeLV/FIV tested and vaccinated as appropriate by age. | Interested in adopting? Story
Kalani is a calico kitty. She is very sweet and lovable. She has a lot of energy and loves to run and play with toys and loves interactive toys. She especially loves to bird watch out a window or bat balls across a room. She is shy at first but warms up to people quickly. She doesn't love to be picked up and held, but does love petting and attention and purrs while being petted and will roll onto her back for belly rubs. She gets along with most cats after a very slow introduction. She would do best in a quiet home. Kalani has had a full-mouth extraction due to Stomatitis. It has completely cleared up and she's doing great. Approx. DOB: 7/1/22 If you would like to meet Kalani, please go to https://hart-az.org/hart-cats-for-adoption-1 and fill out an application. If approved, we will contact you to set up a time for a meet and greet.

Story
Misa is a beautiful cat. Roughly 9 months old. During the day she is your stereotypical cat, aloof, wanting attention and affection on her terms. But at night she is a huge cuddler who loves to curl up at your feet or at your side to sleep. We are having to rehome her due to her not being able to get along with our older cats. She would be a wonderful cat for a single cat household. We would love nothing more than to find her a loving home.

These cats are in Gilbert, Arizona too!

Story
Meet the "melt in your lap" cat, Michaelangelo. Michaelangelo, along with his siblings, were rescued from the middle of a busy parking lot. Regularly fed by feeders, the juvenile kitties grew to accept human kindness. Michaelangelo has become quite the young gentleman. He is approximately 1.5 to 2 years old. He was a bit more shy than his siblings (who have already been adopted), but he has blossomed into a loving, playful, happy, and lap loving kitty. Favorite things: cuddling in laps, gentle head and back pets, treats, playing, watching birds through the window, sleeping on his cat post, calm environment. Michaelangelo enjoys the pampering and friendship of his human companion and bonded friend, Butterscotch. He also gets along with other playful, non-dominating cats who don't mind playing chase on friendly terms. He may also enjoy a cat friendly dog. He would be okay with older, kind, respectful kids. Michaelangelo is an ideal cat in many ways. He is a lump of love and will easily capture your heart as he adjust to his new home with his friend, Butterscotch. I am amazed these two sweethearts are still available. If his story, personality, and pictures capture your heart, please inquire to see how Michaelangelo and his friend, Butterscotch, can be forever yours. Notes: Please contact the foster parent directly for questions and a quicker response to your inquiry: kivers@fullerton.edu Please note that Butterscotch is bonded with Michaelangelo and come as a pair. Total adoption fee for both is $300. Kitties are spayed/neutered, dewormed, vaccinated, and chipped. Health records are provided, as are toys, bed/blanket, and current food. Interested adopters will be asked to complete an application for review and arrange a meet and greet with the kitty at the potential adopter's home. We want to ensure kitties are a good match for the adopter and the home is a good match for the kitty(s). Adopting a pet is a life-long commitment, through sickness and in health. We consider them family. Please note that most new pets will need time to adjust and feel comfortable in their new environment. This is natural. Here is information on the 3-3-3 rule: https://companionanimalcommunitycenter.org/your-cat-settling-into-your-home-with-the-3-3-3-rule/

Meet Leo! This boy is 4 years old and is looking for a new place to call home. He was found as a stray who got along with all the feral kitties, but he wasn't feral! He was brought into rescue and the rest is history. This sweet boy is neutered, current on vaccines, microchipped and negative for FIV/FeLV.  He loves to cuddle and will sleep with you if you let him. He does fine in a crate if he needs to be transported and does well in the car. If you are looking for a sweet boy and don't mind an extra roommate who will ask for food and water, hurry and fill out an application on our website. His adoption fee is $100. A home check is required after a meet and greet. March 16, 2026, 3:33 pm

Story
Do you love cats and dogs equally but can only have one or the other, right now? Forget about choosing between the two because we have Clap Clap Kitty Cat - a dog trapped in a cat's body. You read that right. Clap Clap by all scientific accounts is a cat, but his personality is very much like a dog. He's a 2 1/2 year old, 15lb fella who does not like other cats, loves to play with toys, will come when you call him, rolls over onto his back when getting pets, and likes to chew on things. And to help with his chewing, we do have some solutions and chew sticks ready to go home with him. We know we're lucky to have the best of both worlds with Clap Clap. And you can too! Come and meet Clap Clap at our adoption shelter to see if he's your purrfect cat.No appointments are necessary and you can come see us anytime we are open. Please go to our website (www.azfriends.org) to fill out a consultation form then come and see us! We do require any family interested in meeting our dogs or cats to fill out a consultation form - this form helps us determine if the dog/cat and the home are a good match, since it is so easy to fall in love with a photo without knowing the personality of the dog/cat. Once you have filled out the online Adoption Consultation Form, just come in and see us (or come and see us and fill out the consultation form upon arrival)! Please note that ALL dogs and cats are available to the first potential adopter who we feel is a good match. In order to help make the best match, we do want all family members (dogs and humans) to meet any potential new family member. Our adoption center hours are: Closed Sunday/Monday; Tuesday 10a - 2p, Wednesday 3p - 7p, Thursday 3p - 7p, Friday 10a - 2p, Saturday 10a - 4p. We are located at 952 W Melody Avenue in Gilbert (zip code 85233).All animals are altered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, licensed (dogs). Cats tested for FELV/FIV. Dogs tested for Heartworm. All animals are available to the first family that is a good match, and if we have more than one animal who is a good match, there will be a lottery for all matches. Note that families must have come in to our adoption center and spoken with an adoption counselor prior to any lottery (when we have lotteries, they usually occur on Saturday mornings).
