Story
We have several litters of kittens to chose from- all colors- Tabby, Black/White, Orange ETC. Many are yet to be listed. Please fill out an application ASAP for priority consideration (link at the bottom). See why we are different from other rescues & Shelters! ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! No one knows the kittens better than the people who have had them for the last several weeks or more. They will give you full details as to personality, background, quirks, likes/dislikes, ETC. Since adopting a pet is a commitment for the next 15-20 years, you want as much information as possible to make the best decision. ***Private, quiet meet & greets You get to visit the kittens in their own current environment where they run free so their true personality shines through. Our kittens aren’t subjected to noisy stores and stressful cages and you won’t be competing with other annoying people for your desired kittens. ***Quality over Quantity We are a small rescue so we can focus on each kitten individually to provide personalized medical & socialization protocols. Because we do not overcrowd, our cats do not pass contagious diseases to each other. ***Veterinary Care We balance a mix of holistic & conventional protocols to keep our kittens healthy. We use high quality disease preventatives & medication when necessary. Mission Meow only wants the best medical care for our kittens, so we don’t skimp on those costs AT ALL. We work closely with our vet to come up with a plan for any kittens who may be ill and to prevent any unnecessary and over medicating. Three local veterinarians have adopted from us after observing the quality of our kittens. ***FOOD: Our kittens are nourished with high-quality food. We've been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. ***Resident Pet/Child Safety While no one can guarantee the health of any living being, we do our best to make sure your adopted kitten does not have any issues such as parasitic worms that can be passed on to your resident pets or children. We have a very thorough deworming protocol using the best products on the market and the proper duration. Most places adopt kittens while they are in between showing signs of intestinal worms. Not us. ***POST ADOPTION SUPPORT It is extremely rare that we have any issues post adoption, but if there were any that presented themselves, we would work with you towards a resolution. We pride ourselves on the one-on-one relationships we build with our adopters. __________________________________________________________ ALL CATS ARE: SPAYED/NEUTERED ~Vaccinated ~Rabies* ~Microchipped** ~Tested for Diseases ~TREATED/PREVENTATIVE FOR: Fleas Worms Ear Mites ~Litterbox Trained ~Socialized in private foster homes ~MULTI ADOPTION DISCOUNT * If age appropriate ** FREE LIFETIME REGISTRATION ____________________________________________________ APPLICATION: For FAQS and Priority Consideration, please fill out an application located here: https://www.missionmeowcats.org/adoptables-and-process _____________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION LOCATION:***** By private appointment in Rocklin/Roseville/Lincoln/Citrus Heights/Auburn CA area, or at Bark Avenue Rocklin ______________________________________________________ *****ADOPTION PROCESS:***** APPLICATION: Please contact us and we will send you an online application. A response is usually given with 24-48 hrs if we think it's a potentially good match. INTERVIEW: An adoption counselor will contact you via phone to answer any questions and if it seems like a good fit, arrangements will be made for all parties to meet with desired cat(s) at a mutually agreeable time. APPROVAL: If adoption is approved, a contract and adoption fee to cover veterinary costs will be required. You will be given medical files. TIME FRAME: Based on volunteer availability, it is possible for all adoption steps to be completed the same day, however, it is not guaranteed. Please note that occasionally a home check, vet records/references, etc may be required and multiple people may be interested in the same cat(s) so additional time may be necessary. You are also welcome to get the kitten an appointment with your own veterinarian at your expense prior to adoption, just be aware that may delay the adoption by several days. WHY: Our adoption vetting process ensures a proper feline fit for your family. You may be a wonderful pet owner but may not be the best fit for a particular cat, or other extenuating circumstances. Also, YOU may know you are a good pet owner, but we don't. We exist because too many people view pet ownership as casual or disposable so we want to be sure the best match is made for the next 15-20 years. Your patience and understanding as to where we are coming from are much appreciated. Our adoption process is also reflective of the extremely thorough medical protocol our kittens receive. Thank you! Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) Did that photo get your attention? That’s what happens when my foster mom doesn’t understand why I haven’t been adopted yet. Do I look amused? Well, I'm not. I'm not amused about the photo and I'm not amused that I am still stuck in my foster home. Sure, it's nice here and the people and visitors are nice, but I really want to be in my own home and I want one of my brothers or foster brother Axel to come with me, unless you already have fun youthful cats at home that will be my friend and let me play with them. As you can see by my photos, I am a tad smaller than my two brothers. But what I lack in size I make up for in love. I am by far the most affectionate of us three boys and I am called the Little Lover Boy by my foster mom. I am the first one on a lap or chest to cuddle. I am, at times, calmer than my brothers but I also don’t have a problem keeping up with them in a good wrestling match. I get along with everyone and am a social butterfly. I enjoy hanging out with my foster mom on the couch watching TV and taking cat naps with her. Just like my brothers, I too love the times of day when our wet food is delivered. So now that you know a little bit about me please don’t make we wait too much longer before you come to meet me. Life is too short to not have me in it. I know my foster mom is going to be sad when I go home but she knows that my home and family are out there somewhere and that is where I should be. Other kittens are waiting to come to the Foster School but they can’t until our families pick us all up. Why not make today the day! Come and meet me, fall in love with me, take me home and spoil me rotten. ________________________________________________________________________ ****HOW WE ARE DIFFERENT FROM OTHER RESCUES/SHELTERS**** ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! Story
1) READ ENTIRE AD 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end). Hi I'm Athena, and I am becoming the best lap kitty ever! I have learned that laps are where I get pets and tummy rubs. How bad can that be? I am of course still in training but I’m getting the hang of it! I know that my life is a journey and I am embracing it the best I can. I am learning to be more confident and to trust people that I don’t know. What I really want to do is play all day with my brothers, Apollo and Hercules, and our toys but I know that I still have a lot to learn. Being in a home is so much better than being at the school where my life started, with my parents and my four siblings. Being outside was scary and I didn’t like it so please don’t ever let me outside. I want to feel safe and have a long happy life with my new family. I enjoy the occasional kitty treat while I hang out with my foster parents and the resident cats and dog. I’m still a kitten so I have a lot of energy so I like to run around and play a lot. I really like it when my foster mom plays with me with wand toys. My foster mom says that I have learned enough to move on to my forever home and it would really help me transition if I had one of my brothers or another appropriate animal peer with me. My new home can also have other cats and even a dog if it’s calm and has been around shy cats before. I know I’m a work in progress but I’m also a shining star that will light up your life and provide a lifetime of cuddles and happiness. *****BIO:***** ________________________________________________________ ***WHY MISSION MEOW IS BEST TO ADOPT FROM:*** ***Complete Information You get to speak directly to the foster family who have the kittens in their care! Story
1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) Hi I'm Hercules, and I have been hanging out at my foster home, with two of my siblings (Apollo & Athena) learning how to be a confident kitty companion to both humans, felines and canines. I really enjoy just hanging out with the big cats and the nice dog that are at my foster home passing the time. At other times I run around with my siblings playing with our toys. I am a sprinter when I hear the treat bag because I know my brother Apollo will be running as fast as he can to get to the treats first. It has taken me some time to feel comfortable at my foster home but now that I am more comfortable I like to follow my foster mom around the house supervising everything that she does. I like being close to my foster mom because I know that she will keep me safe. Sometimes I still scared, but I think everyone does from time to time. I especially like it when my foster mom picks me up and gives me special attention. I also enjoy hanging out on the cat tree with my siblings, in front of the window, watching what is going on outside. As I get older I’m sure I will become more confident and will be the best kitty companion ever. I will need my new family to continue working with me and being patient as I continue to blossom. It would be super awesome if I could grow up with one of my four siblings. It’s always great having a friend to play and snuggle with. I would be happy having a home with other cats and even a cat savvy dog. My siblings and I are eagerly waiting to start the next journey of our lives and hope that we will be sharing it with you. We ‘ve been offered free /discounted food from other companies but we choose to use the best option even if it costs more for us. Thank you! 1) READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION 2) ALL FAQS ANSWERED HERE & ON OUR WEBSITE 3) APPLICATION REQUIRED (link at the end) Meet Nebula, a delightful young tabby-Abyssinian mix with short, silky fur who’s ready to find her forever home! This sweet and friendly feline loves nothing more than pets under her chin and playing hide and seek with her sister foster sister, Baja Blast. Nebula is a playful spirit who enjoys all kinds of toy wands, especially the ones with feathers, and can’t resist the allure of catnip and squeezable kitty tube treats. When she’s not chasing and hiding in her play tube with her sister, Nebula loves to lounge in her comfy bed by the window, watching the world go by. She’s a pro at making biscuits and enjoys chilling in her pop-up tent. If you’re looking for a loving and playful companion, Nebula and her sister from another Mister (Baja Blast) are the perfect additions to your family! Nebula and her foster sister Baja Blast are looking to get adopted together so they will always have each other’s company.
